I used to live in Phoenix and my parents and family lived on the East Coast. I made the drive 2 or 3 times a year and my first day was always leave Williamsburg Va. and drive to the rim above Albuquerque and just pull over and sleep in the car until dawn to see the sun rise into the city. It is one of the prettiest sites to see on the highway. Second Day onto Phoenix.
I have seen a lot of that crap out here in SoCal over the last 32 years. My dad used to tell me he saw a lot of that stuff in SoCal going back into the late 60's. Sadly, this irresponsible driving crap is not limited to the USA.
Yep, not long ago, I was exiting off a freeway, and turning left onto the road, and the guy behind me, tried passing me on the left, and couldn’t make it, then screamed at me I cut him off, one turn lane and he was behind me, how in the heck did I cut him off?
Hope you getting better soon. Not sure if can help you as well but the misses was sick and the coughing lasted weeks until she took Maximum Strength Mucinex DM. Just drink lots of water with it. Her cough calmed way down after 1 day.
I was parked at that Flying J back in the 90's. I had my T600 then. I had the right window down about halfway. I was sitting in the driver's seat and I felt someone get up on the right side. This lot lizard 🦎 puts her hand on the glass to pull herself up. My dog was lying between the seats and went flying through the air and bit the gals hand. Man, did she ever take off. I've never been back.
Trucker life. Were not supermen. We get sick, it just sucks more than others because we have no choice but to keep on steppin. Dont get the coddling and warm soups and comfy beds. Thanks for keepin it real brother. Be safe out there.
Seeing your father is no one else’s decision to make. If you want to see him, the hell with what everyone else wants. I think it’s something you’ll thank yourself for later. I had a nutcase sister, and still do. I haven’t had contact with her in 17yrs. And life is good.
Well I used to live in Albuquerque and me and my family moved to St Paul Minnesota. Life here is much faster but at the same time I miss the desert. Thanks for the beautiful video of my home state
Was watching an older video and you were talking about a rare truck it actually newer than Orwell . I had a fld 120 with 70" mid roof with a set forward front Axel. Try to find one of them it was either 1999 or 2000.
I live in Ridgway Colorado, it's about 100 miles south of grand Junction. I let my CDL go cuz my eyesight is bad. You stay safe out there on the road 🙏 💯
Once you started sweating getting wet out side hyperthermia will kick in a common cold. The most common way of shaking a cold is sweating in bed or inside letting your body fight naturally.
Steve, I’m sorry you’re going through that crap with the family. I’m an old man now fortunate There was no drama involved which was a blessing. Stay safe out there driver
Hope you get clear of the crud, and hope you're not deadheading home. Really great sequence of vids. Like the coverage, as if we're with you throughout.
I've driven from Flagstaff to Albuquerque to go to a course at the Air Force Base there. I was in the Marines and stationed at Yuma when I went to that course in Albuquerque. It was a fun and beautiful trip.
Hey bro right on. Don't see a lot of cabovers no more on the road . 1984 Pete cool. That was the year I started driving trailer trucks dump wagons with an old Pete 359.
I wish l was with you hero. Only one .thing l like better than truckin around in a truck like Orwell and thats truckin around out west in a truck like Orwell. Be safe coming home.❤
Thank you for your service. Vitamin C, D, Z, and don’t walk by anyone in your travels who is Or seam sick. Or buy food 🍲 if they are sick and serving food. I drove for 23 years and would never get a poke in the arm 💪
The VA had been sending me out to Albuquerque via plane for treatment. They'd put me up in Hero's Hall on the campus at the hospital. I got to see some of the city and it is set in a rather beautiful mountain valley. Quick changing weather too. The airport is right behind the VA hospital.
Hi Steve. It's so cool to see ORC ( Orwell Rollin' Coal ). Love his growl also. No tiny bubbles, just black coal..lol. It is pure joy to ride along with you! This old exdriver loves it. The next best thing to being there. Stay safe. Avoid sick people, if you can. Drive on!!! I'm Canadian but will still say... thanks for your service. We all believe in freedom.🇨🇦
As for your dad, you will know what you should do. I lost both of my parents a few years ago, I wish they were still here on earth, but know they are in a better place. Mom had dementia and dad died from a broken heart and sepsis. you are correct, your dad doesn't know what is going on, he does love you as does your mom. God Bless. You and your family will be in our prayers.
I was in a similar situation with my half sister and my brother and I tell you, you hate to side against your sister or brother but when you know what is going on and you see what is going on you have to protect your moo and your dad, so I'm with you 100% in what you are going through it sea like when it rains it pours, be safe and careful out there Michael from Mississippi.
Welcome to Gallup N.M. Where you got Orwell washed. Never thought I would see you come through my home town wish I would have known I would have bought you some lunch. Long time subscriber here ✌️
Steve, brother, I was in the hospital 3 years ago. I am off my feet and have to have oxygen all the time now, its no fun when you used to be a type a personality. Be sure to get by the pharm and pick up some daily multi vitamin and some seperate c and d, should help you out a lot.
IMHO Stop and see your Dad. The only "Earthly" one you have. Be discreet, if necessary to "keep the peace" Remember that Mike and the Mechanics tune. Trust me brother on that one.
Im not sure what is going on with your family and you Steve but I hope you go see your pop. I lost mine under bad terms and the last time I got to say goodbye was when I identified his body after his truck wreck. That was 40 years ago but still feels like yesterday. Say goodbye and let him know you love him if you can.

SMH * Get yourself some Vit. C, Zinc, and Vit. D3 supplements and feel better soon ! 🙂
Great video!!!! Rolling Coal troughout the video i mean it dont get any better than that! I might have a idea as to why Orwell Rolls Coal only after being shut down the 'first pull' a harmless case of the turbo not spinning properly *Waking up* and causing the Air to Fuel mixture to be off causing 'overfueling' and the Coal. Especially at 12:23 to 12:27 you can hear the turbo waking up as the Coal starts to clear up abit. It's just a tought. Kind Greetz from The Netherlands Bjorn
The TA in Albuquerque is within walking distance from some hotels. Most of the TA in Burque is pay to park these days along with a short Uber lift to the better hotels. I used to stay at the Ramada Inn on University.
Steve, I liked Dean Martins cover of Tiny Bubbles the best. However, I can think of much better cadences to march to, well for others to march to. Me no march no mores. lol I am a little behind on watching videos but I promise I will get caught up. Congratulations on making 100K last night. Hope you're feeling much better by now. Take care Sir.

SOME PEOPLE JUST CAN NOT WAIT ONE EXTRA MINUTE FOR A TRUCK TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC.
Those “people” can’t wait for anybody to merge into traffic.

Dude, the idea of you getting a forklift for your Fort is awesome. You'd use it so much. Especially with the rebuild and any future work on Orwell.
Freedom like a 362 Pete Steve. 👍We're gonna need a bigger folk lift. 🤣
