Got the same car and bolt ons. Saw you a couple of weeks back. Was fueling up and honked at you. I’m going for essentially the same build just different injectors and tuner but awesome to see your build coming along.

a very effective additon to the fuel system is a modified high pressure fuel line. Our v3 line is good for 7-8% more fuel over the oem non modded unit and about 5% over the Hondata high pressure fuel line. Nice Video!

Nice clean build. I have the same color, 21 BB but I'm happy with the stock power atm, although i have the prl intake but thats it lol.. maybe in the future will get a Hondata and go with conservative tune.

You ever tried a jpipe? I know it cancels out drone, but i hear it makes more air floor so just i little bit more power for turbo

For the anti surge housing, will that be replacing the compressor housing on the turbo (requiring me to take apart the turbo itself)?
Is there any info on the rv6 inlet pipe? Will it fit with prl's race maf housing?
The email I got from rv6 when asking them about it said “ we are looking at June-July for our compressor cover and inlet “ so It sounds like its something that can be put on . Im not really sure I guess we will see !
I'm full full bolt on already. Trying to get to 420-430 without Ethanol. HPFP, LPFP and injectors next. No idea where that will get me but I'm thinking somehere around 415. May only be possible with an MHI stage 2 or 27Won Kuro but hoping the fuel system alone will net me a noticeable difference
Fuel system won’t get you anywhere without higher octane fuel !
have you played around with the G series garret turbos at all? ive been looking at the g25/30-660 turbos
Had a g series on my focus st back in the day . Very good turbo . Kits for these cars are expensive and utilize a bov . My tuner will not tune a car with a bov as it’s not correct .

Why did you choose the 1400 cc injectors was it the Upgraded rv6 turbo or was it to gain a big jump in number in power?
You need the injectors to flow the fuel. The stock injectors won’t flow enough with the ethonal mix
Does ur rv6 turbo make a whistling noise at partial throttle?? Not a turbo whistle but an actual whistling sound? Mine does. Im trying to find out if its normal
Yes - it's because it doesn't have an anti surge housing so when your part throttle building boost and let of it howls - like a woooooo

When do you think the clutch should be changed? My Type R has 17,000 catless Down Pipe intake upgraded intercooler. I kind of felt like my clutch was slipping. Are you having issues with your clutch?
Stock clutch is very stout. Many guys running it into the 500hp range for years. I’d be very suprised if your clutch was slipping already .
I don’t have corn fuel where i live , which means flex fuel is out of the question . So what power should i make if all things being equal to what you have?
Without corn your looking at 4-440 whp on 93 octane
Can you comment about coilovers and why you didn’t decide to add adaptive coils on with all that power?
The stock suspension is sufficient for me right now! I haven't had any issues. At some point I'm going to do coil overs with front air cups(bad driveway situation lol)

I also live in Mass. With all those mods how are you passing state inspection? I failed with hondata and jail broken ecu. I had to flash back to stock and put my stock ecu in then I was able to pass. Thanks in advance.
If you shut monitors off in the hondata you will fail

These cars have some of the best oem brakes at any price point . Little pad upgrade makes them even better
8:35 the xdi injectors are actually rated at 1350. Not 1400. Correct me if im wrong

If you leave the hondata traction control on it does very well. You will have to run at least a 200 tw tire to even think about hooking . Sometimes depending on how warm the tires are you will have to pedal it in second . To answer your question it’s 100 percent useable and will hook when set up properly.
Mishimoto fmic is the largest off the shelf to support power its 800hp rated (crank)
The PRL fmic is 600hp (crank) but heat soaks of your making 500+ whp
I made 547whp on stock exhaust with 5" downpipe from Puerto Rico amd PRL front pipe
Flex fuel is a must or run meth if ethanol isnt available.
Is the Mishimoto the best IC for the FK8?
They also come with the charge pipes. Are those also good, or better to swap with a different charge pipe?

@JustHavingFun you can make it but after the first wot hit it will heat soak - the mishi is much bigger and does better at keeping power consistent on the dyno and on the highway

I want to tune my type r but is it really worth $2,000 to get the hondata flash pro and tune for 50-70whp? Do you feel the difference? Want to know if it’s worth the money before I do it
Really depends. You definitely feel it . I’d say if you have the money I’d do it . It’s not necessary but it’s fun.
@@thebackroadgarage I’m just not satisfied with the stock power it has that’s why I was asking if a tune would be worth the money. Idk what 50-70whp will do so not sure if that would even do anything. I added a PRL intake and HKS intercooler and I was thinking maybe I need a Downpipe before I get the tune. I want that nice seat back pull feeling when you floor it lol but so far with the intake and intercooler it’s still not to my liking. I’ll be even more upset if I use another $2,000 for the tune and I’m like “is this as fast as it can go?”

I'm currently all stock with Hondata Tune just running basmaps and there is a very very noticeable difference from before and after the tune. HONDATA is a must, much more fun to drive and occasional street race. If you're bored of stock power this is the way to go, FBO without tune won't do much for you.
My 2018 engine blew at 384 whp fbo. Traded that shit for a 22 Genesis g70 3.3tt
Now thinking to trading that in and getting new M2 😁 that shit puts down like 470whp Stock
I like the new integra type s but I don’t see myself spending close to 60k for a carbon package integra lol. Rather spend a little more and get the bimmer

Are you using Honda synthetic oil or another a different brand?
Rv6 states that there turbo has to run 5w-30 I’ve been running redline oil

What about internals I don’t want insane horse power I’m looking to get 400 but I want my engine to still be reliable and not having it break down all the time. And something close to the stock tune. Meaning power all
Around. Like 500 it’s just too much to ask from a 2.0 engine plus how can you even put that power down on a fwd configuration. I upgrade my tires to ps4 and still tire soon if I accelerate too aggressive. When summer hits probably ima upgrade to cups 2. And we talking stock power now at 500 hp I think the car it’s gonna behave too unpredictable. And you don’t want that on a track car. Those figures are for drag racing that only go straight.

I’m going to make a video about drivability . As for reliability at that number we will see! Good parts and good tune go a long way . One of those things where doing something like this you have to pay to play . On 93 octane car makes 400 which is super usable . Since the tune I’ve barely driven the car but it doesn’t spin in 3rd . Again I’ll make some more videos that will help answer your questions

My fk8 is 390 wheel FBO stock turbo and fuel, and with meth injection I can squeeze out 430wheel
I’m planing on getting a r but I just want to be fbo n tuned on 93 so I’m happy I can make close to 400 without turb and fuel system is that including the injectors too or did you keep ‘em stock

Right now oem rad . Have the vented hood that helps a lot . Also have a mishimoto intercooler I’m going to replace the prl one with

I did it all myself . I’m no mechanic but little UA-cam helps haha
If your going to run e85 definitely need the fuel system. If your staying just pump gas if at least get xdi pump . The turbo can be added whenever but you will need a tune
