I recently sold to Carvana, they offered significantly more than anyone else, with very little inspection of my car. It was very easy. Based on that I'd never buy one from them.
I had the exact same experience. If I purchased a car from them the first thing I would do is take it to a reliable mechanic and have it checked out.
I sold them 3. I pocketed money off of a car we leased and sold to them before the lease was up.
Yes they are interested in making their share price go up and then when It happened the father and son criminal team that runs it cashed in, They sold their stocks sometimes criminals are pretty smart but Carvana will be going out of business but they made their money already. It was never about being a good company it was about how to increase their share price as soon as possible
Something happened to me, sold a car to them. Highest offer then everyone else. And I was surprised and thank God. Little inspection
Carvana offered me less for my two year old truck than the local dealer did when I had it in for oil change. I looked at same vehicles on their website and they were selling them for like $8 thousand more than they offered me. WTH? Two year old truck with 17K miles on it. :-/
My experience was different. It went smooth. They said my registration would take 30 days but it came in a week. Before Carvana I went to several dealerships and wasted 2-4 hours at each dealership. They kept putting BS fees and adding stuff I didnt ask for.
18 months ago I financed a car for my daughter through Carvanna. The original car was a 2018 Nissan Versa but was to small for her and used the 7 day return policy for a 2019 Nissan Versa. I paid a down payment and 3 months ahead. At the end of 30 days both cars, the 2018 and 2019 Nissans were on my leinholder accounts saying I owed for both vehicles. So I called Carvanna and explained the situation so they then cancelled the loan on the vehicle we did NOT keep....andddd the car we DID keep. It took 15 months to fix this process and meanwhile the registration expired and was told that the title was surrendered to the DMV in Tempe, Arizona and therefore the vehicle was not legal to drive for 7 months!!!! Finally this week did we get the title un surrendered and can now get it registered. This situation was sooooo exhausting!
This is sad 🤦🏿♂️ I worked for Carvana from 2020-2022 and these issues are regular on a day to day. I talked to escalated customers with these issues EVERY DAY. That statement on their website is arrogant AF which mirrors the leadership. The registration process is terrible and they don’t think they should be challenged about it. It’s bad.
I got fed up with my car dealer in GA when it took 5 months to get the tittle. I reported him to State licensing office and at least he got a $500 fine.
Carvana sells cars before they have the title in good order, while other similar carsellers make sure they have the properly assigned title before they sell their vehicles.
Just received my Honda earlier today and though my scheduled delivery date was pushed an extra day, I can say I was pleased with my purchase. Delivery driver was cool AF and made the whole delivery experience even better. I would definitely purchase another vehicle from Carvana.
I'm glad to hear of your great experience. Your car must have came with an optional TITLE. Most cars from them don't seem to have the title for some reason. I guess they usually buy stolen cars. Lol
I've purchased 3 cars from Carvana in the past 2 years and returned all 3 of them. I dare you to take it to a Honda dealer and have them to a complete inspection
@@Kyle-nr6nm most of these dealers don't inspect vehicles anymore
This goes to the widespread attitude among many large corporations: "We are above the law".
We live in the age of no accountability that started in the 90's.
@@bp39047 Actually it started in the 80's when corporations got Presidential permission do what the hell they wanted.
@@eddietucker3334 I saw this in the late 80's with corporations taken over with anti-US leaders after the previous pro-US leaders retired or were removed.
Of course, come on people, they are part of the elites.
Great coverage on this topic. I’ve heard numerous complaints on this particular business and you guys hammered it home. Terrific job.
A few years back I bought a car from them and called their customer service as my temporary registration was expiring within the week. Same thing where they weren’t going to be able to get my registration done by the temps expiration date and the reps asked me if I had another car to drive until I received it. I was pissed.
Thanks for all your hard work guys. I appreciate your research and news updates in the automotive industry. ☺️
We bought from Carvana, no hassle, no lies, no funny business, no crap. I paid exactly what they said which was too much and financed for an interest rate that was too high. Interestingly enough, I spent the 2 previous two Saturday's at 4 dealerships and 15 hours of my life being told "the car market is what it is" and they would have ripped me off just as badly. On Carvana I got to quietly pick the car I wanted and have it delivered to my door. It is low mileage in perfect condition. It came the day before my daughter's 16th birthday and she loves it. Normally I would agree with you but not in this market!
