Immortals Fenyx Rising is the latest Ubisoft open world game and is coming to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Stadia. The Switch version was by far the most interesting to me because of the open world aspect, so how did this new Switch game end up? Let's talk.

So yeah, Ubisoft's last game of 2020 is probably their best of the year, and the Switch version is great! And you can't say I am just shilling for it because, I mean every website gave it great scores too. lol. Enjoy the vid!

You knew somebody would say it so I figured I had to.
That's a tough one to answer. Realistically there prob will be a new iteration of the switch this year the so called "Switch Pro". No one really knows what this "Switch Pro" is going to be or how much more performance it will put out. If you are happy to wait until 2021 then maybe it's the smarter call however Nintendo are not going to abandon the OG Switch any time soon they want to extend its life span not shorten it. Its really up to you I have an OG Switch I've had it a few years now. The "Switch Pro" will really have to justify itself for me to upgrade. I love my Switch and my PS4 has basically become a Fifa machine at this point. So no judgment from me if you decide to get a Switch now I can totally understand just be aware that something might happen this year in relation to Switch hardware revision.

I thought this game looked interesting from the start while everyone was whining about it being a BOTW clone which despite obvious similarities its not. BOTW was a top tier environment with top tier physics, but with limited reasons to explore after a certain amount of playtime. I welcome other companies to alter that formula into something great.

@@redcrimson1028 because when you try to mimic something that was already great, it's hard not to fall short. But people dont need another masterpiece, not every game has to be as awesome and influential as BOTW. I am seeing that other games mimicking BOTW are addressing the things about BOTW that I see as flaws but in the process missing the mark in some other areas that matter
@@GalanOfTruth come up with something new and unique. Zelda has been killing it for decades. I wouldn't compare Ubisoft game to a Nintendo first party game. Also there is always polishing issues with Ubisoft games but i will give it to them.. The game looks fun and im glad they took a risk.
I've been on the fence about this one, purely because I felt this could of turned into a vaseline blur in handheld, and no e of the reviews I've read addressed the handheld play. So thanks Sean for the review.
Thank you for this video man! I needed to know this info! Other reviewers of this game are really giving it some praise and i am a big fan of the Greek mythology (especially since I have been sucked into 70 hours of Hades). I was really undecided on which platform to go with and was afraid of what the switch version would be like. I play the heck out of the switch since its way more convenient when you have two kids, one being a baby. I will get this on the switch for sure now!

I been playing this game since Christmas and it’s AWSOME! I’m addicted to playing it an would totally suggest you get this game! The story is something new an a lot of Greek god lore an the fighting is really good!

Because of the DLC packs that can be pre-ordered and them not coming out for months it's gonna be a while before this game gets any price drop. Fine if you can wait 6 months or more.

@@marcbain6000 Me too. It's absolutely worth it at $30. It's such a clear rip-off of BOTW, but I don't care for some reason. Too damn fun and looks pretty gorgeous on Switch, in my opinion. I don't have a PS4 or 5 to compare it to. My previous console was a PS3. I think of it as a a Greek expansion pack to BOTW.

There's actually a few notable open world games on Switch already like Witcher 3,Assassins Creed Rebel Collection and of course BOTW

Fenyx Rising is criminally underrated
Really enjoyed this one and was a nice hiatus between the two Zelda’s. Probably preferred this until totk finally dropped and there’s def things this does right that Zelda never does. I particularly enjoyed the combat in this one.
Can't wait to play this. But puzzled. Should I get it for switch or PS4. what do you recommend.. is there a drastic difference between them???

Immortals Fenyx Rising is the game I was most looking forward this year. Nintendo hasn't put out anything new I care about. the Mario 35 was a disappointment was hoping they gave 64
an update played all 3, great games but I have no reason to go there again. Hope they do more with Zelda.

I got this game for the ps4 because I didn't think my switch will be able to handle the graphics and frame rates.

I’ve been playing this game on the switch for about a week now, and I must say it has been a very enjoyable experience so far.
The idea of games not taking themselves too seriously is refreshing in an era of pretentious interactive movies (I’m looking at you, Last of Us).

I hate ubisoft (at least when they not make Rayman or Mario and Rabbids) but this looks pretty interesting. I am Greek and I love games that play with our mythology.

