    Great information JD! You were right, you answered most of my questions. Going to proceed with the Solastic shackles for the unloaded ride and Timbrins to reduce squat. Will also look into the Billstein shocks. Anything I can do to smooth out the ride will be a bit help.

    We had the centramatic on a Semi trying to eliminate a shake that ended up coming from a rear suspension issue. I don’t know how long they were on the truck but the came off because the beads inside turned to powder. They did help till then. After the rear suspension issue was found the centramatics weren’t replaced.

    Hey JD, I just wanted to say thanks for you informative videos. I have a 2020 6.7 PS and this month makes it two years old. I just had to replace my batteries because one started going bad and I noticed the truck was starting a little slower than normal. I remember watching your Walmart battery video a while back and watched it again yesterday. You sold me on this ever start batteries and I’m glad I went with them. Most places were charging the same or more for flooded lead batteries with 2 year warranties. The ever start AGM batteries were $169 each with 4 year warranty, kinda hard to beat that. Without your video I would have never known and wasted money for a “name brand” battery, so thank you!

    Man I’m loving mine! I have a 2017 F450 black! Just turned over 250,329 miles as I speak! Delivered Thursday morning in Salem Oregon on my way back home to Michigan. And still the best thing I ever did on this truck was by those central medic wheel bouncers!!! And I still thank you very much for that tip! I put new tires on this would’ve had 188,000 miles and they still have 80% tread left on them because of those balancers!

    JD, do you know of a floor mat that will divert salt and water away and past the door kick panel. Myself and every other person who has a Super Duty who plow snow and salt lots have issues with saltwater getting down into the flat area where the door sill cover is and absolutely cakes the entire area with salt. My 19 F350 was full of salt from the kick panel where the hood latch is all the way back to the middle of the rear door. I needed to literally remove all the plastic trim and shop vac it out. Ive tried putting a old beach towel to try to absorb everything and change it out every couple storms but that didnt even help. Im sure my new F450 will be the same so Im removing all the trim in that and wrapping the entire wire pack from front to back in 3M super 88 2" electrical tape in hopes salt wont disintegrate the wiring in a couple years.

    My 1990 GMC DUEALY has Alcoa wheels and I really like the looks of them compared to the wheels on my Ford. Also my F350 is a Single rear wheel truck and that versus a Duealy much be a significant factor.

    I have a few towing questions. 1/2 pulling small camper.
    Questions:
    1. When setting up weight distribution hitch, Do you measure the actual body of trailer to make sure level? Only i ask is because seemed like when I did, the tongue was very slightly nose up/down when body was level. Dumb question I know.
    2. Roadmaster active suspension (RAS) vs Airbags? I have 2 people I talked to that say airbags. But their prev experience was bump-stop improvements (Timbren style)...so yea. Opinions? Unless your full fury.

    • @ebels3
      @ebels3 2 роки тому

      1. You want to be on level ground, then measure the frame to make it level. If you need help, consider watching a tutorial on the setup of the system you have. You could also take the combination into an RV dealer and have them do it for you.
      2. I put airbags on my Suburban. You said you have a half ton. Is it leaf spring or coil spring suspension in the rear? I'm pretty sure Roadmaster Active Suspension is only for leaf spring setups. It also depends on what you want to use the truck for the most. Do some research and comparisons, but both options should be reliable. If you go airbag, I would recommend airlift. Others have had good success with the Goodyear systems, too.

    Quick question. Anyone can response. Bought a F350 2016 platinum with wide track frt axle for better turning radius and 4:30 rear axle. When I brake on certain roads the 5th wheel starts bouncing at the hitch , sometimes really bad. I’ve only hauled the 5th wheel about 6x now. Averaging from an hour each way to about 3hrs each way. I pull the trailer brake controller and let off the gas and vehicle brake and it’ll stop bouncing. (To an extent) Any ideas what’s causing it???? Worn rear shocks???

    • @krice24
      @krice24 2 роки тому +1

      Probably warped rear brake rotors, and only notice when braking hard/with weight

    • @ebels3
      @ebels3 2 роки тому +2

      Probably not enough gain or too much gain. Play around with it. If it is truly bouncing at the hitch, it is usually not enough gain. If it is bouncing at the axles, it is too much gain. Next time it happens, see if the trailer wheels are locking up or going into an ABS event. Then adjust accordingly.

    • @akbychoice
      @akbychoice 2 роки тому +1
