I want to know what the artists were trying to do with Samus' bangs. It's like they couldn't decide on which direction to draw them so they made it a weird circle instead
Very nice! Really enjoyed the routing on this one, especially in Chozodia, but it was all pretty satisfying. The end of the Mecha Ridley fight was funny too. "Stay down" vibe. Impressed at seeing new stuff in Zero Mission after all this time!
This is probably the first TAS of Zero Misiion I’ve seen that goes for the Long Beam immediately instead of taking the shortcut to the rest of the map AND collects the Charge Beam instead of skipping it
UA-cam randomly recommending me Hundo Hard. I am not disappointed at all, Jako. Gonna need that sub hour hundo normal TAS at some point with early PBs.
26:49 This is what I don’t like about Zero Mission. Yes, sometimes secret paths are easy to spot, but other times, it’s stuff like this that makes me feel dumb. A video game should not make you feel that way. Fusion on the other hand is much better at secret things. You can clearly tell that something is off, if a room is oddly empty, try using a Power Bomb, and there! You’ve opened up a whole secret passage.
Yeah they could have hinted that better. PBs would reveal the secret there but you've got no reason to think one is there Fusion's underwater section is infamous for the proper path forward not being revealed with PBs
That's pretty much the point, it's exploration based, you're supposed to piece together your route via the upgrades you get and roadblocks you'd previously encountered
You, an Intellectual: "This is a TAS, or a Tool-Assisted Speedrun-"
Me, also an Intellectual: "You mean a LAS, Lore-Accurate Samus."

It’s uhhh sci fi you wouldn’t get it yeah
DOOOOOOOD theres a timer, ok S rank TAS here
back by popular demand ☺
This should be made into a something about video. This is so well done i had to subscribe. Thanks 🙏
I love the rapid T-bag moments. 🤣
5:38, 10:01, 1:04:33
Samus’s legs must be amazing to do that.
I always liked the little tiny drawing at the end left behind by little Samus.😊

I've been playing this game since 2004, have 100% multiple times, and this guy still took routes I've never seen before

Yeah, it was made to be a showcase of the fastest known human route, late long and late charge would most likely be faster for an optimized TAS
Wow, you are very skilled, I can't imagine how much you have practiced.

at 29:29, the wall in front of the higher morph ball launcher is made of screw attack blocks, could use those to save a few seconds in future runs :D
yeah 💀 I knew that was there, but realized too late. Too in the zone. I'll have to update this sometime with no long beam...
Can you carry a shinespark with space jump?????
what did you do to get the graphics so vivid compared to vanilla
color palette setting in bizhawk GBA core
You did to both Kraid and Ridley, what Ridley did to my ears.

Clearly you did not check every single block on every single room on your first playthrough.
Man, don't remind me. I got stuck there for a while on first playthrough.. @@Jakoliath
Damn getting super missles that’s early should be illegal
Love the space pirate jumping in front of the escape pod at the end. Bro was like "you got nowhere to run now"
There is too much crap on the screen. It's distracting. The timer and the disclaimer
This game look so good but hard to navigate around and doesnt really tell you where to go next so can easily get lost
That's pretty much the point, it's exploration based, you're supposed to piece together your route via the upgrades you get and roadblocks you'd previously encountered
This game is super easy imo, first time I ever played it, I finished in the same day
You do know that the chozo statues tell you where to go next right?
Skill issue
Hilariously enough, ZM is probably the most hand-holdiest of the 2D Metroid games other than Fusion
why at 5:38 dont adquire the second tank ???
There's only 1 in that room. To the left there is Varia Suit, which is not needed because we get it automatically at the end of the suitless section
