Guess the weight of the gold nuggets here before the end of the video! A huge shout out to my friend @digdougdig for the camera work and endless knowledge. Subscribe to him in the description!
Right on Matt, glad to see you and Doug out and sharing your experience with us 😅
Heck yeah Matt, you're killin it with the detector these days! Lookin forward to seeing ya at the nugget hunt
Detecting is easily my favorite way to prospect! Except when it's blistering hot
Sweet. I got foiled last weekend. Too much snow to make it where we had permission. Enjoy your tips. New to prospecting.
Hello family,
I have been filming the live video shots for Matt, please leave me constructive comments, and I will try to get YOU the best videos possible.
Thanks, Dig Doug Dig
Camera work is great Doug!!!
Nice pieces Matt ! We call that placering .
While I love the fit & feel of the MS3 headphones, I dont care for the tone that comes out of them. Seems dull and not high pitched.
My biggest gripe about the MS3 headphones is how easily and often they lose connection. The wireless sure is convenient though!
Excellent work dude! That section is paying off big time! Keep at it never know what the heck is in that area 🇺🇸👏🏻
It's been great!
Spot on. Keep up the great work 👍🏾
Nice finds😊
Nice finds !!!!!!! very Nice !!!!!!
Thanks Jeff! When are we gonna meet up?!
@@MountaineerMatt I have two more weeks of baseball so sometime after that !!!!
Hello Family.
The nugget found by the Nox in the video is 0.05 grams, plus another half gram of small nuggets not on video.
Good gold hunting skills
Now I know why the old timers used to wash away the entire mountain.... thanks I learned a few things.. 😊
be out this weekend. try my nox 900. in gold mode again. its dry enough to dry wash. 👍👍. soon to hot to look for gold. have a good day.
You plan to upgrade to the 16” coil? Good stuff, thanks for sharing your experience/knowledge.
I have the 16" mono and DD coils. Haven't found gold with it yet but it's only a matter of time and usually only use it in places that have been cleaned of any trash
Let's see a pan out of that pocket as well. I'm curious if the spec count is high looks like it could be
I'm sure that it would be! Hopefully one day
if you lower the recovery speed on gold mode 1 & 2. the 6" coil will go quite deep.
@MountainMatt , why was Doug running the Equinox 800? Doesn't he have the SDC-2200? I thought about picking up the Equinox 900, it's on sale right now, but was told I should only get at least an SDC-2300 for serious prospecting. Any thoughts on that Matt?
I'm sure Doug will leave a comment too, but he's using the nox 800 because there is a significant amount of small gold in this area that is too small for a pulse induction detector to find, like the 2200, 2300 and Axiom. The 800 happens to perform well in the ground in this area. There are places a VLF detector just can't handle and that's where the PI machines really shine. My advice is always to start with a VLF metal detector and graduate up to the PI machines. Good luck!
Hello, I have a 2200, 2300 and a Nox 800.
My 2300 was out for Minelab service last fall, and I decided to go test out the gold mode on the Nox, OMG, OMG, didn't realize how much gold was left behind, the club hunted this pit for a decade. The gold is mostly tiny little no see em size, 1/3 grain.
But consistently average about a gram a day. Haven't seen a skunk in months. 😁
The 2300 is my water/river detector. Love my 2300. Can't wait to get back in the rivers.
May I ask what type of trees are those surrounding you here???
Manzanita
to bad there is not gold in Utah
When you don't need your detector, you can shut it off and save your battery for longer searches
The Axiom has an incredibly long battery life. I've used mine for 8 hours and had it drop 1 bar. 16 hours battery life, maybe more.