The biggest issue with Carvana is out of state cars where the title is coming from another state. Maybe your car title was instate.
@Account Manager I am no bot. I lived in Texas and my car came in from Georgia. Received plates 30 days later.
@@ronmiller7248 I live in Texas. The car came from Georgia. Plates came 30 days later.
@@santhoshla7215 Maybe I did, but based on my experience I would refer them to friends and family. This is definitely not the ideal situation, but salespeople are disgraceful right now and dealerships are ripping people off anyway so I took a chance and so far it's worked out.
My first car I bought with them in 2021 was perfect, paid off recently. Decided to trade in for a SUV. Car only showed 3 imperfections, and when I went to pick it up it was in much worse conditions. Even the guy at the vending machine office try to make up this bs about how you’ll see a few more things because stuff happens during transportation but they can fix it. Car had scratches real bad ones on the hood, huge scratches on the rear left door, paint chipping on edge of the door, 4 dings on the right side and a huge cosmetic defect on the right read fender. I told the guy, whoa this is way more than you guys has stated online. Had the nerve to tell me Carvana can fix it take it to a detailer and polish it. I told him, that’s not going to fix all those imperfections this needs serious paint work and ill be out of a car for days if thats the case plus the engine was making a strange noise when I push down on the gas. I told him right on the spot I didn’t feel comfortable driving that car off their lot and told him to put the plates back on my car and left. I would understand a few scratch but, when I saw scratches the length of charging cable which appeared to be white and deep on a black car I said no way.
FWIW....I have bought and sold a number of cars through Carvana and everything went perfectly. I can see potential problems though, so one must be careful.
I live in Illinois and went through the process of purchasing a vehicle from Carvana back in May. They let me know they would contact me within 48 hours to schedule delivery. Later that day I found out they had lost their license in IL for the first time. I immediately reached to ask if It was legal to buy a car living here or if there would be any delays. They assured me it was ok and just had to direct ship instead of picking up from their vending machines, or travel to KY to pick up. They strung me along for 3 weeks sending me emails that things were still on track until I finally got frustrated enough to call and demand answers. They told me after 3 weeks their underwriters hadn’t even reviewed my file and the car was still in California. I canceled my order and they almost seemed relieved they wouldn’t have to deal with my questions any more and pay to ship the car across the country (I only had to cover the $699 in my contract.) I ended up purchasing new from a the dealership and got a new Accord at MSRP. If you live in IL I would highly recommend steering clear!
I agree! We are in Illinois and husband bought a car from them 2 years ago, we found out this year after trying to get an emissions test done that we couldn’t because the truck has two different vin numbers🤣
Not to mention the condition of the cars when sold. I run a repair facility and their so called inspection sites if any are definitely in question. We fixed several for people that have just purchased them less than 10 days ago. This might make good content for one of my podcast episodes. 🤔
Definitely great advice, I sold them my car with all sorts of issues and they didn't even tested the car before put in in the truck...
The reason Carvona is having so many issues with titles is because it' can take months after a payoff is made to get the titles
and Carvona has hired people with little experience chasing titles from the finance companys or buy cars with counterfeit titles for vehicles stolen from car rental companies.
I was a dealership wholesaler and have purchased hundreds of vehicles and have had issues with criminals attempting to sell me a stolen rental with a counterfeit title and finance company sending me titles not assigned properly to the prior owner delaying the title for months.
Bottom line is Carvona has many locations throughout the country and many of their buyers and managers are incompetent when it comes to title management issues.
I sold a vehicle to carvana a couple of years ago. The guy who showed up and inspected it did not know how to use the push to start button. Based on that we won't be buying from them though we will accept their money.
I just rented and drove my first start stop vehicle, no reading, no tutorial (ok, the car tells you to hold the brake in the dash), but it's so easy.
@@bipbop3121 It's fine if that feature is new to you, the consumer. It's not okay if the feature is new to the inspection person. You are correct though. It is super easy!
