In many countries, the frozen food section has the best food, but it looks like Japan has really good fresh selections! (No, I don't just eat frozen food when I travel! Supermarkets here in Tokyo have delicious selections of bento boxes, many of which are below ¥500. People also can get healthy large size meal for about ¥500: a bag of organic leafy greens/salads (about ¥200 or so) + any omega 3 rich fish (cooked/smoked/raw) for less than ¥300.
Ok, good, quality and affordable food aside, I didn't realize there's a dog in the middle poking it's head out. I'm new to this channel and that is just downright cute 😍.

Thank you! I am in Japan and I like to go to Universe Supermarket to get readymade products, but I am not sure what to buy so your tips are helpful. I like the combination salad of a macaroni salad, potato salad, and spaghetti salad with kombu squash mash.

i wish here in hawaii we had such a great variety of ready made food sometimes cheaper to buy ready made but i would have a tough time making a choice n $398 yen.. you can even get mcdonalds for that price here thanks enjoyed the video

These bentos are nice and filling, but, according to my need for proteins, the best bentos ever are the ones Satoshi made last time for the picnic in Ome. They will be my reference for future bentos ! Thank you! *** By the way, I would appreciate if Satoshi taught how to make the sauce for the tonkatsu sandwich one of these days. It looked super yummy!
Today marks exactly one year since I visited japan, from Australia. It truly makes my heart hurt that I can’t return anytime soon. I hope the Japanese people and the businesses and economy are doing okay and everyone is happy and healthy and safe. I will return ASAP!💕💕💕

We do have good food at restaurants come on now...but definitely, the Japanese food they serve here is super expensive and crappy.
