Spike Lee is one of the few directors that can have a second, third, fourth wave. 4 decades of Many hits and even more misses. But I can say without a doubt that Da 5 Bloods is another HIT from Spike. A real masterpiece. Crazy to think someone so old made this, but maybe only someone with all these years of wisdom could do it.

I have loved Spike since I saw 'Do the Right Thing' in 89. He is hitting a new renaissance and I couldn't be happier as he has been one of my favorite directors since "DO.." Congrats on another important piece of cinema Spike!
Character development was the key.

I have a theory, but it might be the weed talking.
Did y’all realize in Da 5 Bloods, they had the names of The Temptations?
Otis is the only one that survives at the end and Otis from the Temptations is the only member alive today
And the son is David named after David Ruffin but he wasn’t an original member
But he was the main reason of the success of them finding the gold
And Ruffin was the main reason of the success of the Temps

You wouldn't find gold with a metal detector! Pure gold bars have no alloy therefore no metal, therefore it's not picked up by metal detectors!
