Thank you Nancy. Lovely to watch your video whilst I ate my breakfast on a chilly morning here in the UK. Love the socks as always and Sam's sweater is going to be gorgeous. I will be looking into Eldenwood Crafts to the yarn in your new design. Keep warm and enjoy the crafting. 🇬🇧
Such a wonderful surprise to sit down with my knitting and find that you have uploaded a new episode. Wishing you a wonderful New Year with lots of great knits!
What a great way to spend an hour knitting color work mittens from stash Icelandic. Thank you! After going through my stash, I'm tempted to make the crochet shawl as an ongoing project. Yours is stunning! I've been "multi-craftual" as you are and cross-stitched a large 3-D gingerbread house years ago from a Better Homes & Gardens book I have. It's a satisfying craft! My first "readers" were purchased when I did Hardanger embroidery. Gorgeous but tiny! All the best. ❄️☺️
Always lovely to catch up with you Nancy! I am also a Wicked fan and can’t wait to go see the second part with my sister-in-law next November! I hope to have time to knit us a matching pair of my Wicked Friendship socks (mine are getting worn out and she is super knit worthy so sounds like a must for us both!). Can’t wait to see your next design for the 3rd instalment of your Breast Cancer research fundraiser! They are always fantastic! 🥰💖
I love making hats and wear them when it's really cold. I just made the Sophie Hood and it's going to be my new cold weather head and neck warmer. It's a fast knit and it looks good on people who don't look good in hats (me!).
Thank you for another wonderful episode. I love the crochet shawl. I am currently working on cross stitches for my twin granddaughters birthday and a Canada one for my son’s cottage in the US. Too many hobbies and never enough time.
My sock journey echoes yours…I was on a trip to Vancouver Island over 20 years ago and wandered by the yarn shop in Sidney. In the window they had the most wonderful pair of ‘fairisle’ socks. I went in and asked for the pattern- no pattern, the yarn does it all! Immediately bought 3 skeins and I’ve had a pair of socks on the needles ever since. Still love the commercial (Opal, Regia etc.) self striping yarns and everyone in the family gets a pair for Christmas. Still love my dpns though:)
Happy New Year, Nancy. Firstly, I love the shawl on you. You look amazing. So happy to see you. I've missed you. Thank you for keeping me company on the treadmill. Went further because of your podcast. Thank you. You inspired me to continue with my WIPsss. Love love your podcasts. Hope to meet you one day. I live in Ottawa and will be attending knitcity events. Take care

