Hi, I'm on the Herostat part and entered generate herostat for x men legends 2 but whenever I enter the roster size it says its run into an error and closes itself?
So I just wanted to make 100% sure because I'm a tad unclear on this. So If I only install the Official Character Pack and the 50 Roster Hack, will I still need to edit the Herostat data or is it for if you do any modding beyond that? Thanks ahead of time and enjoy the rest of your day!

Basically what I’m asking is “Can you put other mods in that folder at the bottom of the 50-55 characters that are already there or no?”
If you mean the mua/xml folder, you can put as many xml file herostat entries in that folder as you want. OHS only cares about the ones that are in the currently selected roster file and within the character limit. Anything that's not used just gets ignored by OHS. I've found the 50 character and OCP mods, and I can get them installed just fine, but I'm having trouble installing individual characters. Thanks for any information!

Even so, I have found how to install Mod Organizer 2 and OHS, the OCP and 50 roster hack work through Mod Organizer fine, but have yet to find anything that tells me how to ACTUALLY implement a custom character. For example, I'm trying to put Red Power Ranger in the place of Pyro. When I look at the guides, it only shows how to install and set up OHS or Mod Organizer, but they just say "you can edit herostat here". But when I edited the herostat for Pyro to remove him from the roster (removing his placement number and deleting his name from the roster file) and put Red Ranger in at spot 37 (Pyro's spot), I have copied Red Ranger's herostat.txt to xml folder and renamed it, added the name to the roster file (typing it exact each time so they match) and have it in the boot load in Mod Organizer, when I go to start the game, Pyro is still there as if I've done nothing. I have done this the old way (manually copying the actors folder and such into the game folders containing the characters) but that way is just so daunting. This way claims to be easier, but.... I have yet to find anything that shows exactly HOW to make this work, only how to install the programs. The OHS guide says "it's explained in Mod Organizer guide" and the Mod Organizer guide says "it's explained in OHS guide", but neither say anything about how to actually put the custom heroes in there. And if we have to do it the old way (copying every single little matching folder of each custom character) to make the programs register the changes, then we might as well just keep doing the old way. I get this is probably a stupid question, and I very well might be missing something crucial, but I also have to point out how incredibly confusing this would be to folks new to modding and custom characters.

When I try to run OHS the file gives an error about not having the right permissions and then deletes itself, just the .exe, from the folder on my desktop. I’ve ran the program as an administrator and still no luck. Thanks to anyone who can help!
I was planning to install a Psylocke mod on my X-Men Legends 2, but when I downloaded OpenHeroSelect from the forum my avast pointed two applications being Win64:PWSX-gen [Trj] and when I tried to run XMLBCUI, in the edit part nothing appears

I have a question. When I tried to go anywhere above the 27 open hero select, the game just crash upon starting. I am just downloaded character pack 2.4. I have not touch the 35 roster hack yet… Please help when you have time. Thank you.

Mod Organizer 2 is only optional. If you're having problems with it, try playing without it. You can always join the forum or our Discord server for help.

Yes. Generally just editing the herostat, so you can choose who you want on your roster.

When I open OHS it does not let me click on anything or paste in the herostat changes

Some boosters come with text docs named Herostat ,,,what do I do with them?
When you have to add the character to the herostat.engb file, you use that herostat text file to do it. See our Mod Installation Guide for details.

no matter which creator's file(s) I download that herostat.txt file is never there. anyone else getting that?

50 is the maximum if you have the 50 Roster Hack. No more than that.

Via XMLBCUI, Open the "team_bonus.engb" file that's in your game's data folder, so you can edit it. 32 teams MAX. 8 members MAX for each team.