@@sirblaney9009 The person that comes to your home is inspecting the vehicle to verify the condition of the vehicle. Just because someone doesn't know how to use a particular feature on your vehicle doesn't make them incompetent, it just means they are not familiar. The car does go through a mechanical inspection by a mechanic when it gets to the distro and receiving center. Geez!
@@reb1225 That's a fair point, but you only get one first impression. That impression felt like a red flag without the information that you have shared. Can't really blame the customer for being skeptical when they can only go off of what they see.
As a former dealer most wholesale cars sold are without an immediate title exchange. Sometimes the problem is that you can not get the title from the other selling dealer who is also waiting on the title from their customer trade, so the time line of acquiring the title keeps getting pushed back. I would always wait on the title because my reputation and bond was at stake, but this caused me to lose money because of inventory sitting for a month or longer. I have also seen some commentators say that they would not buy from Carvana due to them selling Caravana their cars which they knew had problems which Carvana did not inspect. Most of these cars get sold to dealers like myself who would invest the money to repair them properly. Yes, the quality of their used cars have gone down because they are trying to keep enough inventory. So I suspect they may now be selling cars they previously would reject for retail. I have purchased both retail and wholesale from them and never had a problem with titles, but the cars I purchased wholesale (from the commenters who sold them cars and admit their cars had issues) were junk that I had to get hauled off for scrap or take a loss on because of them having hidden undisclosed major problems which Carvana in turn did not disclose to me and that I would never want to pass off to my customers.
100% True!!!
Thanks for an actually helpful and informed post.
what kind of hidden major problems that you found, for example?
After following you guys I’ve only sold to carvana.
@YAA You didn't mention them owning Adessa auction services, one of the big 2 nationwide auto auction firms that typically supply dealers with rides when people don't trade in anything. It'd be interesting to hear your take on that.
This is the first I've heard about this issue! Thank you for letting me know! Pretty crazy stuff.
I live in Illinois and have never waited longer than 2-3 weeks for my title and get plates and registration from the dealer on the day I drove home.
My buying experience at Carvana was really great compared to the dealership bull crap one goes through in person. HOWEVER 90 days passed and still no registration. My temp registration had expired so I was driving a car around without tags. Had to call several times and they finally issued me a "New" Temp registration. Carvana blamed the DMV for the delay. I went to the DMV and their response was "Carvana does not know how to fill out the paperwork"
For other reasons I ended up selling the car back to Carvana shortly after I finally received the new registration & tags. What surprised me is they had me remove the new paid up tags when they picked the car up from me. For whatever their reason they make a new owner pay the full annual license fee when the car is later sold. I would think that paid up tags would be a positive selling point assuming the sale is in the same state. Will I go back to Carvana; maybe but will have to consider the downside.
As a lifelong resident of Chicago I am almost tempted to help Carvana out of spite. That’s how much I’ve grown to despise Illinois politicians in recent years. Haha!
Stop watching news buddy and it will cure your conditioning 🤦♂️
I recently sold my 2017 Toyota Camry SE to Carvana and they gave me $18,251 for it so I was happy. It was a little sketchy when I brought it to them because it was a unmarked location behind some rustic buildings. I thought they would have other cars to look at but it was just a few other vehicles that had been dropped off. The only thing that gave me confidence to believe it was legit was I saw a Carvana truck there with a pick up truck on it heading out.
How many miles did you have on the Camry when you sold it?
Thank you so much for this! And thanks to all the commenters. I was considering purchasing a car for my son and trading in a car he inherited from his grandmother with Carvana, but, now, No Way!
I agree they are too heavily inflated to buy. But they seem ok to sell to. Sold the truck to them a couple years ago. The process was smooth and they gave more than others were offering.
How about contacting Carvana to determine whether they would like to be a guest on your show? I would be interested in such a dialog.
Wow, was on the Carvana website today and the same EXACT message for Illinois came up for Michigan
Not all states are 'title states'. Some, very few, use Bills of Sale or other documents to show ownership. I am in AZ and bought a van from Carvana in 2021. The only hitch in our purchase was that Carvana required some editing of our titled trade-in that took too long and therefore I lost my first choice. Once that was straightened out the transaction was smooth as silk. In fact, while this issue was being fixed they put another attractive vehicle up and increased my trade-in vehicle by several thousand dollars. The van arrived as described and a day or two ahead of time so I have no complaints. I did get a temporary AZ title and the formal one a couple weeks later.
