Thanks for the shout out and for that extra info on the socket adapter that I completely missed 👍. I'll link your video on my video so people can get these good pointers.
Very helpful. Put the new part in very easy with you recommendation to line up, plug in and turn on. Went right is and lined up right the first time. 90deg. Tool very helpful also used magnetic socket driver to hold the screw. Tied The large wire bundle back some which helped to see the hole and line it all up. Did use a second pair of hands which was very helpful. Having good lighting was also very helpful, the smaller the light the better as it could get in the way. Thanks to this video and the other more detailed video we complete the job right at 2 hours.
Thanks man. Between your and Burn's video, I was able to knock this out in about 3.5 hours (also thanks to my petite handed wife). Keep up the good work.
Hey thank you I know the guy you talking about cuz I watched that same video any vehicle that I get I try to watch videos on how to you know troubleshoot anything but how to replace or repair anything but yeah when I got this vehicle I had that same problem so I took it back to the dealership and I guess the jewelry rigged it or something cuz it worked for a little while then it went right back to it the next day so now I'm taking it back to them hopefully they'll fix it this time but watching that video and stuff I might have to do it myself and watching yours helps I like to watch more than one video on seeing how to fix the problem because what he said and what you just did that helps out a whole lot thank you both of you
I just replaced mine on my 2016 ford explorer and I could access everything from under the dash under the column once that plastic bezel and metal bracket was removed without having to remove the cluster , didn't need the special extension either , I just used regular extensions, an 8mm, and a 1/4 cordless ratchet
I read that they have it close the vent when the vehicle is off. When the vehicle is on it opens or closes depending on the selection you made on the climate controls. This is to keep stuff out of the car when the vent is open.
This is just the vehicle switching modes, defrost, floor, vent. There's another actuator behind the glove box that switches between left side and right side if you have Dual mode.
Excuse me, my compressor is broken. Is it enough to change the compressor only, or is it necessary to change the air conditioner's adapter and tubes? And thanks
Extremely long-winded video and still have no understanding how to fix this problem. I think I learn more about the angle tool then anything. Where is the link to this guy's video you spoke of?
2:25, that tool right there is absolute garbage! Any screw that requires any kind of decent torque will break this thing very easily. First the bit will start slipping and then the metal snake on the inside will break in half. A $40 waste of money. There's got to be another way.

Nope, thank you for your video!
This video is a godsend - 1 1/2 hrs and it went pretty easy except looking for a dropped screw. Hope to never have to do that again.

Glad I could help

Thank you for your video also sir. Huge help!!

this is the same way to fix the defrost as well right?

Not sure if you’ll see this. Do you have experience with changing 3 accuators and the air still only coming out of the defrost and not front vents
I dont. Did you check if your actuators are moving pluggin but not installed into the box? if you change setting does it turn at all?
Excuse me, my compressor is broken. Is it enough to change the compressor only, or is it necessary to change the air conditioner's adapter and tubes? And thanks
I dont believe there would be any reason to change out hard lines unless there is a hole or break. But I would consult whoever does the work for you.
I replaced mine and not sure what i did wrong but it was originally stuck on vents, now its stuck on the floor. Any ideas?
Installed new mode actuator but it did not fix anything
Please help
What part did you use, Motorcraft or another one? What was the part number?
Can you post a link to the other video you keep referencing?
I have to do this on my mks turbo. Not looking forward to it.
Can u let me know kw tool name and part number for that socket magnetic
It would have been nice to see where it goes under the dash

Did you even try to search for the video?
I have a 2004explorer , no vacuum to actuator for vent door .
Where is the module you replaced and does that control vacuum
Thanks

We have found it to be useful, but I got it out by just using a swivel for the most part.
All talk No show how to get to it wtf. Wasted time. Talk too much
It was more so an add on video to Burn_1327 video that you can find.
