Yeah absolutely, modders are already going crazy right now trying to fix stuff, imagine when the modding support gets released, imagine this game in a year or so, insane !
First things to say here: Ive played actally around 25 hours now and im to 100% certain it was well invested 100 euros since a long time beside the factorio DLC. The base game is very solid, ofc minor bugs for me till now. It has rly good atmosphere and gives me the real stalker vibe. After the garbage i explored the map, because from looking on my PDA i remembered so many locations, even when they are in different places now, it gave me so much nostalgia, also some familiar names after all these long years still in the zone. Also i need to say, i play with some mods like weight reduce on ammo, mutant health and such minor tweaks, because these are the only problems i actually have with the game. Beside that im totaly happy how it is. For me on my 2060 and ryzen 7 7800 i dont have much performance issues. My biggest issues are such as weight, durability, day night ciycle but these are things which can be alternated every time through mods. So far i like the story and how they assembled the whole Zone/world after the 3 OG's.
Yeah forr us fans just a few tweaks and it's good, the biggest issue so far is the Alife which is broken, otherwise the game is tolerable for sure, imagine with mods later when modding support hits, that would be insane ! they already started fixing a lot of stuff, but i'm gonna play it vanilla first and just focus on the main story and then replay and take my time with all the patches and mods ! @@CloZ_ZeN I think the casual gamer will not be have much fun with Stalker 2 story wise in the first playtrough. Casual gamers today are very weird species, they hate and complain more than loving to game. Not sure didnt had any big Problems with Alife so far, just it could be more and sometimes the spawns are weird. Yeah thats why i only got weight mod so far. Will play it vanila story multiple times because choices but alwayws with weight mod if they dont change it :D
Great interview and great advice. You were pretty much on point in your video, week before the release discussing potential issues in latest Stalker 2 gameplays. I have the game installed ready to roll, but I made a decision to wait a bit (few months perhaps?) until they fix the most important things. Immersion is a big thing for me in Stalker and these issues would be ruining the experience for me. I respect you looked at Stalker realistically at its current state, some hardcore fans and fanboys are just willing to close their eyes and defend the game for the sake of nostalgia or whatever the reason is. I agree GSC is not AAA studio, but the price 60€ is AAA in my book. 60€ for a game that runs more like early access is a bit too much. Also I respect you called them out on A-Life change which is 100% true they knew its pretty much absent, on review embargos etc. Their behavior and communication with fans was at times a bit shady, however they are lucky Stalker has such a strong and forgiving community. Despite all this, I am looking forward and will continue to keep an eye on the state of the game as it has a huge potential, once performance, AI/A-Life, bugs are fixed and mods added.
Yeah good decision on waiting, you'll have a way better experience with a few patches on, and yeah you're right, i mean i'll admit i'm a stalker fanboy too lmao but i try to be as objective as possible when doing these so people can get an unbiased opinion. Also yeah excatly, that's the problem i think, they're not a AAA studio but they made a AAA worthy title. Probably why it's uncooked. I wanted to wait too but I couldn't resist, so I decided to play the game but only do the main story. I'm avoiding all side quests and exploration until mod tools and mods are released. I'm really liking it so far.
Yeah i'm currently planning to do the same thing after i played for a bit, i think i'll focus more on the story for now, and i'll leave all the rest for my next playthroughs when more mods are out and more patches roll in, this is the best thing to do right now tbh, especially since the game has multiple choices and routes you can take
GREAT VIDEO....actually someone who points out these issues and just isnt saying..."its a stalker game. its supposed to be like this." this being bugs and bad gameplay elements. I uninstalled it and might try again in a year. Every company goes through troubles. they should not have released it yet. the war had nothing to do with when they chose to release the game. i blame Xbox as well. im sure there was pressure to get it before the end of the year.

I am already 10-12 hours in and I am blown away. It is like an impossible dream come true. But it has it's anomalies, like wobbly NPC's, tanky mutants, annoying day-night cycle and weapon and armour durability (it's annoying to jog miles to get your armour and weapons repaired and for ridiculous amounts of money). I play on Gforce now and it is perfect, although it sacrifices graphical fidelity.
Yeah for us stalkers it's finally dream come true hahaha it does have its issues but it's fine, the only thing i really hate is how npcs still feel like robots, it's breaking my immersion tbh but yeah glad you're having fun overall, i'll continue playing as well, and probably will upload some videos soon, maybe 30 minute episodes or something, see you in the zone stalker ! ☢