I am not doubting there have been people with issues but I greatly appreciated that I didn't have to visit the pirates at my local dealers and play their silly financial games. I was very pleased with the trade-in and purchase values and, overall, consider it the best car buying experience I've ever had (other than buying from a private party).
I recently bought a used Pilot for my wife and I looked at Carvana. Bottom line, they sell vehicles without maintenance records and vehicles that no one wants. Every Carfax I looked at on Carvana had little to no maintenance so I went to a local Honda dealership and bought one CPO.
Just started watching your videos and love the channel. I'm in the market for either a KIA Sorento or the Hyundai Santa Fe with the top trim on either. Are the "market adjustments" finally coming back towards MSRP? At one point they were almost $10K. Oh, and my brother bought a car from Carvana and had to return it based on the condition it was in at delivery. Never would buy from them.
You would be Insane buying eather vehicle.
Do yourself a favor and buy a Honda or Toyota but keep in mind that Hondas are better than Toyota these days, Hyundai products have engine failures on all the engines they make and Hyundai dose not stand behind their products after the warranty and you can expect a song and dance from Hyundai Dealerships service departments and end up with a big cost to replace the engine.
Prior to 2011 Hyundai products are fine after that Hyundais are crappie.
On used Hyundais the warranty is over at 65 thousand miles for the 2nd owner and not 100k if thay are even offering a 100k warranty on their new cars these day's.
Buyesr beware!!!
Instead manufacturers are just raising MSRPs. Why should the dealers get to steal all the money from consumers?
@@michaelhoward4020 thank god for these experts on the internet. Good information.
@@j10001 any dealership willing to sell at MSRP are fools. Especially on their hottest products. I’ve bought 3 Ford Bronco’s at MSRP from different Ford dealers around the Midwest and flipped them all for $5k-$17k profit. As well as 2 Corvette’s before the Vette market dipped and got volatile. I wish I could get a new C8 Z06 at MSRP, unfortunately no dealership is that dumb.
Carvana was referring to unnecessary fees in their message to Illinois residents, not titles and registrations. Carvana is not stupid. They know titles and registrations are something no one can get around.
I tried to buy a Mustang through Carvana and it was heavily modified and the suspension was so poorly setup it rode tougher than cement truck. To top it off it was a tuned car that didn’t come with a tuner so speedometer was off with the different tires, and when it arrived it was covered in overspray that was not disclosed, I returned that car the next day and haven’t been back in that site since.
I bought a 2014 Mustang GT
from Vroom.
Someone pulled out in front of me and it was totaled.
I now have a 2018 Mustang Gt, also from Vroom.
Never had any problems with either car , buying from them.
About 6 months ago, I wanted to get a price on what they would buy it for, just for the hell of it.
It has 31,000 miles and they offered to pay me a little more, than what I paid for it.
Not selling it though.

I have perfect credit and I did their "Pre Qualification" BS. Now my credit is in the 700s and they came back with rates in the 28% range! WTF?!?! Thank God it was a soft inquiry. I also net $80k per year and when asked why the rate was so high they provided me a NO ANSWER!
@@650tonyd a 700 score is not a perfect score. 700 means you have a good credit history but a thin file. Usually lack of account history, no previous autos, etc

I live in Illinois. Thanks for the head's up!
We wanted to buy a car from them few years ago. We reserved a car, during the process we asked if the car came with the charging cord, they said yes it has it. Then they said the car had to go through their inspection so it was delayed, while on the phone I asked them the to make sure the car came with the charging cord. They assured me the car had it. After delays and several calls the car finally came. First thing go check for is the charger… it was missing and to top it all, the car had a check engine light on. The delivery guy asked if I still wanted the car. We were trying them because we wanted an easy process and they proved to be a big headache.
Great Video! Thank You! I will stay away from this company.
I sold to Carvana in early February in CA. I just got a registration renewal for that vehicle from the state of CA. 6 months from sale and they still don't have the title transferred. Feel sorry for whoever bought the car.
