Hope this video helps you guys :D
Thank you for the video. Please tell me why when I do AMD Radeon Software undervolt at 1080 v. or 1100 v. and then check GPU memory Voltage values in OCCT or AIDA64, it shows a standard voltage of 1.250 v.
I have a Vega 56 Asus Rog Strix, everything is working fine, but why do not change the figures in OCCT or AIDA?
Do I need to change something in Windows settings?
It gave me a good boost, thanks dude
Hello I recently installed my rx6700 yesterday
I’m fairly new to PCs but I don’t think this is normal for mine on gpu tweak on idle when Even when I first start up my pc gpu speed is at 2600 MHz
And during gameplay my vram usage jumps to 216% way over 100% is this normal ?
that was amazing and helpful video, I'll keep checking and looking forward to your new great video💪🏼🔧 Thank you as always Fabio
Why do you increase the power limit? I am constrained with SFFPC and just need to make my GPU undervolted in order to keep it within 100 hotspot, raising the power limit doesn't help here and no one tells how to do the only undervolting. I've tried to do the next thing: Don't change anything except voltage, memory, and power limit. First, I make sure that with 1090mV GPU seems stable enough, then I added memory +100MHz OC as it seems to be safe enough and don't make any difference for overall temps and then decreased power limit to -5%. It seems stable, but I don't see much change in the temperature, am I doing something wrong?
2 years later and you are still helping people like me with a new RX 6700XT. Thank you!
Same. Got mine last Saturday.😊

This man is so detailed, has already done all the trials and errors for you, tells you how to achieve what he achieved and his recommendations. Dude... keep this up. This is educational and helping many.
Thank you very much. A hug 💪
@@AncientGameplays A topless hug? I'm in
Thank you! I finally scored a 6700 XT and this was exactly what I needed to get my temps down. I literally took your settings, no tweaks, and junction temp in game dropped from high 80's to high 50's! I very much appreciate your help!
You're welcome
fakekew
Wow, this helped boost my performance on my PC so much! My junction temp on my Gpu was hitting 91-93c but after these tweaks it’s at a constant 59-60c & that’s while running a super heavy FPS game! Thanks a lot for the help!
Great!!
My junction temperature during my benchmarks were just under 110 which is the recommended max. After following this, it's sub 90 AND better in performance. This guy knows what he's talking about.
Thanks for watching :D
Thank you for this comment! I been seeing my junction temp hang around 88 to 90 degrees while my current temp was between 65 to 70. 70 cause I turned the AC off lol eletric bill ain't cheap lol. But now I know my junction temp isn't bad from reading your comment
Thanks a lot for your detailed video. I have laptop 6700M which draws max 135W. I tried to tune similarly and its performance improved!
One thing I'd like to ask is should I turn the SmartShift off or leave it on with all your manual tweakings?
Brah! You are the best when it comes to overclocking/undervolting AMD 6000 series GPU's! The settings you suggest have worked out great for my 6700xt and my kids 6600xt! Your tutorials are so easy to follow and very easy to understand, please keep up the awesome work!!!
Thank you for the words man!
And that's how things work. Very easy to follow. I love the content as well as the delivery. Do great things, my guy.
Thank you 💪💪
3 years later and still works like a charm, temps dropped to around 10C less along with the power draw and stability went up
thanks dude
just got this card and i have to say, undervolting and doing a slight overclock is very worth while with this card! Just in the 2 examples at the end there was a decent uplift and decrease in power usage. Although in Control it was less noticeable, mostly do to very poor optimization as CPU usage remained pretty low for most of the run.
Aftermarket cards (unlike this one) can get way better results :D
Wow, great video. Thanks for all the explanations. I have had an RX590 for while and the tuning tab has always seemed intimidating but my rx 6700 is set to arrive tomorrow and this video has been very helpful in the prep.
You will be fine :D
I love the ability to have different gpu oc profiles based on the different games you have installed on your computer through the Radeon Software. Some games I have the gpu oc on and some others may have Radeon Chill enabled. It's a great feature.
Indeed
@@AncientGameplays An interesting video idea may be going through some of the settings for streaming and what you use. I ask because I wanted to try streaming to show a friend of mine a game so I decided to search YT and there were some guides but nothing crazy or too recent.
My questions mainly are does it effect the stream quality if I play at 1440p or 4K at around 120 to 165 fps and am streaming at 1080P/60?
What about bit rate? I know higher is better quality. I tried the high quality preset on the Radeon Software. 1080/60/6mbs bitrate I believe it is.
Which do you use?
Cara, não sei nem como te agradecer, pqp. Já tinha tentado de tudo por aqui, assisti vários tutoriais e nada resolvia os problemas da minha 6750XT.

