The deer are exquisite. Your niece will adore them and will take great joy in changing their lovely little clothes! The test knit looks intriguing - I’m looking forward to seeing the finished article. I really hope your health improves. Stay well and keep knitting.
Hi Gwen, happy New Year! I'm fine over here in France. Watching podcasts and crocheting as a way to forget about the news in the world. Your deer are sooo lovely, with their cute little clothes... I like the colors of your mystery test. It will certainly look fantastic. Take care!
Hallo Lovely Gwen, so lovely to sit with you again, I love the house basket and I’m sure your niece will love her deer and their changes of clothes, I made the same reindeer for my grandchildren last Christmas, and I love Julie Williams patterns, they are so cute. I made 3 bunnies this year with various outfits for friends to give to granddaughters and received lovely photos of the recipients with their bunnies! I take my hat off to you knitting something in mohair, I tried once to crochet a mohair blanket but it stopped at being quite a short scarf because I couldn’t cope with the hairy mouth that came with it! My plan this year is to knit from stash and not buy much yarn, I think that might mean lots of socks and small items, I don’t have any sweater quantities but maybe I will find some as I work down the stash! I used to make lots of amigurumi animals and dolls so I have quite a lot of 4ply and DK cotton, I might use it to crochet blankets as I don’t want to do more amigurumi. Then I might have room for new yarn! But I’m only going to buy yarn that is enough for a particular project, so that even if I change my mind about the project, I won’t be left with lots of odd balls! That is the plan at the moment anyway 😂. I hope your new medication settles soon and you get more good days and less aches, looking forward to seeing you and your makes as we go through 2025. 🧡🧶❤️
Hi Jane! Lovely to hear from you again! ❤️ yes I’ve made my daughter two mice when she was little, that’s how I knew about Julie’s patterns in the first place. My niece loved to play with them when she was here a while ago and that gave me the idea to knit her the deer. Knitting in mohair is a little fiddly, but once you get going you get used to it. And knitting double stranded is easier than knitting with only one strand. I’ve knitted a top with a single strand and though I love it, it was… hard 🤪😆 2025 is stash year for lots of us I think!
Hallo Gwen. How exciting to be doing the surprise test knit as you hadn't expected to be picked. Hope you are enjoying it? I love watching Anne of Green Gables from the 80s and Road to Avonlea from the 90s. I haven't seen Anne with an E. That beret pattern is beautiful! I am older but wear a wool beret. 😄 They are always complementary. I have lots of plans for my stash in the new year. I want to get a crochet pullover finished that has been sitting in my project bag while I finish my advent yarn project. I have 3 projects lined up for this year so far. Love your mitten!! The second should be easy after having done one?? With any luck, it will turn cold here in The Netherlands. I am hoping for some winter weather instead of just rain. I enjoyed your vlogmas. Glad you decided to do it. Happy crafting! 🧶
I really like the new sweater for your daughter, it will be beautiful. I am finishing up projects already started I hope. And also want to use up what's in stash
I hope your new medication works out well for you ❤. My sister was a long-time sufferer of MS, and my heart goes out to anyone having to deal with it. We have a high incidence of it here in Canada...is it the same in your country? Years ago, I think there was an opinion that the northern countries had higher counts of MS.

Anne with an E staat op Netflix, echt een aanrader! Ik ben heel benieuwd naar de baret, ik heb er nog nooit eentje gebreid. ❤️
@thewoollycloset I think I am a dinosaur because I am one of the few who doesn't have Netflix. LOL! I am looking if I can watch it online.

Yes it’s what I’ve heard as well, northern countries have more patients. But we don’t know why …
