The USB hub is a major major plus. I dont know how many Streamers I have had to tell one of the biggest things they need to focus on when building/buy a new stream PC is their USB inputs, especially if you're doing specialty content, like Vtubers or play Simulators. Controllers, Keyboards, Mic, Cameras, and Microphones start to add up quick, before you know it you are out of ports. My guess is Elgato figured a lot of folks already have the Wave XLR and Stream Deck Plus, so now those folks can just plug all of their fancy Elgato ecosystem into the back of this one hub. That's super cool.

Based on the website description for this USB hub, I'm betting the answer is that it isn't recommended, but my biggest gripe with the Prompter and Facecam (I have the MK2) is that they need dedicated ports to work consistently. I've seen people not have issues if using them in a Thunderbolt dock, but regular USB C/3.0+ ports don't seem to have the bandwidth you need to run them simultaneously.
I haven’t had issues with using the prompter on a hub (mine right now is sharing a hub with a capture card and running fine) but I always have problems with Elgato webcams and hubs. They just really eat bandwidth ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That USB hub is huge for a setup like mine. New MOBOs don't usually have the total number of ports I actually need. I love that they're just incorporating it into a device I already have, instead of taking up more desk space!
Pretty cool. Missed opportunity though. The XLR addon clearly could of been bigger. Feel like they could of combined the XLR and USB and SD Card Reader hub into one device. If they would do that for say $150 it might convince me to move all my stuff over to Elgato. Instead they make you choose. If anything they should of had a third combo device option. Maybe in the future?
If you really want to have an all in one then you should wait. I've been saying it for years and it is what the people want, it will take a while but it will come out eventually. Wait for that.

If I didn't already have a wave xlr and stream deck xl I would be buying the combo. My wave XLR just sits under my desk, I designed a bracket I 3d printed to mount it so its not just hanging.
We’ve been toying around with some new colors recently for some upcoming projects. This one felt like the style I’ve been looking for for years. I’m so pumped you noticed 🥹
Dude that’s so cool I hold but one but I have a plus and a go clean which isn’t dead. I’m so happy tc helicon came back and are updating their products again.
If they somehow do it to every other stream deck excluding the mini and neo then I will be amazed. For someone who need a desk clean and not having a usb port on the desk will be amazed by how the team thought of it now. This will probably be a game changer
how do you tie this in with your headset? do you still use the steelseries arctis nova pro wireless? i have that headset with a go xlr dual pc setup and a go xlr mini for the second pc so i can hear audio from both pc's. is something like that possible with this? (if not elgato should come out with an audio jack input output back module lol)
Amazing stuff from Elgato. I just picked up the Stream Deck + on Prime Day and have been wanting a good XLR interface that doesn't break the bank. This solves that issue with a bow on top.
I'm so hyped to pickup the hub for my setup. I've been wanting a way to just simplify how all my stream stuff is connected and that hub is going to be the ticket!
My only issue with the XLR dock for the stream deck+ is that I was eying Elgato's mic bundle (XLR dock, mic, arm) and picking up a Stream deck+ separate, but now I'm rethinking that idea and doing budget math to see what to pick up now
This is great, but as someone who would like both the attachments but has just one ultra and one XL, I'd love to see the USB hub attachment for regular streamdecks, preferably the XL. Also, never looked too hard at the ultra so TIL that the bottom is detachable.