Fico feliz em saber!
i have 6750xt too, what settings you used? my hotspot is getting heated to 110C sometimes
Oi markondes, c pode entrar em contato cmg? gostaria de falar sobre isso e se possivel tirar uma duvidas
I adjusted the settings according to the content of the video. The performance of the GPU has indeed improved a lot. My GPU has been maintained at 1700~1900MHz before. VRAM and Power have not been set, so the real performance of the GPU has not been played. I am glad to see your video.
you're welcome 💪
thanks ancient gameplay, with driver 22.11.2 and apply this OC and undervolt my tempre drop from 72c to 62c, hotspot 104c to 84c. this is so usefull for me with my new rx 6700 xt, new subs here. now your video will be my top priority thank you very much really make me happy!
I just scored a 2nd hand 6700 XT and your vid still works till this day with current drivers. Followed your settings and Im definitely getting less power draw which was my goal and cooler temps. thank you so much for making these type of evergreen videos.

Helpful video, still helping out people with your channel. Just got my 6700XT Red Devil and came straight here to get guidelines in tuning it :D
what were your settings or did you use his?
@@Xilent1 I used his as they we re stable in my card.
Thanks man! Copied the same settings and gained close to 20fps in furmark. My GPU temps didint really change much (sits at about 60c under load) but I'm happy with the results.
I'm using a powercolor red devil 6700xt
this guy is great, awesome tips and wonderful turn out. i got my gpu from 91 degrees Celsius down to 53 with these tips 💪🏼
Nice!
Thank you for all the hard work you do, you have helped me alot with my amd setup
I have an aurora r10 And this helped noise of fans and gpu temp tremendously thank you sm brother not a lot of videos on this card and you did a perfect job made my purchase 10x more worth it edit- had to come back felt like I didn’t give good enough of a review this video made my pc go from sounding obnoxiously loud to silent when playing high demand games dude made life so much better appreciate it
💪💪
Following these steps for my 6700xt helped me improve 2~5 fps and decrease 1~5 C temperature in games like Cyber Punk, Witcher 3, and PUBG. It feels more stable now. Thank you AG!
You're welcome 💪
WOW 🤯 thank you ! This actually increase my frames & feels so much smoother on call of duty 🔥 YOU GENIUS!! What a difference of gaming
You're welcome
Thanks for the guide! Very precise and well laid out. I like that you focused on the efficiency! I was immediately able to see that through my own testing. For the GPU clocks at min: 2500mhz, max:2600 = 150w with a 85c hotspot vs GPU Clocks min: 2700mhz, max: 2800mhz = 200w with a 100c hotspot. The difference was just 4fps on the Cyberpunk Benchmark. Awesome!
Much better in terms of temps and pdraw. Win-win
Amazing video. Just bought this gpu and waiting for it to arrive. I'll definitely be watching this again once I get it
Thank you :D
Thank you for this detailed tutorial. This worked perfectly with my 6750 XT
Been waiting for this :D
Great :D
Thanks a lot for your help. After your settings, my rx 6750 xt significantly reduced power consumption (220W to 160W), temperature and noise while maintaining the same performance as on the default settings. So I recommend everyone to do this undervolting.😊
hey, which settings did you use for the rx 6750 xt?
@@fantovski4427 In my Sapphire Pulse: mV 1165, MHz 2500-2600, FreeSync On, Vram Fast Sync 100%, Max rpm 66%, Power Limit 15. :)
Tnx for this video man. Well explained tutorial and even much more so, much appreciated the results comparison between stock vs oc/uv using actual gaming footage.
The best settings and the best explanation! Beyond praise!
Thank you!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks man my gpu used to reach 90-95 degrees before and now it constantly stays under 80 after these tweaks. Great Vid!

