It was honestly kind of sad to see how you guys reacted to basic things like handicap settings and the option to not have bonus stars, but at the same time it made me way more appreciative of the older titles. It really is unfortunate that Super Mario Party has had so many features cut from it. I'm very glad you gave this one a shot, though.

I asked for this game for Christmas, then I find out my favorite UA-cam channel uploaded a video. I really hope I get it now because this is the ultimate way to build hype.
MP 7 helped defined my freshman year of college, and this board was a favorite. This was fun to watch, and thankful for everyone who pitched in to Stumptmas to make this romp happen!
I'm sure others have mentioned it but the M at the end was the number of coins won during minigames. If Minigame star had come up as one of the 3 bonuses, Price would have won that. The other possible bonus stars were Shopping (Ash) and Running/Distance (Rik). I think (???) this was the first MP game that randomized the 3 bonus stars at the end.

15 turns × 4 players = 60 total turns

Personally, 8 is my favorite regarding nostalgia but Mario Party 4 is far superior in mini games and maps.
I agree with Mp 4 had the most superior maps but I know I played the others but honestly four is the only one I can remember
My favorite is 4, even though I never owned it. The graphic might have not been good but I think it had the better gaming selection
This version reminds of wii version with bowser being annoying.
You should play again and with partners (computer if you want) each level has its own way to play and there's so many games you have to at least try them all once
You guys gotta play MP3 and 5 as well. As for 7 being the best one? Never really heard that. The most favorite is 2 for the boards and the character designs and the mini games and 4 is usually consider the one that has the best mini games. My favorite is 3 because you can mess with your friends in many ways and in my opinion has 2 of the best board ever. Waluigi's island and Spiny Desert.

But why didn't you guys set the controls the right way in the emulator?
I setup the controllers to have the buttons physically in the correct location (ie: b button on the bottom, A on the right, X on the top, Y on the left). However Rik and Price kept getting confused because that did not match what our Xbox button labels. -Ash

It's funny how the guys complain the most, but never read anything that answers their complaints, or get pissy at commenters for pointing out what they essentially skip over

I haven't played mario party 7 but I have played 9 and I know that it's thought if as one of the bests.

People are giving Price a hard time for being salty, but to be fair: he was in the lead and had ALL his coins taken because one of the other players landed on a Bowser tile that should logically punish the players that lands on it... than he randomly gets one of his stars taken so that someone can pick it up... just him, despite there being another player with two stars as well (and this is why someone else got 2 stars from the last chest some time later)... than he loses all his coins AGAIN because someone landed on a Bowser tile (not some coins, not half, ALL).
The game is RNG, sure but I can TOTALLY understand his frustration, particularly the loss of one of his stars.
Sure, let's blame me for playing the game as intended even though you acknowledge that's it's purely RNG.
@@wichilea I think you misunderstood me: I am not blaming any of you - you just played the game and it just so happens that you were the one that landed on a Bowser tile. It's not your fault in any way because it was decided by a dice roll. I'm only pointing out that everyone got punished for it... in fact the only one that didn't was you the second time, but you've earned that since what was needed was to win/complete the minigame. This is how the game was designed, which you had no say in, so you're not at fault.
I am merely saying that - in my opinion - it's a poor design choice on Nintendo's part since I would assume the punishment should be for the player that steps on such a tile (kinda like the red tiles) and I do understand Price's frustration with it in this case since he didn't do anything - he just didn't win/complete the minigame. Seems kinda harsh to be punished that severely (same goes for Ash and Rik in that regard) for something you have so little control of.
Anyway I'm sorry if you thought I was being mean; that was the furthest thing on my mind.

Your attempt to backpeddle on your original comment was a good effort, but I am not convinced you understand the position you put me in by immediately singling me out for Prices frustration, not once. But twice.
@@wichilea it may have seemed that way and for that I do apologize. In all honesty I did not see it that way until you just now pointed that out (I'll try to edit the original comment in a moment). This was only the result of the fact that in both cases you were the one who landed on the Bowser... it's not like you are at fault for doing so nor that you're the reason for Price frustration. The usage of capital letters in my original post was only meant to highlight that it wasn't Price that activated the tile yet - arguably - he ended losing the most... since the post itself was meant to "defend" Price in a manner of speaking.
See I play a lot of board games, so I fully understand how frustrating it can be when you're being "punished" for something you have no control over. Because of this I do know how Price feels, at least to an extend.
Regardless I really had no ill-intention with that post, so I am sorry.

I absolutely get Price's frustration with Mario Party games. I like them and I keep playing them with people, but I have about as terrible luck as Price. I can usually kill it with the minigames, but that alone isn't enough, so I get just as salty and, you could say, petulant about the random nonsense. I also grew up with three older brothers, who'd exclude me a lot and tease me for basically anything, so I guess Mario Party type games just make me feel that young kid again who just wants to have fun with its brothers but is constantly rejected in some way.
So, Price, don't let comments get to you. I think it's absolutely legit to react the way you do. You are still so wholesome and I really appreciate you. You, in particular, have inspired me for the nearly two years I've known about stumpt to become more kind and forgiving to myself especially and to rid myself of toxic behaviours and mindsets more and more. I am much calmer with most stuff these days (though not Mario Party, but that's okay) and try to carry on the love and inclusivity without allowing myself to be shut down all the time.

Don't enable him. Yes emotions are valid, and it's healthy to express, but he's literally pouting, to the point the others are trying to carry on like it isn't happening and that is just not good.
Yes games can be frustrating, however that doesn't mean that behaviour is necessary for every video like this.
Also it’s important to remember that a lot of board games are RNG based or have at least a strong RNG element. Snakes and latters, completely auto plays. Parcheesi/sorry etc, mostly RNG etc. If you watch jas even when she was losing and had bad luck she just continued playing. It wasn’t the end all be all and that’s her attitude in a lot of games and I appreciate that about her. Do some mechanics suck? Yeah it’s not perfect, but it’s not terrible either. It’s about understanding that the game is a luck based game and skill only brings you a super minor advantage but it really doesn’t’ mean anything.That’s my problem with “prick” (price and rick) complaining for the whole video.

Yeah, agreed. Based purely on how I ranked the GameCube boards, 6 is my favorite on the console, while 7 is my least favorite. Don't get me wrong, I still like all 4, I just have my favorites.

Most recent one is worst one for sure all out Mario party’s I played (I played ds version in which I couldn’t beat first major boss without cheating and I played wii version) I much rather play fortune street.
