- I made this review really long because I wanted to show all the things I was looking for when I wanted to buy this projector.

This review is so good, even to this day. I have found a second hand one for a cheap price in good condition and didn’t know how good it was. It really does seem to do the job. Thanks a lot 👍
The review is most helpful. I have been collecting projectors for years and without reviews like this a lot of people wouldn't know what to buy.I also work in the projection industry and each and every video review is extremely useful. It is still a bargain projector considering these were mega expensive years back.Watching movies and playing games is epic on the big screen - I appreciated the video review.

Thanks for the review, I will be getting this projector ( used ) in the next couple days, I am getting it due to the 3d vision and while I wont have a video review I will post on here to let you know how it holds up for me.
I currently have a asus 23 inch 1080p 120hz monitor, cant wait to compare the two.
I am sad to see you have to adjust your projector so much to make some things fit your screen better.

Just got it the other day, I dont even have a screen for it yet.
My at 1st I was slightly disappointed with the image rez of 720p but after getting the 3D working I am amazed.
Im coming from a 23 inc 1080p ASUS 3D monitor, and I love it for the 2d and the 120hz but barely ever played in 3D, and mostly only played WoW.
Now I wanted to play every thing in 3D and have been downloading every demo I can get my hands on to test out the 3D on this baby.
Hit me up with any questions you might have.
I think I'll have some 3d stuff up this summer, I never had the time over break and my dorm isn't well suited for shooting video of it.
Looks awesome. There is a H6380 model out now, around £400. I hope to try it soon.

I am looking for 3D projector a movies.but you didn't tell much more about 3D quality about this projector. I love to know about ur 3D experience about this projector.
@AndrosForever The monitor i had seem to do 3d a little better as far as pop out and depth, but this is much more enjoyable. I love the monitor but would gladly take the PJ over the monitor any day. I do miss the 1080p from time to time though.

I like how you're pointing your IR remote at the projector screen and saying "why it no work!?" when the IR receiver is on the Projector itself, all good though, looks awesome i might buy one.

Pretty good. I've heard the 3dvision can compare to imax. I've never seen imax though. My friends say it compares to the movie theater 3d. Looks good to me. Ebay would be the cheapest place, but you have to make sure you have everything else.
can we play a 3D movie over a Bluray 3D dvd Player over the HDMI or only we can use 3D technologie over a PC?
@michelle1920 You have to hook it up to a computer with nvidia 3d vision to do 3d that way.
You will need to have a way to attach optical audio to your speakers. My speakers have a console that has it built in.
@reddexred Gaming looks really nice. You can only get 3d gaming on PC though, which I have not tried yet.

Hello I have this same projector on a 100 inch drop down screen. I am not sure if anyone has said so but that port that you did not know what it is. It is the drive port for a 3d emitter unit for active 3d shutter glasses. For example I use the Nvidia 3d vision kit. It is normally hooked to a PC through USB. But it also includes a cable that connects to that port. I have not tried the 3d vision that way as I just use the USB. Oh and 3D gaming on this projector is awesome!! Great review. Thanks.

hey thanks for replying i actually got the optoma GT750e for 650 refurb its pretty good and the 3d is pops out big time on a 130"grey screen

I own this projector and I have no complaints whatsoever with it. It does 3D but you will need to get the "optoma 3d xl converter" a pair of DLP glasses and the HDMI cable to send the correct 3D signal to it. I've got my PS3 hooked up to it which I used to watch movies. I also have my XBOX 360 hooked up as well. Best investment ever. I use it daily for Modern Warfare and Skyrim :)

Hey man, awesome review! Very in depth and answered a lot of questions, but I have a couple more if you don't mind. How big would the screen size be from 15 feet away? and would the picture look good? I want to buy this projector for our home theater room which is 12' x 15'. Will the picture be grainy and pixelated from that far away? Thanks!

