Captain Tolley's creeping crack cure 👌

I tried that first. It's my go-to usually, but the gaps were too big. Added the captain after the sealant for good measure 👌

That what I used on mine athlough the cracks were not as big as these. It was only leaking on the passenger side but I did both just to be safe plus I was off work at hte time during lockdown so had plenty of time on my hands. A good few years later now and all is still good. 👍

Hey bud I've got the driver footwell leak as well but trying to get the roof rail off is proving very difficult. It pops off easy along the roof but as soon as I get to the first clip part on the windscreen it just won't come off, pulling it up to reveal the clip underneath (white fitting with what looks like blue push in clips) and putting a flathead screwdriver on the 2 spaces to try and pop it out is just not working, so I've ended up putting a slight bend in the roof rail trying to get the first one out.
Any ideas on how to get that off so I can seal around the window driver side? or might come down to just ripping it off and getting a new roof rail from somewhere?
Edit - I'm also not too sure on how to strip off the driver footwell carpet to get under it to dry it all out so any pointers on that aswell would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Steve

I think they're different coloured clips, blue, yellow, red etc. You need to put a small, wide flat screw driver or spatula in the 2 rectangle holes on the retaining clip that is fixed to the car. I found a PDF on one of the forums about the FN2 roof rack, which details how to remove them. Might be worth a google for that PDF. Basically it's a pain in the neck.
I think the drivers carpet removal needs the acc pedal taking out first, I just lifted it up as much as possible and stripped the padding out, dried it then put it back.
Good luck with it Steve 👍

@@GeesDrive Thanks bud, will unclip the carpet to dry it out as much as I can and if the leak continues I'll maybe get a garage to take the rail off at the windscreen so I can seal all the way down it without destroying every clip there lol.

I did another video fixing all the other leaks on mine (I had it in the boot too). Link is in the description to that video. It was basically the seam welds on the roof.

    Fancy fixing mine? (For payment)
I am based in Gloucester. I have a wet boot and a lot of condensation and damp in the cabin. Not sure where the front of the car is leaking. Might not be leaking at the front
Aside from that i have problems with mine not starting
And also think the fuel tank is now leaking too. 😂
Everyone told me Hondas were reliable lol 😂
To be fair it is a 2007 so 16 years old now. Have been offered £600 for the car from an online site. Tempted to take it.

I think the fn2 was the last uk built type R?
Still £ for n/a HP it’s the best bargain type r - the EP3’s are literally rusting to pieces :(
