    I have an EVGA 2060 single fan and I have been trying this with 2X90mm fans with no luck because the fan & shroud mount are in the way, tho these plastic fan mounts in the video are amazing they could push the fans away from the heatsink, thanks for sharing this

    That is a very nice execution, even though I'm not a fan of that colour but hiding the wires under that plastic piece is nice. My card doesn't have space like that so my wires are just on the motherboard side, not the cleanest but it's mounted traditionally so not an issue, this is a bit more of a stylish approach. I totally would vert mount it to show off the noctuas but I don't have an AIO sadly.

    Really cool. How much did the noise and temperatures improve? Also, have you considered making the bracket so it fills out the gap between the fan and the heatfins? Could be one or two degrees lower by limiting air escaping out the gap :)

      Hi,
      Thank you for your comment.
      As for the noise, it's so much less with the Noctua "NF-A12x25 PWM"
      For me the temperatures are -4° With fans speed at 100% and -2°-3° with auto speed compared to the original
      And for the gap between the fans and the Heat sink you can contact the seller and ask him. (link in the Description).

    Only 4 C less because you mount the card with the back Hot plate towards MBO, sit the card in the PCIe normally, add 2x 92mm fans(pulling) on the backplate of the GPU sitting on the rubber antivibration pads and you'll have 10-15 C less in temps. 3000 series got very hot backplates, don't ignore it. Even my 1080 Ti benefits greatly for 1x 92 mm fan rested on the backplate blowing towards top of the case 6 C less + deshrouding 3x 92mm less 11 C - a total of 17 C less. Hope it helps

    • @dreyga2
      @dreyga2 6 місяців тому

      take that backplate and throw it in the trash where it belongs. There are other ways to keep your card straight that don't heat up your card.

    Bro can you use it with reversing the direction of fans ? 😊 Thanks I think you have already used the unconventional way that I want to see. A regular one is pushing the outside air inside which is wrong , but I don't know why GPU companies do that .
    As air should be pulled outside the gpu the hot air should not pushed to the GPU circuit which can cause damage . So it's really good that you have used unconventional way by pulling the air out , please correct me if I am wrong.

    • @advenchura
      @advenchura 11 місяців тому +2

    • @dharma.vibrates
      @dharma.vibrates 11 місяців тому

      @@advenchura cold air will increase the moisture or humidity which can create rust or short circuit, while hot air can increase the dielectric charge over the pcb that can damage the smds or electric components because of ESD discharge.

    • @Unc0mpress3D

      Hi,
      Its useless, Because if you put the graphics card in Horizontal the hot air rises to the top (Almost everyone puts the graphics card horizontally) So if you put the fans of the graphics card upside down you risk blocking the hot air between the bottom of your case and the graphics card, and if you have fans at the bottom to bring cold air to the graphics card and the graphics card pushes the air down your graphics card gets hot. so it doesn't make sense.
      And if you put the graphics card vertically (like in the video) with the graphics card fans upside down you must have a case with fans in front to extract the hot air from the graphics card to the outside of your case (This is very rare and without tempered glass and it will be very ugly..) or otherwise get an open case like for example "XTIA Xproto" maybe ?
      And don't worry, it's the cold air that enters in your graphics card if you put the fans in the right direction like in the video.😉
      Thank you for your comment. (It was interesting)💜

    How does MSI Afterburner or EVGA Precision X1 present the fans, two or three with the mod if the two fans are independently connected? Also, why does the second fan report 100% but 0 RPM? I do see you are using just one header with a splitter. Why not on separate headers?
    I am asking, because I do not know if the three fan headers have their own max output or the sum of the three. Thanks.

    Hello. I have 2x Artic 120 mm standard 1500 rpm PWM fans connected to my graphics card Msi AMD Radeon Rx 480. And exactly the way the original fans were connected, i.e. 4 pins and 3 pins. Only one of the two fans gives the RPM level signal. Both have same colors and I thnink wire colors is standard for these 4 colors. But now the automatic fan control no longer works. By default the fans run at 100% all the time even though they are silent fans and should not run without load. In Afterburner I can switch from automatic to manual and control it between 25% and 100% and manual control works! And the measurement diagram also shows me 900 - 1500 RPM. It looks like the card can carry the load of the bigger fans running them at 100%, no problem. But somehow the automatic mode fan control no longer works and I can't understand why ?
    I see 2 options:
    1) During the driver installation you will notice that the fans are being tested. It could possibly be that the installation detects an error because the fans do not spin up to 2000 or 3000 rpm like the original fans. And the installation then sets the automatic mode to permanent 100% fan speed.
    2) You have to crack the firmware of the card and readjust the fan control of the firmware?
    I guess it can only be the first though. That means there's nothing you can do except use fans with the same RPM. That no error and bad setting occurs ?
    It's not a problem in itself. Since you can start Msi with Startup with 25% fan. And the fans aren't loud at 900 RPM. And before you start a game, set the fans to 100% with Afterburner. and after playing again to 25% manually. However, an automatic is better.