Kinda huge! Love to see how Elgato gets to solve different problems and simplify their product lines! Unfortunately, I already have the WaveXLR, so I guess Ill just sit with that 😅
Replacing the go xlr was exactly what I was thinking when I saw this. I hate how difficult go xlr makes audio routing within OBS (not being able to mute vod track, etc.., since it all runs through the broadcast stream mix and all)
The XLR setup is a clean way to go for sure. But for me it's the USB hub for sure. I've been looking for a clean way to add a USB hub to my setup and fits in on unusable space on the back of my stream deck + perfect sign me up lol.
i just saw this in the wave link software update and wanted to cry after just buying the streamdeck new 3 months ago and as an owner of the xlr with coil whine problem
I have a Stream Deck + which is amazing, it really opened up my audio control and there's no way back from here xD But I stuck with my usb mic because I didn't want another peripheral (audio interface) on my desk, so this is a great solution if I were to switch to an XLR device, but I'm also running out of USB ports (having joysticks, multiple keyboards, multiple audio outputs and a bunch more), so being able to convert an already owned piece of hardware into a usb hub without giving up desk space is also great! Finally justifies the weird angle of the original connection location too imho
Yay I sent through a request a while back that the streadeck plus should have a hub because being a Mac user I’m always out of ports and having two stream decks without a dock was pretty much impossible with all the other bits required to actually stream. So I hope it’s powerful enough to run my stream deck XL and pedal.
when the usb hub comes in i think it would be cool to see a full almost tutorial like setup of all the routing and such you have done with all 3 working hand in hand.
I have a stream deck and the wave XLR, and when I saw this, my first thought was two products in the space of one! I need to buy this. But I can’t because I don’t want cables running all the way across my desk so that the stream deck is easy to reach nor do I want to reach all the way across my desk so I can reach the stream deck, look at your set up, which looks really clean, no cables everywhere, but it looks like form over function. I have my stream deck right to the left of my keyboard so that I can easily manipulate. Isn’t it a bit counterintuitive to make things easy access and then put them across your desk so you have to reach over to use them?
The only downside with this is the lack of USB-A ports. There should be another row above the current one that has only USB-A ports since even though everyone likes to think USB-C is the only one anyone uses, most devices including all the Elgato products still use USB-A. So I'd like to have another row just for that.
I think I want this. I’ve been using a mbox mini for my mic. Less stuff on my desk would be nice. But lately wave link likes to reset everything. It’s so annoying that it almost makes me want to look at using something else. But damn when it works it works really well
I use a waveXLR and stream deck+, I wish they released this sooner as then I'd have one last thing on my desk, I just wish there's one that has both USB and XLR but there's probably a lot of noise
This is awesome bc I have an original stream deck + goxlr mini and there were no good options that combined the two. I’ve been wanting an all in one audio setup! Thanks elgato!
Nice! I’m moving my recording/streaming setup back to where I had it originally. It’s not at my desk, because I like my desk in the background and I don’t like the reverse look. So… I’m hiding my gear in plain sight. Anything that makes the footprint smaller is so appreciated. Odd going to take a while for me to decide this is for me… maybe, but it does give me another option
As a Mac user of the stream deck plus I NEED them to do a stream deck plus add on that does stereo out. If I could just run my speakers out of the deck that would be amazing.
I kid you not, if the XLR had a second output for a set of speakers as well as for headphones, this would fit exactly what I've been looking for for ages.
It's nice to have the dock if you already have a Stream Deck+ and Wave XLR - but I need to know how compatible the dock is with the rest of Elgato stuff. I get that it's a 5Gbps total connection; but how does that pair with the rest of their ecosystem. Can I plug in my Wave XLR, Stream Deck, and Prompter all into the dock and have all 3 devices AND the Stream Deck+ working? I'm going to look around for the answer, but I feel like providing some examples of how much the dock can handle would have been nice.
with goxlr releasing an update that adds submixes to the software would you stick with it if someone has it already or switch to something like this new release from elgato?
this is amazing, when i decide to upgrad to an xlr (when my Hyper x quadcast dies eventually) I can now just mod my stream deck plus to have xlr support and not have to buy another device that hogs another usb port (that i dont have cos i have 2 stream decks (regular mk1 and stream deck +)
liking it but I wish they would have put a line out on them vs just the headphone out. I am using the headphone out as a line out though...so it works.