Thank you for the great video. This was an awesome starting point to get my card dialed in. Cheers
Thank you for watching :D
I was actually able to Follow this exactly on my card (Red Devil) with no issues. It's less toasty and is using less power and I'm getting slightly better frames. Thank you Ancient.
You're welcome
@joshua Smith exact same setting for your red devil 6700xt? i just got one, i wanna know if i can just put in the same setting without crashing, ofcourse ill fine tune it if needed
same card more cold but 5 FPS better during benchmark
Were you doing this on the silence BIOS or the overclocking BIOS on your Red Devil?
Mine crash at gta in 5secs on story mode lol, im using red devil too

Thanks man, you helped me keep my Flaming hot Powercolor RX 6700 XT Fighter cool and stable! You're the best!
Thank you for this. I'm glad I found it. Anything in which I can get more out of my GPU while also not over heating it is a plus.

Worked very well (XFX SWFT309 6700 XT - 1.15V ) : 28 946 to 29 362 on Fire Strike Score 1080p (around 67-69°C to 61-65°C) Thank you !
I have the same card was everything else the same or did you just under volt?
I watched the whole video even though I have RX 580. as always love your intro.

Thanks man, your video helped me to a lot.
i am not very savvy on these kinds of things. I was getting horrible frame drops in my games and this helped a lot. Thank you so much for making this video! You have saved me so much trouble and broke it down in an easy way for an inept person like me to get right first try. You're the best!
Glad to help!
Yo just another follow up dude, I was able to undervolt my sapphire nitro 6700 xt down to 1050v stable. Tested a few games, and heaven benchmark, it ran stable and there's a beautiful overall stability in everything. Anything lower than 1050 is crashing and resetting the settings so I left it. Thanks again man.
Put it at 1060 just be sure now. Good!
Doing testing with my XFX 319 Merc Black 6700 xt. was great having such a thorough step by step, its my first AMD card (besides whats in my ps4 lol).
Curious how you get that clean statistics overlay with those stock/oc-uv comparisons near the end of the video. Also would be interested to hear if you have any insight on which temp sensor is read for the fans and which is read for the clock algorithm.
That is a heavily tuned MSI afterburner overlay hehe. Can't share it or people would copy it hehe
@@AncientGameplays no worries I understand, thanks for the info though.
Curious how you have that run along side amd if doing gpu oc. Isn't there conflicts between the two on which one gets to apply settings?
Been following your tutorials from my 6600xt now to my 6700xt. Hope it arrives soon so i can apply this settings.
Thank you
Thank you , i was a little bit scared seeing 92c junction temp in horizon zero dawn , worked well ♥
Great 💪
I bought the aorus elite 6700xt. Stock max temp (junc) was around 78/80 c while playing which i think its very good anyway but i drop to 65/67 c with your values and the noise now is incredible low. Idle temp is around 30 xD. Thank you! Good video
You're welcome

Hey fabio u are the best bro thank you for the rx 5700 xt guides. this my new card and i checked oyt first of ur videos. i just asking for u the last test oc/uv about the SAM is on ? or not
Hey man, yes, in both tests, SAM is on :D
Bro, thank you! I got my ASrock 6700 XT Challenger D 12GB OC running on these settings at 67c GPU and 83c Junction temps capped with some noticeable performance boost in Halo Infinite and power consumption dropped down from ~190W to 150W stable! 140+ fps on Ultra graphics in FullHD. Before it was jumping between 115-134 fps and heated up like an oven to 80-83c GPU and 95-105c Junction!
I know, crazy right? You're welcome
Hi I got that card, hoe is going right now with it? No problems?
Which oc/uv Settings did you use?
Can you provide us with uv settings
I know undervolting manually the GPU and power consumption will beat auto any day, but just to be safe and avoid any crashes (although its rare) I just put my gaming PC on Auto-Undervolt and with SAM enabled (CMS disabled, and Memory 4G enabled in BIOS). This already makes my system consume less power and keep lower temps more consistent, also it makes my games run better with no input lag and maintaining 120fps at the least when not in a heavy populated area (MMO games).
Just bought a Powercooler rx 6700 xt for $350. This guide helped a lot much appreciated.
Awesome, can you also do a guide for the 6750 XT, or do you think I could apply the same settings for it?
You can indeed
I love how you dont have all those states on the 6000 series cards for max and min clock. Cant wait to buy one.
So much better uh?
Thanks a lot! I was getting worried Junction temps were constant 100-105 lately, and now they're 73-85 with same fps if not a couple more. Appreciate it man
💪💪