I`m watching this on my Infocus LP640.I want the Acer, but the life is what it must important.LCD is not as clean but is a work horse.But lp 640 projector is too bright and it doesn't have as many options as the Acer.I got mine for 200.00.And it is nice.I wish the Infocus had better contrast.the blacks are too light.But I love the clear text.I can read anything,np.Acer is the best deal.I am going to buy the Acer.You made a excellent video.Only vid on the web with a true review. I checked out the price in the UK and the cheapest I found is equivalent to about US$630. Some places are charging equivalent to nearly US$1000 !
I don't know why but so many things we get here are double the US price. I think it must be the tax man who makes all the money.
@vamos418 This projector only does up to 4000 hours, but with that about 3 years. I think it's about $250 for this lamp.
Depends on what you were using it for. Just movies and games, then I'd get the projector. Also if you have a dark room. Otherwise TV.
@mechrocktech but can you also hook it up with sony 3d bluray dvd player to watch 3d?
@LaenPvP It used to work just fine. It would just reflect off of the screen. Funny how it doesn't work on video...
What is the distance from the projector to the screen?
Also diagonal distance of image would be great too.
How many dollars need to be spend for viewing 3d games and hd maovies like including the cost of glasses

Hi, i got the same projector, H5360. And i have problem... I connected the projector with 3D blu-ray player Sony BDP S790. Works ok, but i cant get the 3D video. The player always show me information that its not connected to the 3D projection device. Maybe i done something wrong, maybe i missed something.... Could you help me with this? Projector its not connected to computer, only to the 3D blu-ray player.

Hey if you put a hdmi cord in the projector do you have a option to have audio out so you can hook it up to a surround sound system.
I have a question: is it possible to view side by side vids on youtube??? if so how??? when i select a 3d vid in youtupe otion side by side and full screen it , its still shows side by side. is it possible to change it to 3d. I am using DDD drivers and in order to view 3d i have to download the movie and watch it using power dvd. Cant i view it directly through youtube somehow???

Up to a 200 inch screen. It has to be able to focus and I think a 200 inch is the limit. Search projector calculator in google to tell you more. Also I use a 120 inch screen in the dark with eco setting and looks fine.
can you hook this up with any Sony 3D bluray player and able to watch 3d movie??? or the 3d is only gonna work with NVdia software??

Probably not since it doesn't have a good through distance. Meaning, you have to be a longer distance away to make a big image. If you have a long room it should work.

I'm not really sure of one in that price range, but look up projector reviews and you'll find some good budget ones. If it has a good review, then more than likely it will be good. Just keep that in mind.

Yes, but you'll have to use the optical audio output on the ps3.

Hey man great review. Thinking of buying this,can you tell me how long do these projectors last for? will use for 5-8 hrs daily (not the bulb but the actual unit) I've heard if you shut the projector off immediately after use without cooling it down it can blow up? So how long do you have to leave it on before shutting after use. What other precautions do you have to do? Need this to last me 4-5 years. Sorry for the idiotic questions - i dont know jack all about projectors. Thanks again.
hey there..great video..it made me buy on..best thing i ever got...but u may be able 2 help me more...i cant get my speakers working off the projector...i tried putting the projector on mute but it wont work..am i missing something on the settings??? they are working through the laptop but not d projector..

yo...does the picture start where your beamer starts? pretty hard to explain.

So many people forgetting one `BIG PROBLEM` that is the Rainbow effect !!! Just got my H5360 and when I'm watching movies/playing the Ps3, I see a green and purple horizontal line going across (up and down) my screen. It's like when you use those old camcorder and record a picture on a CRT screen and you see all those scans going up and down the screen.It doesn't just happen when the picture is moving, but even when I pause the game or looking at the ps3 menu,I see these faint green/purple lines

Ive read the new model H5360BD is 1.5 HDMI and is not supported with nvidia 3d vision.

unless you have a receiver and in this case you could hook your ps3 to your receiver and from there to the projector and there would be no need for separate optical cord