@senpai dude i jumped into the video because of the streamdeck. But what really for me was Milanote. The software sounds awesome. I usually do my videos off the cuff but an working on a new channel that i need to put more preparation into abs that's exactly what i needed. BTW it's not the first sponsor of yours that i have used. You find those great products abs bring them in as sponsors and sometimes mean more to me than the product your making the video about. I think i currently use 3 of your sponsors maybe more. Thanks again.
I like this, but honestly my mic quality went way down after switching to an Elgato environment, I wish the XLR attachment had the card reader, and some extra usb ports, but that's probably a big task to have that all in such a tight space and still maintain audio quality. I probably just need to spend a lot more time adjusting my audio, but even then somedays it sounds like trash, and I have to reboot the Elgato software.
this is great and all - but when can we get some software updates that allow us to do simple things like...switch our stream deck profile based on our OBS scene, or things like that?
Elgato recommends not plugging their Stream Decks into USB hubs. Interested to know if this hub works better with their products, including the 15 button size that uses USB 2.0. I have had all kinds of issues with lack of responsiveness and their software crashing since upgrading to a PC without a 2.0 port. If not going the hub route, this solution may finally let me drop my GoXLR which has the most finicky connection of any device I have ever used.
alright, I think my goxlr will now leave my desk in favor of this. I wanted the simplicity of the elgato ecosystem but i didnt wanna buy a stream deck + wave xlr. I waited and thought "maybe they're eventually doing something with the stream deck." and here it is!
As someone that switched to elgato from goxlr. Looking at a streamdeck+, wavexlr and steelseries DAC kinda of an eye sore all stacked in a corner. that attachment is one less thing to look at stacked up on my desk. I considered getting into 3D printing just to make a tray for that mess 🤣
@@seryooh I used to have a steelseries DAC on my desk as well, but when my old headphones were slowly dying I got myself a new one only to find out it hurt like shit to wear for some reason, so i ultimately switched to the latest logitech one lol Anyways, how do you like the wavexlr in combination with whatever mic you're using? Any tips for someone that is waiting for his streamdeck + xlr dock to arrive? :D
@@venilc yeah i read reviews the steelseries have discomfort issues mostly in ear or on the top band for some people. I ordered the wicked cushions gel cooling earpads to fix that issue. the combo works and is detected the same on your pc as if u had the gen1 wave xlr so its plug n play. the goxlr software just seemed outdated compared to the elgato ecosystem. i have the shure sm7b and noticed zero difference. tested it out on discord and in game and everything was same as before the upgrade.
@@seryooh That sounds great! I also have the sm7b and was wondering if there could be any noteable difference. I don't know much about audio stuff so I figured that the elgato software might be more of a streamlined experience compared to what I currently have with the GoXLR. There probably will be some adjustments I have to do, but those should be minor and easier in comparison to my current setup. Can't wait to set everything up when my stream deck arrives next week. And yes, the steelseries does have comfort issues, I used mine with my old hyper-x earcups but when those eventually were barely hanging on I tried other ones which sadly didn't feel comfy enough. I then tried their latest headphones but they also had the same issues and were barely useable for me.
@@venilc the only real tip i have that will save you hours of research is if your having sound/mic issues check in windows sound settings under "input" > "device properties" > "additional device properties" > "advanced" make sure the sample rate matches the sample rate in the wave link software. -After software and windows updates it will sometimes switch the sample rates and youll be so confused as to why it wont work. more than likely sample rate mismatch. -in the same windows settings next to advance is the "listen" tab, make sure to select "listen to this device" if you want to hear your own voice. you wont find it in wavelink software. - also dont turn on 48v phantom power in the wavelink software.
