Guys in no way do I think the buyer was a bad guy, this is just a good example on what to watch out for when making a sale and always go with your gut. Especially when buying or selling trucks and equipment it’s a dirty game with a lot of players!!

His stuff is junk. That truck is painted rust like all the rest. The buyer just wanted honesty about all the things wrong with it but Tim wanted to just sell it to a mug that doesn't know anything for as much as he could.

I'd like to see it, instead of he is saying he is broke and then buying another truck, blah blah. You don't know his finances, nor do you know what goes on in his life. $80k would be a steal of a price, its underpriced you know that. Any dealer likely would pay any price and mark it up 20-25k all day. I'd say hold on to it, you won't regret it. And you are the most honest youtuber and your friend FSC trucking is right up there too, you are both best of truckers on youtube. God bless.
@@kurtfoulke5130 Thats a new Hillbilly option. They put it on when the tow truck pulls it from the rear so the hood don't blow off. It's been towed so much, he just leaves it on all the time.

Good for you Tim for not selling the truck to that guy! He was figuring that you are desperate and would be able to chew you down as much as he could. It's a nice truck, and you know what she's worth. It sucks you drove all the way there and what it cost you in fuel and your time. Prayers for your uncle, hoping he gets good news from his doctor. I lost my mom in 2008 to pancreatic cancer, she only lived about 30 days after they diagnosed her. Praying all goes well for your family.
You absolutely did the right thing. And I think you showed your honesty by not selling what he claimed was a blown motor. You went with your gut, and that's always the right thing. My gut tells me, that they thought they could catch you in a hard spot, and take advantage with intentions on flipping it.
I think you did the right thing, Tim. If the deal doesn't feel right, it is better to walk away. Especially when the buyer is telling you that there's something major wrong with the truck that you know isn't true. Thanks for the video!

Now comes the Insurance/Credit shuffle, it's a good thing you got that new shop built last Summer.
A man's word is his bond, and according to both of you, you're both guilty of breaking your word.
The one thing that's a tad bit unusual, is that he brought a Certified Check, which usually means it's for the amount y'all agreed upon, I'm just saying that's unusual to go to the bank, get charged for the check, and then travel a long way, if that Check wasn't for the agreed upon amount..... 🤷

What's up Gentry and sons trucking?. Great video Tim, way to stay strong and positive, you will overcome and survive this challenge. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family especially uncle Ronnie and his health. Tim I am in construction and thinking about the shop and a quick fix to get you up and running. What about sea containers double stacked, a roof, back wall, and barn doors on the front. The lower sea cans could be a good place to lock up tools and parts. Something to think about for a quick fix. Stay safe out there my friend and keep the videos coming and always travel safely catch you on the next one.

I just wanted to tell you that you are my inspiration. I have worked extremely hard to build my business in the hotshot industry and had some great years but have alot of bad luck this past year. One thing I have learned from you is staying positive and humble. I may end up having to go back to working for someone but I will never give up on my goals of running my own transportation business. If you ever need anything just holler I am just across the KY line from you.
Prayers for Uncle Ronnie. I’m a firm believer everything happens for a reason and I think this bump in the road will make sense further down the road. You did the right thing backing out of that deal. Someone was trying to take advantage of you because of the situation you’re in. Them 12.7 Detroit’s are so underrated. I want to tell you guys my heart goes out to y'all your whole family uncle Ronnie everybody will be in my prayers I was going to go through and I pick up some merchandise but I'm a pretty big feller and yall don't normally carry my size in there if you ever decide that you going to carry some bigger sizes I wear a 6xlt and I'd buy one of your hoodies in a heartbeat and sport your name and logo. You're truly inspirational to a lot of people not just how you do your business but the way you interact with your son and you keep him involved in the business and you're always working with him to try to teach him and let him grow man that's awesome I have an 11 year old myself. I've watched every video that I could find from you guys from back when you started up to current, and I truly honestly enjoy watching the way that you work and treat people and go about your everyday business I have 100% faith in the fact that you will pick up and you will succeed even farther than you ever have before God bless you brother keep pushing
