Nice overview. While I agree that the Ash waste campaign has the harshest Environmental conditions baked-in the campaign rules, the aptly named Book of Peril provides Bad-lands Environments and Events, that can be added to any campaign and some of them are just as lethal as the Ash wastes. I am the local arbitrator, so I got all the books and gangs, so I can lend them to interested players for a demo and they can check it out, before having to spend any money. Personally I like longer hybrid campaigns, starting in the first period (3 weeks) using the Outlands campaign/scenarios, where players get to first focus on gathering resources to build up their home base/settlement and then we can shift to either Dominion or Law and Misrule, where the gangs will fight over Territories and Rackets for the second 3-weeks period and after that we can focus on more narrative-driven match-ups where the underdog gangs get to ambush/raid the HQs of the top dogs under their own terms (sometimes even allying multiple gangs against one overachieving gang, as appropriate). Anyway, keep up the good work and cheers! :)
@@miniaturesrundown Initially I satrted 'hybridizing' campaigns to create a 'noob-friendly' campaign where players get to adopt/learn the complex Necromunda rules incrementally, but later it became more focused on narrative shifts in our ongoing campaign. For example now we are considering the Aranthian succession campaign, but rather than starting with a 2000 creds brand new gang, right at the start of the planet wide black-out, to us it made more sense to do a few cycles of 'normal' campaigns to build-up our bases and gangs and at some unknown point the 'black-out' will happen and our gangs as they are at that time, will have to deal with the situation... It is more narratively organic for our group :)
I’m really enjoying your content and hope your channel does well. I was about to start an Ash Wastes campaign with some 40k/Mordheim players but now I’m thinking of a way to modify dominion to include vehicles in the second half instead. Bravo!
My group had a 3part campaign... we started with basically dominion after enough territories were gained ... a huge chaos uprasing started law and misrule campaign at the beginning gangs split in two parts basically one part still tried to stay and keep ground in the hive whilst other went out i the wastes that way we incorporated ashwastes... obviously our arbitrator did amazing job doing all the combining and to some extent house ruling ...
Ash wastes wants you dead, and I’ve only skimmed the thing. I swear the longer I read the closer I feel that it’s just, a new incarnation of the necronomicon.
As terrain density increases, vehicles should get minuses to movement/speed and hits. They should minus certain attacks as more terrain dynamics come into play as well. You can't go full road-warrior without enough open-road, so to speak. As well as pluses to hit and dmg vehicles, by certain gangers, when they are dug into heavy terrain (more cover/concealment bonuses against vehicles). A bit more practical balance to the battle dynamics without a whole lot of complication. And, a tad bit more realistic.
You guys should really sit across from each other! Every time you look at each other your mic volume wildly fluctuates which makes listening tricky, especially in ear buds!
I bought ash wastes but you gus have convinced me to start with an easier campaign. Can you or anyone recommend cheap or free (legal) campaign resources?
Great info. I love that you guys are taking the time to get people excited and into a game you love. But holy crap for the love of God, get someone to help you with your audio. I've watched 4 of your videos now and you need to get your audio dialed in.
We greatly appreciate the compliment and we couldn't agree more on the audio! This video is almost a year and a half old now, and we feel like we've improved. What do you think?

Hybridizing campaigns isn't something I'd considered - that sounds like a great way to keep it fresh and mix things up!

Love that! Sounds like you're playing the best kind of Necromunda

I'm glad that you agree that Mad Max is the best film ever made.

What are you talking about? I've read 2 versions of the necronomicon, and neither have post apocalyptic gang wars
@@timothyharvey302 strange. must have been a mislabeling. my mistake.
You guys make good videos. It's got me intrigued on this game. Appreciate all the work you've put into this game you have so much passion for.

We've fixed that for our next episode!
Have you ever tried running a campaign over a single weekend? Maybe two games a day for two or three days?
Thanks for the great and informative videos 🎉
Soo… you’re saying that Necromunda is GTA in the 40k universe… awesome!!

What if you dropped all customs by 20% credits? would that casue more issues?
I don't think so - in fact that might be a good move, they've generally pricy for their abilities.
where is the info that enforcers play Dominion just like everybody else?
ah, its only for badzone enforcers
Is the "Core Rulebook" the "Hive War" Rulebook?
Nope
Is there a campaign in each “Book of”?
No not all, but most have something to add to one it seems, I have a few myself

@@miniaturesrundown I'll have to check out some of your latest videos. I can imagine they're even better meow.
The Outlanders campaign is actually in Book of the Outcast, not Outlands. 😂
