    Got my p2 on valentines day and on that day my boiler burst and damage all downstairs and luckly my laser which was still in the box on the floor, didn't get wet. I now can't wait to set her up once we get settle with all this water damage. I have no clue on how to use a laser but I know I'll get the hang of it soon. Really like your videos! Thanks for your work! Would really like to see the set up with the conveyer and the engraving on tumblers.

      May have to check/calibrate the mirrors. Clean the lenses. Make sure the distance from you laser head to the material is correct. That will definitely cause blurred edges.

    I have a question... when you turn on your machine with the lid closed, does the laser head hit the left gas shock ? when i turn on my orange switch in the back with my lid closed, while the machine is going through its preliminary movements it hits the left gas shock.

    Hi there - can you please let us know what work tables you are using for your P2 in this video? One looks like a Husky workbench and one maybe a tool chest (the dark gray one with drawers at the end). I am researching the best work table for this model with the smallest imprint for my home office. Thank you!

    • @SpicerDesignsLLC
      @SpicerDesignsLLC  2 місяці тому +2

      The dark gray tool chest is from harbor freight. The other one is an adjustable husky table from home depot. The P2 is pretty heavy so i would suggest something beefier than the husky table.

    Great video! I'm in them market for one. Does this software have the feature to automatically straighten your cut file on the material being cut? This allows you to lay the material on the tray without being perfectly square. The software recognizes the edges and adjusts if needed.

    • @SpicerDesignsLLC
      @SpicerDesignsLLC  7 місяців тому +1

      Im not sure on that one but that would be a good test. I think you would manually have to turn your design to fit on the image/ material. I dont think it actually recognizes the edges on the material.

    Id like to see them put a handle on the laser head. Seems to be no great way to grab it and move it to where you want it. I often get my fingers greasy from the belt. Im sure Im not the only one. By the way if you only wear 1 outfit you dont have to worry about reshoots. Besides the camera doesnt transmit smells.

    you almost got me sold on wanting a CO2 laser now. Similar to you, I am revamping my home office trying to get it in to production mode. I am about to get a 10w and 20w doide laser running with 2 3d printers as well. its just getting the time to get my home office and the "Rack" set up with all these machines. It is that fine balance of work & family. 3 nights a week I have swimteam practice or girl scouts, so that leaves very little time but is great for networking. But your walk through is a "common folk" or a down to earth, real person setup. If I purchased this machine, I would watch this video to setup in a heartbeat. Great video!
    Also - I made a piggy bank for my girls for x-mas: Imagine a basswood box, the face with a Minnie mouse head with the castle at the bottom cut out of basswood with a solid black acrylic background then a 1/4" thick read acrylic bow! then for the top of the piggy bank, I engraved their names and month of trip in Disney font, filled with super glue and glittered the shit out of that!! then went back over with more superglue to seal it in. it looks pretty badass! It's in part due to watching you, Adam, Diresta, Wilkersdo, Weasley, and some other rando's giving me inspiration and examples of what can be done.

    Great laser for sure , my wife loves hers and it has quickly paid for itself . Cleaning the mirrors is pretty easy but can be a pain to get the one in the back positioned correctly without touching the lenses just because of the cramped space ( and fat fingers 😂 ) if you cut a lot of wood the fan gets dirty fast and takes a little more effort to clean but still easy . Also doing a lot of wood she has found that the slats tend to get like a burnt sap residue on them that will transfer to the back of your new project so either clean the slats with with dawn power spray or mask the back of the wood to help reduce that transfer if its something you need both sides to stay clean. She has the conveyor and rotary too but hasn't tried either yet . Cant wait to see what cool stuff you do with this one too !

      I recently cleaned my mirrors and lens due to engraving a lot of slate, I start at the back and moved to the lens. Put them back and started engraving again. WHHhhaaaaattt not working, damn and blast. Yes I did say naughty words. Had a 15 minye break checked the mirrors starting at the back. It then clicked into place and then it worked.