Switch is killing it. Immortals Fenyx Rising, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a damn strong holiday line up. Oh....my wallet...

Serious Sam Collection runs phenomenal and looks phenomenal on Switch. And don't forget about Sniper Elite 4; I heard great things about that game.

I can see the things you found enjoyable in the footage. I think it's cool to have a big open world game on the not so serious side. Saints row does that well (much more adult themed), and there really aren't many other franchises with this tone. Thanks for the impressions

@@당신은더미입니다 . Combat is less like God of War and more like Darksiders. Too many people mention God Of War too often when games like Devil May Cry actually came before it. God of War in many ways is actually slower paced combat when compared to Darksiders and Bayonetta.
Recently bought this and was also surprised how much time I sunk into it.. Its actually fun and "Funny"! Dare I say, I enjoy it a little better than BOTW.. I dont know why, but even the puzzles are fun!

Already got it. I didnt like the pastellic look of BOTW. Fenyx ist looks sharp and really good in handheld mode. No flickering edges and I had no noticable FPS drops so far. Distance view could be better but thats all. Go for it!
I thought ill get this on ps4(yes i still waiting for my ps5) or pc. But i guess ill get the switch version instead

Im playing this handheld and im loving it, I tried to see a diference between instalation on storage or sd card but didnt notice anything. The map is huge and the switch is doing very well

I'm so stoked for this game its going to be so awesome. Alot of people will miss out on this game. Its going to be on of those games that fall in the category of Alan wake. Where most people will sleep on it.

I think BotW Fans are gonna feel right at home Playing Immortals: Fenyx Rising, with the Art Style, Combat Elements, Map and the layout of the Land plus Traversal n Puzzles aswell.
Likewise AC Fans will enjoy the Combat, the Upgrades, the Climbing and the Story.
I am gonna check out the Switch version anyway but with the Save Sharing, it could be a Double Dip game.
I was looking at this game before. Now I'm definitely getting because good and all the channels i follow on UA-cam have given it a positive review
I like open world games, but can't get into Assassin's Creed because of the overly serious yet somewhat dumb stories. Assassin's Creed gameplay, with a goofy story? Sign me up.
The last Assassin's Creed I really ever played and cared about was Revelations(the last of the Ezio Trilogy). Assassin's Creed 3 was meh and the rest is just a snoozefest.

I love this game man its so good and it feels like it was made for the switch ive been having a blast playing through it on my oled in handheld mode. Not to mention the fact the saves are crossplay is just the coolest and a feature I hope is implemented in more games.
Looks and sounds fun, and I'm seeing generally favorable reviews from my trusted 'Tubers. I may just have to buy this.

Really seems like a fun game I'd probably really enjoy! Great review. It's just really fascinating how influential Nintendo is. This has some really similar gameplay loops to BOTW obviously.

I knew I was going to enjoy it but I didn’t expect it to get addicted to the game. It has a lot of inspiration from other games, which is a great thing. Definitely going to play it on Hard mode next after beating it on Normal & then a 3rd time on the highest difficulty.😁

I absolutely love this game as an elderly person though some of those puzzles are scuse my French damn hard jumping is my worst then the arrows are my second and when it comes to the puzzle it takes me forever so I will probably have the longest running game in the world all it all it is a awesome game you got to try this game I play it on the Nintendo switch go out to get a copy of this game you will love it

I picked up this game for the PS5 and I have not been disappointed. I love the way the story is told and the art design

It seems like a significant jump in visual quality going from handheld to docked mode. But I'm enjoying it very much either way

What’s keeping me from getting this game is the $45 of DLC content already planned for release. One of the DLC packs is an entire game mode kept from the game to charge an extra $15, it’s ridiculous.
I’m not touching this at launch. It abound to come out later as a complete product for a fraction of the price.

I bought the game on a whim without knowing much about it and I gotta say I love it. So far I think my favorite part is the banter an how Feynx and Hermes play off one another. I really enjoy how he was portraied.

I like this game more than breath of the wild. This is the only game that actually had me playing playing my switch alot more.
i konw, the fighting system is better, but be honest, the exploration is not as good as zelda, like a lot
