- Paul Brown pilots the T33 around the famous Laguna Seca circuit in August of 2010. The car finished the race, but still had engine troubles. Paul still put on a great show and the owner was pleased.
We have been fighting a fuel issue that seemed to come up consistently after about 8 minutes of running and with just a couple laps left we wanted to finish a race. We spent the weekend making changes and also ran the car in the group 8A race later in the day with the problem fixed. That was another good race that we will try to get up soon. The car is like a giant shifter cart and a blast to drive.
PB.
My dad loved driving this car for Otto Zipper..Tho he got lapped several times at Laguna by the 917-Turbos..he finished 5th at riverside with his helmet taped to the roll bar after a serious crash 5 mth earlier in Canada..no Shit..

Fantastic!!! 10 minutes of pure joy!
It looks like he's enjoying himself.
Great driving, nice lines and throttle control, the occasional missed shift and apex showed you were really trying... unlike some of the others. Like the way the GTAm gave way to the bigger brother!
Quiero mas quiero mas quiero maaaasss !!!
Holy Moly! Awesome!
it's about time an alfa showed it's heel's to all the other's on then track.
madonna mia come guidi! you're an amazing driver!
By the sound alone, I would say that this engine has a flat plane crankshaft, the Montreal has a cross-plane crank. The firing order would therefore be different. Lancia did a similar thing to the Ferrari 308 engine when it was installed it in the Thema 8.32. Power (at the expense of harshness) in the 33 and 308, smoothness in Montreal and 8.32. Anyone?............
I just looked exactly for this type of information in comments. :) Flat crankshaft sound for 100%. PS. :o about Thema's crankshaft! I thought it is flat as in the Ferrari. Soo, now I know Thema could sound really seriously. :)
We've been trying to at least finish this race for three years. We knew that the motor wasn't going to blow up (well, probably not) and the owner really wanted to see the car take the checkered flag.
I Thin Was a 1967 t33 competizione 2000 cc 8 cilinder with only 230hp but rapporto compressione 10/1
dude..this is alfa romeo
Its soo strange that the
Alfa Montreal has the same engine as the 33, destroked,
but the version in the montreal dosnt sound anything like the race engine in the 33
not even vagely with mufflers or even street cam's.
It's not clear which variant of the T33 this was, but the 33/2's 2L got peak hp at 9000 rpm, and the 33/3's 3L as well around 9000-9800 rpm (the later TT and SC 12's got peak power at 11k rpms!). It's true that the Montreal had the same V8 engine but peak power came at 6500 rpm, not quite like even the road-going tipo 33 Stradale's 2L that got 230 hp at 8800 rpm and redlined at 10,000 rpm!!
***** both are v8.but two completely different engines.
@laziosociaria The montreal had a crossplane crank and the T33 was flat plane right?
@@shelbyz1988 Yes, correct, the Montreal has a crossplane modified crank
viva alfa ....
right after the T70 went off it all seemed to go wrong. what happened?
unfortunately, sounds like the engine went pear shaped
why did he keep going while clearly the engine had enough ?
my favorite combo in Assetto corsa, in game ca feels a tad underowered though compared to this beast.
sorry for my English
