I'm Black and voted for Trump and have no regrets. His policies have been more Pro- Christian and Pro-Black then Obama's ever were. Obama is a globalist. Do you know what will eventually happen as we step into globalism? We will lose our sovereignty as a nation. Say goodbye to freedom of religion, speech, and assembly. All of these rights are important to the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. Also Globalism will lead to a one-world government with a one-world ruler. The bible calls him the antichrist. Start reading your Bibles and learn something about end time prophecy. Not one Democrat showed up at the ceremony when the USA moved our embassy to Jerusalem, thus recognizing it as the capital of Israel. Obama talked about doing it but never did it. He is not pro Israel, the only true democracy in the middle east; whose governing body, the Knesset, has Arab and muslims on it. Stop calling White Evangelicals racist because they support Trump. They support his policies one of which gave us Blacks the lowest unemployment we've experienced in years. The job I was at hired so many Black people it was amazing; a Black manager, group leaders, a supervisor, and warehouse workers. Another thing, many of the problems in the Black community would be erased if we would get back to doing what our ancestors did. They married first then had children. Seventy-five percent of Black children are born in homes with no father; no wonder there is so much crime and poverty in our communities. Ministers need to get back to reminding believers what the Word of God has to say about sexual purity, marriage, and family. That would help a lot because many don't do it today.

From the colonial time up to now, White people have always been seen as superior and have always been privileged in Africa. Even as expatriates, they always have the highest status in the society so that they don't have to stand on the line in airports, in banks, in offices etc. Even in South Africa where they are citizens but minority, they do the same. So, this is not a problem of majority vs minority; it is a state of mind of a certain group of people who are hateful and always feel superior to others.

It is a failure of faith. Faith is grounded in love. So if one loves the Lord Jesus that person knows that we are mandated to love. I have to pray every day for God to keep the hate out of my heart. So these people's faith is lacking because their love is lacking because their prayer is lacking. I'm still a work in progress but The Word has promised that the Good Work started by redemption shall be completed by Love so I practice to endure to the end.

I'll have to find Jesus elsewhere, what I'll do as a Black British living in America is practice loving the Lord thy God with all my heart soul and mind and love my neighbor as myself despite the pigmentation of one skin color. When I get back to Europe I'll find a Church that doesn't support Racism. Very sad America is.

I just saw a Billy Graham commercial speaking about the healing of this nation. It showed a African American man talking about how he in his own way was trying to bring us together. But I've seen other church people still fighting that 45 was cheated in the election. Im African American and as much as I would love to see us all come together in Christ 💘 sadly I don't know if we can. The most segregated hour is 11am Sunday morning. In the south especially during slavery the Bible was used to justify selling beating and all horrors of the slave trade. When plantation owners would let the slaves come together a overseer was present. And since reading was forbidden the slave minister was told what to preach. The one scripture that was always used was slaves be obedient to your masters. And masters were told to treat the slave justly. This thinking held for so long that when the Southern Baptist college came out with a apology some of the churches left the organization. This is sad. All of the televangelist who were so against President Obama were quick to take 45 as one of their own. Each man and woman has to search and pray to God as to what they want to do. America will get through this, but we must be honest enough to ask for forgiveness and not be so stuck in the political arena. We are taught to respect those who are in a position of authority. But not worship them.

The irony here is that politics is fake (worldly) power, and compared to the real power which is found in the Spirit and in obedience to God's Word, politics is nothing and doesn't achieve God's purposes in the earth with regard to His Church. Political evangelicals are not only wasting their time but, by worshiping Trump, are showing the Church to be utterly distasteful to the unbelieving world that desperately needs to respond positively to the Gospel of Christ. This slavery topic is exactly what makes me know that the Bible is written by men. There is so much more, against women for one. But really, I can not believe that the god that created everything and everyone would write such a book. Telling slaves to obey their masters,even if they’re unjust. Before we are judged, GOD makes us aware of our sins so that we can repent if it's in our hearts. The Evangelicals aren't repenting, they are parading their feigned superiority and lying on GOD and about the Word of God in order to justify their evils. I've prayed for them, but I don't think repentance is in their hearts. Their "claim to fame" existence is tied to the color of their skin, not Jesus Christ or the Gospel.

He then goes on to talk about the theory of what evangelicalism is supposed to be. He goes into his theories and ideas about what evangelical should mean. So, we have a difference between the objective reality of evangelical christianity and the theory of christianity. Thus, the obvious question, do you believe in objective reality OR this theory. You can only pick one since they clearly don't agree with each other.

William Jennings Bryan was very much a Liberal Fundamentalist, and very much an Economic Progressive. He was definitely the AOC and Bernie Sanders of his era.

I have found that denomination tribalism is what stands in the way most of the time. Churches remain segregated for the most part currently. Children are not born racist, it is learned and reinforced by their parents.

This is a non-subject. The mission of the New Testament church as described in Paul's epistles, is to make disciples-disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is not responsible to cause social change regarding racism. All people are of the human race, in various expressions of skin color, physical appearance, and ethnicity.
I feel our nation is in what it is due to the lack of integrity and honesty of the church as indicated through scriptures from the very beginning of this nation. The church has been either Democratic, Republican, rather than THEOCRATIC. When God people choose to look to the world governments, like the Pharisees and Sadducees, they missed Jesus, his Disciples, the gospel, and reinvent their own version of the gospel. Which examples was played out throughout Paul's ministry and regions he spread the True gospel. We are experiencing the American gospel fallen. The American gospel is different if you are conservative, liberal, black, white, Latino, rich or poor, etc. The American gospel is subject to interpretation by the modern day Pharisees and Sadducees who's discussing things that has no bearing to the scriptures or to God's Kingdom that will come eventually and destroy all these kingdoms, including the U.S.A. I can't speak for God regarding America, and other nations who claim to be christian- driven. I don't want to be like Job's companions who was speaking well - but not according to God. They were almost kill by God because of it. But based on the history of this country's genocides. Inhumane deeds, crimes, injust policies, laws, wars internationally and internally - yet force to be the moral compass of the world, without judging itself and holding itself accountable-- is a disgrace and is being reveal now to the world. Most of the above mentioned was either started through the church under the (nation pride) banner or condone by the church based on their silences or complacency. Either way now people of the world see us as hypocritical or irrelevant. Now new generations are seeing religion particularly those who represent Christianity as responsible for the way things are now.
Fear of death is what brings people to church people that are afraid of the afterlife take on religion. Isn't that what it is all about going to heaven, not hell? Every religious person that came to my door to talk to me about it all pointed that out first. So yes fear is a big factor.
At least there is one evangelical in the entire world with some self awareness.