@@AncientGameplays I've been using SAM. I kind of short changed myself when I got 3200mhz ddr4 instead of 3600mhz, but I don't think i'll notice that much. Corsair vengeance rgb pro kit.
Next step is tweaking the cpu/ram.
I've been able so far to get stable with 1070mv, fast timings, 2519-2619
Thanks for the video!
I had the same, with an XFX QICK, I could only go down to 1100mV with stock clocks and be stable, set the min clock to 2200 or so and max to 2600. Atleast the RAM could go full 2150 with fast timings so I guess that's something.
You got decent results also :D
>Thanks for watching
@ceejay2k2 I have an R5 3600 and 6700XT. I also have the XFX - Speedster QICK319. I am at Memory 2150 with clock speeds of min and max 2750/2850 with a superposition 1080p extreme settings score of 7477. I am at stock 1200 voltage. So far no issues. I'm sure I could go higher but I think I am going to stick to this and run a computer stress test for the next few hours to see if my entire system is stable.
Hi! 2yrs later thx, I'll try it out on my 6750xt tonight for Starfield!
Thanks for the Tutorial its worth Gold!
Is that guide up to date or there are any new stuff that should be mentioned in tuning 6700xt ? In general very good guides, excelent videos ! Keep up the good work ! :)
Still the same yeah
Nice Video!
Managed to run my Sapphire Nitro+ at min 2550, max 2650 and voltage of 1050mV. Could go higher with the clock speed but then I would need to increase the voltage too much and my card gets warm/loud. I rather stay with my undervolting results :)
You did well

This video has helped me a lot to improve my performance on my graphics card. More fps and less temperature/consumption. Many thanks.
I wish all youtubers could explain things on this level.
Thank you
This video is a godsend. I’ve been searching for a proper OC video for this card for sometime. I have the XFX card and have tinkered with some of settings but never tried to undervolt it. I keep crashing in Horizon Zero Dawn after about 20 min in 1080p but it is more apparent at 1440p. I guess maybe undervolting may save me?
The crashing is usually low voltage or too high frequency (core or vram).
I believe the issue is the 21.4.1 drivers. I kept crashing and after watching your vid on reverting back to previous driver that worked. 0 crashes so far. I could prolly push the card even more ocing but im happy. I was freaking out thinking it was hardware lol.
Followed all of your steps. Works great in every game, with the exception of Division 2 which just crashes after about 5 minutes of play time. 1440p w/Ultra Settings
Nice, tweak it a bit

My 6700 XT is the MECH 2X 12GB OC model, and doesn't enable any increased power limit. How does this affect the level of overclocking/undervolting that my GPU is capable of? Really great video as well too :)
Hey, just try it and see, it seems that model is limited
Hi, I bought a Powercolor Fighter and with this video I solved the overheating problem, and with zero fps loss!! thank you!!

Thank you so much!! Possibly the best UV/OC guide for 6700 XT. I also have a reference 6700 XT and was able to get it stable at 2600MHz max boost at 1070mV. Below 1070mV I would get artifacts too. I kept my minimum frequency at 500MHz though.
Great! altough for maximum FPS in games you want to set a minimum of just 100MHz less :D

First, thanks Fabio for the video, it's amazing. I would like to ask for some help, from you or anyone here! I'm new to AMD GPUs, I got an RX6700XT rog and followed this guide, but I do encounter problems with the "fast timing" option, It just resets games and stability isn't there. Disabling it, makes everything runs stable. Will I lose a lot of performance without it? Maybe I'm failing somewhere else. Current build: Ryzen 5 5600X, MSI X570A MB. 16 ram. 650wcorsair PSU. Thanks in advance!
