It was sure nice riding along with you. I drove truck OTR for 13 years. Drove for Greyhound for 4 years. Sure enjoyed hearing the sound of a truck. And I agree two of my most favorite trucks were KW and Freightliner. My kW's had Cummings engines but the Freightliners had 60 series Detroit but they all had 13-speed Transmissions. I remember going across Nevada, Utah, New Mexico and even Texas as a low-flying aircraft was running 120 mph. Every now and then you got to stretch your legs. Keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down

It will be a challenge to get it to comply with DOT Regs. (I'm talking about the NHTSA's FMVSSs) .

Been by that coop plenty of times but never pulled in. But that's the thing driving for a large carrier is most of the time it's green light from the PrePass lane scales. Seemed like pretty cool DOT but always see plenty shut down over there. Then drove regional for Walmart up in IA, IL and MO. Those scales were never up over night. Smooth sailing. Pulled 92k rebar in CA with a 10' spread axle and got a few more inspections during that time though. Those damn super coops out there though are something else. But green lit through them vast majority of the time.

I have been with American since 1991 we had them all A300s A330s 757s 767s MD 11s DC 10s 727s all of them... after 25 to 30 years the airframes time out. Good planes all of them just like an old Louisville Ford sometimes they just get to old for daily use.

i run the same sylvania silverstar heatlights. they are notorious for water leaking inside and they are only good for about 400-500 hours before they burn out. if you do alot of night driving they burn out fast.

My husband hauled the Optimus Prime truck from Florida to L.A. a few years ago. He had a ball. He even took pictures of people with the truck. They could not have choose a perfect person to take that famous truck.
