I played the Need for Speed Porsche game when I was a child and it was my favourite game for years. I still think it was one of the best racing games ever and it introduced me to this car. Legendary.
I cannot think of any single example of any purpose built race car Porsche built that is worth today less than the entire production run. I drove a plastic repro that had a hot 912 engine. Nothing below 4,000 but once there it was but a blink of the eye to past 6,000. The most exhilarating car I’ve ever driven. Someday maybe I’ll have a chassis to put my 912 engine in.
Should have told the story of what happened after James Deans death in his 550 Spyder. If any of y’all don’t know, after his death in it, the cars parts then became famous for being haunted, as drivers would die if parts from his 550 were installed in their car, and his 550 mysteriously disappeared one day on the back of a trailer

His co-driver was a German race driver and Porsche representative named Rolf Wütherich. He was badly injured in the accident, but survived.
Porsche, with all your experience, can you make a car that has 4 doors, does 0-100 in less than 2 sec, has top speed of 320km/h, and can drive over 800km on one tank? So don't brag about your "experience", it's irrelevant, it's now an anchor that prevents you from moving into the future. And yes, like the majority here, I grew up with NFS5 and dreaming of a porsche, I still do, but combustion cars make me 🤢🤮