My sister had a bad experience with them. She wanted to test drive a vehicle but they just couldn't get one out to her for some reason. After rescheduling three or four times she finally told them forget it.
In Wisconsin under the last governor a law passed says you don't get title if you have a loan or lease the company where you get the loan/lease from gets it. When I heard about it I was asking what happens if that company goes out of business and sure enough that recently happened to me I traded the vehicle I had a loan on and it was transferred to a collection lawyer, the dealer I was working with and I were trying to get a hold of someone from that office it ended up taking two weeks to respond because according to them i was current with my loan.
Recently bought a car from carvana in Illinois. It was delivered in 3 weeks and came with permanent plates and the registration in the glove box.
We purchased and traded in a car for and with Carvana when we lived in Ohio in 2019 and the car has been great mechanically and otherwise, no problems with paperwork thus far. BUT now we live in Florida and it pays off in under a year - Should be be worried about having problems at payoff due to the fact that we now live in Florida and all of their issues here.? We were able to get our plates and registration without any issues when we moved here in 2021, but now I’m nervous about problems at the the final payoff now being FL residents. 🤔 Love your channel and organization. Great stuff!
What does your state usually do when a lien is paid off? Most title states just issue a new title showing the lien has been satisfied, or you may get some sort of notice from the finance company showing the loan has been paid.
VROOM is doing the same thing. I purchased a Chevy Trax for a company vehicle in February 2022 and still waiting on the title. They have been paying for a rental car since the temporary registration expired and they can't extend the temporary registration.
I bought a car from Carvana and it went smoothly, but their issue arises because Carvana offers the car for sale as soon as they purchase a car to minimize holding cost and they sometimes sell the car before they get the title from the previous owner. If there is a title problem and they can’t actually get the title, then the new buyer gets screwed.
I made them fax me a copy of the title before I paid for the car to make sure they actually had the title and owned the vehicle they wear selling me, but most people don’t think to do this.
I tried to buy a car from Carmax and they did not have the title in hand and they would not sell it until the title was received. That’s the proper way to do it.
I've sold and bought two cars from Carvana...had a great experience, got my registration and title.. no issues.
What kind of car did you buy and what location? If you don't mind me asking.
Not all Illinois car dealers can get the title work done properly. I bought a brand new Nissan Maxima and found out the title work and registration was not done when I went to the DMV because I didn't get a license plate renewal form and the sticker was about to expire. I found out I had been driving my car for a year without it being registered. When I went to the dealer to find out what happened, they were out of business. Illinois and Nissan closed them for taking in trades and not paying them off. There goes my free lifetime car washes.
Sounds like the alarm before they go belly up!!!!
The problem is in how Carvana buys cars. They have a delivery driver pick up the car and these drivers are not Title Clerks, so titles end up being filled out incorrectly. This results in Carvana selling cars with defective titles, which means Carvana is still trying to sort out title issues when the car has already been sold to someone else. It's difficult to get a defective title fixed without the cooperation of the previous owner. What incentive does the previous owner have to cooperate if they already cashed the check?
Earlier I was looking at mini vans. And on the website I was on it doesn’t let you search new to old. So I had to do based on price to show newest. $60-70k at Carvana for a minivan that stickers new under 50k. I don’t think in minivan land that was ever a thing. Much less now
Worst experience of my life. They delivered a defective car, then wanted me to deal with some crappy third-party vendor to get it fixed. Sent it back in less than 24 hours. And they were a nightmare to deal with. Just stay away.
If you are a nightmare (which seems correct from your post here) they will be as well. If you sent the car back within 24 hours, then it couldn't have been too much of an issue. Just saying.
Our experience with Carvana was terrible. The delivery time was from 11am-2pm EST. 2pm passes, but we get no call, no notification, nothing. We call to follow up, and were told to wait another hour or so. Carvana would not give us a valid ETA on the late delivery. Calling this unprofessional and a lack of customer focus is an understatement. We would not recommend buying or selling a car from Carvana.