Lovely to see you and your wine sounded lovely and really made me want a glass(or two!) Loved seeing your projects and your wips. I really loved the Wicked skeins you are going to knit up for Sam. Take care and a very Happy New Year to you and your family x
I have also enjoyed embroidery and cross stitching. I have taught workshops on different embroidery stitches. And of course I love to knit and crochet. Nice to see you:)
Soooo good to see your first podcast of 2025, Nancy. I have also been a needle worker in the past, preferring embroidery to cross stitch. Now days it is just knitting. I'm hoping to not be tempted by new yarn or patterns & work from my yarn & pattern stash.
Nancy, I was SO EXCITED to see my favorite podcaster release a new episode! I immediately sat down and picked up my knitting for a fun hour of catching up. I'm enjoying seeing Sam's sweater come together. It's such an interesting pattern. Your splendiferous socks are beautiful. I love your new cross-stitch pattern. All the colors look like shades of wine, which suits you perfectly. As always, I'm already looking forward to your next episode! Happy crafting! ❤🧶
Wishing you a very Happy New Year Nancy, lovely catch up. The Wigget socks look fab, excited to hear you will release the pattern at the end of the month. 😊
Happy New Year Nancy! I really enjoyed Vlogmas as well, but glad to see your usual format. I’ll be watching for the release of the Wigget socks. loved your spinning too. Terry
Hi Nancy, Happy New Year! I am currently working on my fifth Musselburg hat. I am addicted since I found a tutorial showing an easy way to cast on the pin hole. Now am using up my single skeins.
Happy New Year Nancy, thanks so much for another lovely podcast, really got used to seeing you every day over vlogmas and missed you once it was over, so it's wonderful to be knitting along with you once again. You're enabling me re the cross-stitch, I love it but have real difficulty threading the blasted needle every time I need a colour change 😂. I love watching Davina from Little Workroom Crafts podcast as she is a brilliant cross-stitcher (and knitter/quilter/crocheter). So glad you include crochet and cross stitch on your show❤. Your crochet shawl is amazing.
Hi from Perth Western Australia. I watched your chat with Libby last week and have been exploring your channel. I always have a pair of sock on my needles as they are so portable. I saw your sock tube on a couple of videos and am going to give it a go on my next trip.
Thank you for my lunchtime entertainment, which has run over into me making lemon bergamot marmalade. I made small apple tarts with a marzipan topping earlier, but they are rather delicate, so perhaps not the final version yet. Sx
Happy New Year Nancy! I am looking forward to a year full of socks...For the Finchley graft: I am no expert but when I did it for socks, you turn the sock inside out to work from that side, so how that works on something you can't turn back to RSO I am not sure! Will be interesting to hear what you decide/think on that. Love that Isabell Kraemer wrap/shrug , it's gorgeous..still sitting in my wishlist for "some day". The granny wrap turned out great: fun colors. And the cross stitch!!! That knitters sampler...I may need to convince my friend to make one for me (how much does she like me? 🤣). Stay warm!
I haven't taken my Christmas decorations down either! The 5 grandsons come to visit at the end if the week for a few weeks so we'll do Christmas with them and tge gi sailing for 2 weeks until the end of January 😊
Happy New Year Nancy! I think I need to look into your Skillshare offer, but hope (for my sake 😉) that there aren’t 500 subscribers before mid/late February. We move into our house next week and I believe I will be a little busy for a few weeks. Anyway, embroidery has been on my radar for the last year, along with upping my weaving game and getting better at the drop spindle. Oh, and I just claimed a slew of water colour and acrylic paints from my aging mother that my husband and I would like to learn to paint together. Also, I want to learn rug hooking. 🤣 Do you think there are enough hours in 2025 to do all that. But not until February! Happy crafting! 🥂
My New Year’s Eve cast on was the “Kore cardigan” Natasha Hjornby (sp) in shoppel ALB Lino. (Fingering ugh lol) beautiful slip st built in collar, contiguous sleeve, and I plan to give it some a-line and longer after sleeve sep. she’s not super size inclusive, but I want the garter stitch thing badly and can make the biggest size…I’m a hypocrite. Sam should love the ozetta, I always wanted to try one of her patterns. Happy new year!
Another great video Nancy. I was wondering if you are going to offer your Heel class online? I'm looking for a new short row heel pattern that fits well. I find the Afterthought Heel doesn't fit me very well. My go to heel is the Heel Flap and Gusset but sometimes you just don't want your stripes or pooling to be interrupted. I just purchased the Fish Lips Kiss heel pattern but I haven't tried it yet. You mentioned you just knit that heel. Do you have any tips for knitting it? I only found one tutorial on UA-cam about it and it was in a different language. It did have subtitles but if I was reading I couldn't catch everything that she was doing. If you are looking for a video tutorial to do the Fish Lips Kiss heel tutorial would be a good one. Cheers and enjoy your week. 😘
The first 500 people to use my link skl.sh/knitsiphappy01251 will get a 1 month free trial of Skillshare!
I used your code, and I have been curious about skillshare for a while. Thanks Nancy.
Love, love, love Gavin & Stacey! Whenever Nessa said 'What's occurring?" Was my fav part.
So lovely to see you back, Nancy. Looking forward to spending another year with you 🥰
You're a treasure, Nancy. Thank you!
So great to have you back Nancy with your first podcast for the new year. Your Granny wrap looks great. Enjoyed your podcast with Libby
I absolutely love love love your crochet wrap and how you made it over the advent period! just fabulous!! can't wait to chat at knit night! xo

Roxanne has a good tutorial for the Finchley. Nice save on the cowl.

Great episode Nancy. I love my chargeable candles, I’m sure you will. Tree still up here as well. Hard to say bye to the sparkle. Happy New Year!
I received the Blizzard pattern by Jessica McDonald and the wool for Christmas. I am almost finished the body. It's such a beautiful sweater! 😊
Wishing you a very Happy New Year Nancy, lovely catch up. The Wigget socks look fab, excited to hear you will release the pattern at the end of the month. 😊

Have you tried the knitted Kitchener stitch? Very Pink Knits has a great you tube tutorial for it.
