If you cast a spell with flashback, you can't pay any alternative costs such as overload costs. You can pay additional costs such as kicker costs. If the spell has any mandatory additional costs, you must pay those to cast the spell with flashback.
I think Ian forgot Forsaken Monument lets his Underground River tap for two. At 5:30 they tapped 4 mana to cast the Filigree Attendant when they could have tapped just Command Tower, Exotic Orchard, and the River. My unsolicited opinion is that I’m not sure the monument should even be in the deck. The constructs don’t need help being big and I didn’t see many lands that produce colorless or colorless creatures and spells to take advantage of the other things it does. Also, Urza has affinity for artifact creatures, not artifacts. He should have cost 5, not 3, when it was cast at 6:47.
Love me some Talrand, my second commander and the deck that made me love control! I've built so many versions of him and no counters really helps introduce yourself to new folks, it really helps to have some time to enjoy the game without people hating on you too much!
Talrand is the first deck I ever built. He is one of my favorite commanders, I'm glad he won the game, even though the Blustersquall couldn't be overloaded in this instance. Despite that missplay, I love that Max decided not to run any counterspells in his deck. Much respect.
If the blustersquall with overload has been cast through Lier, it cannot be done, since you're paying an alternative cost with an alternative cost. Anyway, cool game!

Overloading the blustersquall from the graveyard was a no no! Not sure if Andrew could’ve won, but otherwise this was an entertaining game!