Thank God I waited. Now I have a reason to get the XLR Dock and Stream Deck Plus as one unit. (versus the separate Stream regular or plus with Wave XLR on the side)
Harris, did you ever make a video on swapping from a goxlr? I still use my golxr and love the separate audio channels.. i know you can do that now with the wavelink software i just have some issues with settings things up like how i have them with my goxlr.. And a friend still has issues with his wavelink and obs resetting to default audio devices.
now I just need the elgato + + XLR to come with another row of buttons and knobs so 3x4 + 2x4 and might as well double the touch screen size too. so it'll be the elgato + + XL XLR
That's great and all but I'm still waiting for Elgato to play nice with my Focusrite ASIO gear. Every time I wake my PC from sleep (Win 11) I have to terminate and relaunch WaveLink and StreamDeck software for the audio dials to work. And if I leave virtual instruments (VSTs) running for too long I get audio crackles. Problems disappear when WaveLink is removed or bypassed.
In itself, this product sounds very promising, but my personal complaints are that it only has a normal headphone input, which, once broken by mine, meant I had to buy a new one, so I would prefer a quarter inch one, simply because it's just robuster. But the real crux is the headphone performance, especially the monitoring, which is so bad compared with the ID4 II, so I unfortunately renounce.

I got an email about these this morning and I like them, but I dont think I could go with the xlr one since I already have an SSL2 interface.
If I didn't already have a wave xlr and stream deck xl I would be buying the combo. My wave XLR just sits under my desk, I designed a bracket I 3d printed to mount it so its not just hanging.
Hold up, you can plug the other streamdecks into the back of the USB hub streamdeck plus? If so that's a game changer.
The look and flow of this video feels a bit different than normal and I really like it. Love the color of the a-roll
We’ve been toying around with some new colors recently for some upcoming projects. This one felt like the style I’ve been looking for for years. I’m so pumped you noticed 🥹
The Hub plus the interface in one product would have been amazing 😱
Would have made too much sense
Thanks for the video, Harris. The XLR dock will solve a small problem that has existed within my Livestream set-up for about 12 months. 🙏
Oh get out of here with that seamless transition of added info and then back into the video!! That was way too cool, thanks for the video Harris.
My only issue with the XLR dock for the stream deck+ is that I was eying Elgato's mic bundle (XLR dock, mic, arm) and picking up a Stream deck+ separate, but now I'm rethinking that idea and doing budget math to see what to pick up now
i would get the Bundle me personally and getting the Stream Deck + w/ the USB Hub
I still dont have a Mic Arm so if a Bundle like that existed when i bought mine i would have gotten that instead
The USB Hub one is super dope
I've seen it on your setup video and was wondering for the whole time what it was, insane 🤯
It's a must have for those who already have the deck+
This is the perfect product for me , I was looking into both a stream deck and an audio mixer with XLR 😂😂
This is great, but as someone who would like both the attachments but has just one ultra and one XL, I'd love to see the USB hub attachment for regular streamdecks, preferably the XL. Also, never looked too hard at the ultra so TIL that the bottom is detachable.
That edit where you corrected yourself on the transfer speed was brilliant! I had a mini nerd moment there.
Kinda huge! Love to see how Elgato gets to solve different problems and simplify their product lines!
Unfortunately, I already have the WaveXLR, so I guess Ill just sit with that 😅
Glad they forgot about us, with our shitty inaccurate volume dial 🤮
Finally justifies the weird angle of the original connection location too imho
the first product i can see the appeal but i would like having the extra knob now the dock thats very useful
Go XLR is still software supported, the development team is in Denmark now and they’re still working on the next generation (so they have stated).
The only downside with this is the lack of USB-A ports. There should be another row above the current one that has only USB-A ports since even though everyone likes to think USB-C is the only one anyone uses, most devices including all the Elgato products still use USB-A. So I'd like to have another row just for that.
An upgrade like that for the Stream Deck XL would be nice. The Stream Deck + just doesn't have enough buttons from the start.
Gread adds to the SD+, i'm gong for the USB Hub 'cause my mac mini ports are insufficient, and also, i love the wave XLR dial XD
the xlr dock is the product I didn't know I needed!
