About 18:14 in, a person is taking some material out and checking if what's still in the shovel is ringing in the detector, then tossing out the material in hand. If looking for a single target, no problem. But if you have several small bits of gold, seems like he might throw some away with that method. I'm no expert, but first time I went detecting, I was told to not assume only 1 target was in a given spot. I'd think the same would apply here.
In my humble opinion you should frame up the entrance with an open steel grate door that can be locked up to avoid the use of the mine by cougars or bears.
Were you able to file a fresh claim for the location ? If not mum’s the word. Thanks for taking us along as us old folks are not up to hikes at high elevation anymore.
As you can see we had a great time exploring up there! I gives me satisfaction that you enjoyed the tag a long, thanks for your support Ed🙌 This mine is under claim!
Nice work guys, of all the videos I have seen on old mine exploring this is the first one I have seen that has taken a detector along, which would have been my first choice next to the digging tools. Great video but would like to see what you found in the samples that you have taken.
Thanks Dan! Yea, those highbeams on one of the headlamps is craazy bright! It really washes out the closeups on video but in real life is crisp n clear as day.
I'm about to go crazy to go gold mining but I live in east Tennessee does anyone know where to look around East Tennessee for gold or any precious metals
Hey Paul. Coker Creek and the Tellico River are the best known areas for gold prospecting. I would start research that area. The placer gold had to come from the surrounding hills and upstream.
Colorado Gold Camp Really enjoyed the video. I live right on the Border of VA/KY/TENNESSEE And there are lots of treasures hidden away for those brave enough to search for it. You’ve Gained a Subscriber here Nice Video.. And GOOD LUCK to You All 🍀, Roy
I have been a dowser specialized in precious metals for 30 years. I can provide treasure and ore vein locations including quantity and depth anywhere in the world.
I want to know what you found in that rock! I’m subscribed so I hope to get a notification soon. If it isn’t already crushed can a request a close up using that cool digital microscope thing you have? I’m super curious. Are you going to keep mining there?
The screamer rock is pretty amazing! I have pinpointed the location of the metal and will do my best to remove it as a specimen piece. We are in fact going mine portions of this vein that are free milling.
That is a very cool horseshoe! You can tell it was used hard because the front edge is virtually flat. My buddy shoes horses so I I know how they wear out. That shoe has seen many a mile on hard terrain. Cool video guys! It's the first one of yours that I watched I liked it. I'm a jeweler and a lapidary and a rockhound among other things! Looking forward to finding out what the screamer is! Take care! Be safe! And I hope you find a lot of candy!! Hippie Steve from California!
Just because those old mines shuttered over 100 years ago, you can still find gold, silver or any other precious metals still down there over 100 years later.
Dude where is the GOLD? HAHAHA great job keep up my friend. Watching your videos makes me think about to take a road trip to gold country. Just for fun 👍👍👍
I`d like to see a Minelab Vanquish 340 with the small coil ran over those same targets. Those detectors are an insane bargain and can hit extremely small targets.

Can you imagine the days and weeks it took for that miner to tunnel that far into the Earth. I hope he was rewarded for all his efforts.
Hello friend, do you know the brand and model of the detector here?
@@uslanmazsahin4247hey, i don’t know if you ever figured it out but there is an amazon link to the metal detector in the description of the video.

I want to ask , when you are cupelling and the lead is not fully dicioated yet..is that lead harder than usual.

@@ColoradoGoldCamp would have been nice to see some results from this one
Hello friend, do you know the brand and model of the detector here?
What type of metal detector are u using I'm looking into buying one for hard bedrock
The stack fall of rocks is called gabion.
The wire handle on a pail or bucket is called the "bail". As in " bailing out a boat".
Now that is a fun fact!
Great. Looks like fun
It really is TT! The thrill of the chase is what it is all about!
Are you going to show a clean up in the next video? looking forward to the next video
We chisel out and run 600lbs of straight vein, results coming soon!
those spotlights are a tad too bright, i imagine it didn't look that way naked eye, good luck with the mine.

Can you imagine mine and back in the early 1900s with the carbide light on your head
and carrying all of your food on your back or having to hunt for it
Sir whats 5he brand of the detector and the model pls
Get you a tarp to put down then you can be more agressive and not lose any
That's exactly what we do for our next round! Works like a charm!

What metal detector do you use?
Thanks! Have a blessed night!
For this kind of lode prospecting, I am using a Fisher Gold Bug 2. I also use a Minelab GPX 6000
thank you

Wow Amazing
Love the video very interesting
Thans for the support Jayne!

keep on getting it done dam. nice work all around fam. GOLD SQUAD OUT!!!
What’s the coil he would have put on the goldbug for in the mine?
It is the 6.5" small coil for the GB2. It is more sensitive to tiny gold.
@@ColoradoGoldCamp Thx! I don’t have one, never done it yet but when I do I want something higher end for gold

This one is a Fisher Gold Bug 2. $800ish new
To be continued....🍻
I miss your videos!!
What gold did you find
Would have been nice to record the crushing of the rock. How much did you clean up from that rock O' Gold?
The ore is running about 1 ounce per ton with some richer and poorer pockets.
Great video

It sure can be ;)

"Dang, boy! What ther hell was in that thar rock? Twas it GOLD, DAMN GOLD?"😉
Such a long way from the start Dino amazing 😍
Wood rats can build a pretty good sized nest, and you'll find nests like that all over the place in mines like that.
Found this channel this morning.. Great video keep it coming....
Where are you in Colorado?
Fun video ! Great area to play ▶️ around
You need to be using a 4ft by 8ft tarp doubled over on floor to catch all that fine gold!!!
Youre killing it with ads bro
No followup video for this one? Wanna see you crush them up!! :)
The ground is starting to thaw. Will be firing up the crusher soon!
What was the outcome?
Going postal on that rock 🤣
in 1993 I was shining my light in to an old mine in Colorado and a mountain lion growled at me. Scared the daylights out of me.
Dude where is the GOLD? HAHAHA great job keep up my friend. Watching your videos makes me think about to take a road trip to gold country. Just for fun 👍👍👍
I’d clear out some of the rocks by the cougar bed so u Know if it’s there or not.
Good call Cindy. It really is a bit nerve wracking going back in there. The only way in or out is through the portal.
@@ColoradoGoldCamp I’d bang on the walls w the tools before going in the cave. So u make lots of noise.

Good.....👍👍👍👍👍👍😱
Take all blocks and crush them bro they have milling samples
Yer gunna have you some beans for days! Might even get you some them French fried taters!
Oooh yea! Beeeaaaans!! Hehehee, still cracking me up😂
Be sure to cover your portal with a tarp to keep the air slack out of the tunnel.
why?
@@项籍-v9t It's called "air slack" and causes a newly opened portal to cave easily as the moisture in the soil leaves with air exposure.

Battery powered hammer drill could prove invaluable
I think you guys better block off the entrance to the mine to keep the critters out and having a side arm with you would be sensible too.
Good idea. I think, I will bring up some chainlink next time up. That should at least keep the big predators out.
Hello friend, do you know the brand and model of the detector here?
