That Cade stat is wild👏🏽 I'm impressed by the young man. Even if they are targeting him in P&R, young fella is meeting the challenge not feelin sorry for himself But we all know both Thompson twins are waaayy better @ every possible area of defense, stats be damned
Teams guards are shooting an horrendous fg% vs the raptors. That's mostly due to Davion having big minutes this year. He shouldn't be in the honorable mention
Thoughts on lonzo ball this season and do you think he’s still the defensive juggernaut he used to be and if not you think he’ll ever get back to that defensive level ?
i mean, the league just overlooked the defense of offensive stars because of their effort ratio on offense vs defense. They can't defend other players for full-strength like other role players, that's why they are less considered as 'great defenders'
He’s a great defender, but he only plays 11 minutes per game. Just feel that’s too few to really include him on a list like this. But based on his skills, he certainly is one of the higher level defenders.
Dort and Shai have overrated defense. Their defensive rating are due to more of team defense and having a plethora of positive defenders, but Dort is literally that football player trying to play basketball and if he weren't on Okc who's currently the darlings of the NBA, Dort would rightfully foul out every game because he's being allowed to flop and hand check everyone. And I used to like Dort until I watched him more closely. Shai doesn't even guard the best opposing player. I noticed he's more so guards the 3-6th best players, basically roaming around waiting to block or steal the ball from unexpected guys from behind
@slynotsly okay? I did like Dort. I liked how much effort he plays every game, but watching him more, I hate his game now because all he does is literally foul every guy or just flops for fouls. He flops on every screen he tries to go around. It's annoying asf. Unlike Caruso, who plays elite clean defense, which is much better to watch than the muscle flopper
Shai and Dejounte are in the same category where they are good as roamers, but actually bad or average at PoA. It was overlooked on the mavs okc series, Shai was mostly guarding PJ which is why he went off most of the series. OKC is better now so they dont have to worry about it now.
@@bagonamanShai and Dort are both really good defenders, obviously above average, most likely a better defender than your favorite player, please go watch the Thunder yall in here trippin
I love seeing Anthony Black getting his flowers
Amen Thompson

He's more of a wing tho

My favorite NBA video of 2024. Worth a subscribe. Great job.
Appreciate it!
Wow no one saying Dyson Daniels is wild, it’s either bias or ignorance because he has been clearly the best 🤷♂️
cason wallace
🔥 video great idea do every position forwards and centers
very good video. love the dust buster.
i love your work. hope to see jalen green is this vid..... joooking!
oh, is miss podz!
Daniel’s is every teams nightmare. Without doubt the best defender going round. The only guy every coach warns his players about before a game.
Great video
Will see how many of them to be included into so-called All-D Teams.
Great breakdown tho 👍🏼
finally someone gave my boy dyson daniels some love
Dyson Daniels is the DPOY and there ain’t no debating that
I enjoy watching great perimeter defenders.
Well done. Nice list. Stephon Castle will soon Mae this list
Appreciate it and yes, I can see that.
Cason Wallace?
Where do u get your data?
Mix of Second Spectrum, Stathead, synergy and NBA stats
@@josh_cohen_nba 'Preciate ya'!
My top 5 would be
Alex Caruso
Dyson Daniels
Jalen Suggs
Amen Thompson
Anthony Black

jamal shead
3 Thunder guards, not to mention an elite forward in JDub, and one of the best defensive centers in Chet
Don’t agree with this list but great video keep it up

What is your opinion on jeremy sochan?

Still insane that the Celtics have Jrue Holiday.
Ryan Dunn has been pretty good too, especially for a rookie.
Yes, he’s more of a forward though.
No GP2?
At the time, he had not played enough.
No lu dort or Jalen Williams is insane ngl
Lu Dort is in there and Jalen Williams is not a guard
if u solely ranking these guards by their defensive capabilities i don't think the list is in the right order
Cason Wallace???
How about Steph Castle?
Definitely a rising player!
A healthy Ausar Thompson would've been 1 or 2 on this list.
Over Alex caruso? Probably not lol
@ Yes I think Thompson’s height and length grants him a higher defensive ceiling.
@atlanta1290 maybe a higher ceiling cuz he's younger. But ranking current defense ability, AC all day
@@s.Ace93 Caruso is a solid defender but have you watched Ausar Thompson?
@atlanta1290 a little bit. Not enough tho I guess. I'll keep a better eye on him
How is Derrick White not on this list?
U expect me to believe that fox is a better defender than jrue 😂
Cade Cunningham. The guy with a 112 d rating, negative DBPM, and negative, 42nd percentile DEPM? That Cade Cunningham?
found the advanced stat nerd
@dxnnxp3963 I mean, the argument for him being a good defender in this video is "some stars shot poorly when he was guarding them for 5 shots" so...
No KD?
GP2?

Drew Holiday
Ziaire williams got to be in here come on
He’s a forward.
@ Oh forgot haha. Thoughts on the nets ?
Once I saw Cade at 10 and over Derrick white I clicked off
tari eason?
He’s a forward.

Keep crying lmao💀