I think I want this. I’ve been using a mbox mini for my mic. Less stuff on my desk would be nice. But lately wave link likes to reset everything. It’s so annoying that it almost makes me want to look at using something else. But damn when it works it works really well
been honestly looking to replace my GoXLR mini for a while now.
this feels like a honestly good choice
Can you do a breakdown of how you have things setup in your software? A guide of some sorts to follow!
As someone that is using the BEACN mice, the USB dock is probably the one that most of us could use. I'll be using it to run my camlink pro.
As a Mac user of the stream deck plus I NEED them to do a stream deck plus add on that does stereo out. If I could just run my speakers out of the deck that would be amazing.
Figures I would regret getting the Wave XLR back in January. I'm hoping to pick up the bundle but I also NEED those different colored dials.
Hopefully they make a stream deck xl variant in the future. If they somehow can combine all 3 pieces into one device I’d insta buy
Nice little additions there, might look into this.
A week ago I was thinking how they need to consolidate and catch up with the Bridgecast/other models. They could still do a bit more it looks like.
I just bought the Wace XLR like two week ago..... luckily on a discount, so its fine
I’m curious to see how the new hub pairs with their announced iPad integration since it can now charge devices 🤔
this is amazing, when i decide to upgrad to an xlr (when my Hyper x quadcast dies eventually) I can now just mod my stream deck plus to have xlr support and not have to buy another device that hogs another usb port (that i dont have cos i have 2 stream decks (regular mk1 and stream deck +)
liking it but I wish they would have put a line out on them vs just the headphone out. I am using the headphone out as a line out though...so it works.
Does the new Stream Deck Plus with XLR have enough gain for dynamic mics?
When you get everything in, I'd love to see a full setup video for all of these!
this is great and all - but when can we get some software updates that allow us to do simple things like...switch our stream deck profile based on our OBS scene, or things like that?
And when Elgato couldn't get any better. Thank you for the video.
The reason I haven’t switch is the smaller on xlr I love clipping peoples voices and playing them back to them and using them as sounds in my discord
alright, I think my goxlr will now leave my desk in favor of this.
@@seryooh I used to have a steelseries DAC on my desk as well, but when my old headphones were slowly dying I got myself a new one only to find out it hurt like shit to wear for some reason, so i ultimately switched to the latest logitech one lol
Anyways, how do you like the wavexlr in combination with whatever mic you're using?
If they released the hub for the XL? Ooooooooooohhhhhhh.
Streamdeck Plus XL with USB Wave XLR Combo attachment, the ULTIMATE Streamdeck
id buy the hub right now if it was available for the XL. even if it coast $20 more.
@@kebabgud damn , if only i had all of these things, a 3D printer, some CAD software and iFixit kit.
Thank God I waited. Now I have a reason to get the XLR Dock and Stream Deck Plus as one unit. (versus the separate Stream regular or plus with Wave XLR on the side)
Its bad. it just has Preamp power for the game. all the other stuff of the Wave XLR sucks...
im wondering if the USB hub would work for the audio in a dual pc setup ?
Harris, did you ever make a video on swapping from a goxlr? I still use my golxr and love the separate audio channels.. i know you can do that now with the wavelink software i just have some issues with settings things up like how i have them with my goxlr.. And a friend still has issues with his wavelink and obs resetting to default audio devices.
Really interested how you set up the wavelink software with the Decks you have now.
The edit on this video tho - is kinda fire
🙏 (I'm the editor replying to you)
@@Senpai Gj, mate 👊🏻
I have the complete opposite setup where my mic goes from a wave xlr with all the eq done on that to the beacn mix create where I manage my audio
now I just need the elgato + + XLR to come with another row of buttons and knobs so 3x4 + 2x4 and might as well double the touch screen size too. so it'll be the elgato + + XL XLR
Darn, why no Camlink 4k built in? It would be the perfect all in one for streamers otherwise.
