Basic Tracking tips!

For anyone on the frontier, knowing how to read animal sign was a key survival and living skill. Knowing where to look, where animals frequent, and identifying the characteristics of "fresh" sign is a timeless woodland skill. In today's video we cover the basics of these timeless skills. Recently you commented on Ted Franklin Belue’ book. Many years ago he was on Kentucky Afield History of hunting in Kentucky Part 2. This episode was no longer on their videos, so I called and asked if it could be placed back on UA-cam. They found the episode and had it back on within 6 hours. Thanks to them. When I was learning about Ungulates especially Wapiti scat, I was told a joke that helped me, a feller was running for office and was campaigning out the back of a steam locomotive, he was asked by Jeb if he knew why when a dog poops it looks like a tootsie roll, and he said he did not know, then Jeb asked why when a chicken poops it just splatters, and the man said he did not know. Jeb then shouted at the man that he would not vote for him because he did not know s--it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
