You can't overcharge it. There is a charging circuit in every device that controls when it should charge or not.
If we could root the Quest, then we could change the charging limit to about 80 percent and save the battery with it. That's what I did with my old phone. Also with my laptop, it supports it by default.

So glad I ran into this video about quest 2 and number 8 caught my attention
and to that I just started sticking to the OG charger, it probably should of been common sense for any controller or system to plug in the right charger it came with
Man I used the charger that came with the quest 2 and then a few days after using it it just stopped working with it so I was forced to use a different cord

I enjoyed the video, even though it's based on your lived experiences, that's what makes it great! It gave me a great point of view on caring for my Quest 3, I skipped the 2 just because as you stated when the next launch happens my 3 will be ok for a bit before necessary upgrades etc etc..... the Quest did help me start creating content....it does make it fun

I nevertheless have had a problem with the base headstrap
when i saw the thumbnail i was like “wait i can’t charge my oculus”
I accidently put it near my window, thinking that it had to be outside for those dots to appear on the headset, but thank god that is was two very tiny dots next to each other.
4:06 that is the exact reason why none of my irl friends know i own a quest 2 and everytime they come over i put it in my safe

I have a legit question, I am completely new to VR, I bought a quest 2 instead of the quest 3, I just couldn't justify spending so much on a VR but I'm worried now that the quest 2 is going to have a limited life expectancy, should I bite the bullet and get quest 3 so it's at least future proofed?
Since the quest 2 was WAY more successful than the quest 1, they will definitely support it for a much longer time than how they did the quest 1. Meta sold over 20 million quest 2’s and will not pull the plug on it anytime soon. If you want the best VR experience possible, then the quest 3 is for you but I think you made the right choice by choosing the quest 2 over the quest 3.
Bro I was playing Pc VR then I plug it out the wrong way from the headset not from my pc then my charger it's just melted
personally, I can't afford any other games at the moment so I have stuck to gorilla tag, but I do intend on getting more games soon

I dont mind playing one game. I just dont have a money to buy other games that are pricey. I used vr in other stuff. 😜 meta quest 3 is a big upgrade, its way expensive 😂😂😂

The only reason I disagree with your first opinion is because I think that VR is about finding your niche. If you play multiple games, great! If you started playing one game and that’s the only game you do play, amazing! Especially with games like Gorilla Tag, where it’s very easy to get sucked into it as its a simple game with an AMAZING concept, and it’s all so easy to learn. Not only that, but I find that Gorilla Tag has a more active community than many other games and that’s because the devs put out constant updates that make you want to keep coming back. And there are other games that people will only play exclusively, and that’s for their own reasons. My point is, everyone has their own opinion, and I respect yours. I just think that playing one game doesn’t “ruin,” your experience. I do think people should at least try another game at least once though.

Because there is literally no VR UA-camr that actually talks badly about the terrible Quest 2 strap
Let me tell you my experience using the Quest 2 strap when I first got the thing it gave me a massive headach just wearing the headset for longer than 2 minutes which I never got on the Oculus Rift
So in the end I ended up buying a Oculus Quest 2 third party strap and ever since I just had a much better time with the Quest 2 playing PC VR games wirelessly

Honestly getting the quest 2 late isn’t that bad, I honestly don’t like the quest 3 it’s too slim for my liking and that gap between your nose and the headset is really gonna bother me so I got the quest 2 instead of the 3, I’m just gonna wait for the 4th one to come out if I wanna upgrade, yes I know the quest 2 will be discontinued by then but it’s not that bad ngl, not a sin in my book.
