Grilled Salad inspired from Tunisia / Salade Grillée Tunisienne / السلطة المشوية التونسية

- This salad/dip is inspired from the Tunisian cuisine. Eaten as a salad or a dip with bread, it makes a perfect side dish.

Ingredients:
• 5 green bell peppers
• 1 chili pepper
• 3 small tomatoes
• 1 small onion
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 teaspoon salt
• ½ teaspoon black pepper
• ½ teaspoon cumin
Directions:
• Wash and dry vegetables, and place in a large baking sheet.
• Grill the vegetables under the broiler until their skin gets charred and they soften up.
• Turn to grill the other side.
• When soft and charred, remove from oven and place in a large bowl.
• Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and allow the vegetables to cool.
• Peel the skin off, and chop the vegetables finely, removing the seeds.
• Add the olive oil and seasoning, and mash the salad with a fork until well combined.
• Serve with bread, boiled eggs, and olives.
• And enjoy!