The beautiful thing about being a dealer in Georgia is that the state does not require the title in order for the dealer to get the customer a permanent tag and registration. Simply we just have to pay the ad valorem tax in our ETR account, and the customer then gets his or her registration and metal plates. Of course you still need to file the title paperwork to get titles made for the customers, but this set up in Georgia makes things a lot easier for the customer when dealers are waiting for titles. Regardless, as a good deal you should never sell a car until you have title in hand. That’s how a lot of dealers get into trouble.
Another thing, thank you for the laugh 😂 I really needed that.
also wondering and what exactly they have sold if not the title to the vehicle?
So if a person buys a car from carvana, wrecks the car and never receives the title, do they still owe on the note? Not legal advise, I know.
I live in Illinois. I just put in my zip code and the notice that you reference is no longer there. It does, have this verb-age, " Illinois we need your help" at the top of the page, then there is this after that " Learn more"
What I want to know is, what is Carvana talking about when they use the word "Antiquated" in describing the requirements??? Illinois titling system is outdated?
In banking - whether real estate or cars - titles were a huge pain. They are so poorly done here - really hap-hazard I think because, it deals with LONG TERM information and no standardized way to keep them current without risking messing it all up (not unlike the credit bureau's). People imagine a page like a job site - just update your personal information - but it is not like that, again because no one has truly converted "everything" to digital - it is just too much with so many parties. Banks will have "paper titles" as they used to keep them, even that can pop out of the wood work - so how to get the digital "all official and correct".
hello Ray and Zach. Ahh. I see it's those darn car titles that are giving Carvana fits. If you are going to sell cars that are legal to drive on regular streets, you need to give people the car titles they need for legal operation of the vehicle.
So in Ohio where I bought a car at a dealer the title went to the finance company, so if I bought from Carvana and finance in Ohio, I would not be expecting the title to come to me correct?.
Are we going to need title companies for auto sales like we do for homes?
I sold my junk vehicles to them & made a killing but they do not buy your leased vehicles as Vroom, Shift, Driveway & CarMax will. I sold my last vehicle to them POS Chevrolet Malibu with 67k & had bad transmission. After they brought it I followed it & ran Carfax on it monthly to see where it ended up & saw Carvana listed for sale on it 4x in different areas & it show them as second owner in Arizona which a dealer should not be. Then sold across the US in Washington & they got it back 3 weeks later & listed for sale again & finally auctioned. It is now on it's 4th owner in Oregon & has 70k on it & I was the first owner as I got as a lease & brought it from GM direct at the end of 3 years.
I'm from MI. Have bought used cars in Mi, Wi, & Colorado from used car dealers. In Mi & Co i got signed title by the previous owner, from the dealer got car, signed receipt from dealer and went to Mi sec of state and applied for new title, registration, plate.... From WI, i had to pay for a wisconsin title to be issued in my name, wait a few months for the state of Wisconsin to send me a title and the retitle in michigan. Wisconsin just wants the fees for an unnecessary title. no sales tax until I registered car in Michigan, tho.
I traded and bought from them. They offered me significantly more for my Genesis and I bought a Toyota Avalon. My (trusted)mechanic thought i paid way more than I did for this great car!
I read the Carvana plea as talking about "outdated paperwork" i.e; in this day and age you shouldn't need a paper title, is should be a digital document.
do you have to pay for your car in full at carvana idk
Carvana is advertising on FB for dealers to sell thru them now.

Will never buy a car from Carvana, my daughter just bought her first car from them. It was deliver on a Saturday. She drove it 30 miles and then the light came on for the Coolant. Took it to the mechanic on Monday. The Mechanic kept it troubleshooting it for 9 days and didn't find anything. This went passed their 7 day trial period and would not do anything since it was at the mechanic. My daughter got it back on Monday drove it Tuesday through Saturday and on Saturday the coolant light came back on. Took it back to the mechanic on a Monday. They have had it for over 14 days and now they state a head gasket is blown. They stated that Silver Rock (Sister Company of Carvana) stated that a refurbish engine would need to be replaced. I know how refurbished engines coming from a company and warranty company is BS. They will not return this vehicle they state they want to replace the vehicle and that the engine will be of lesser miles than the one is in there. How would they know that and really how do we know it is a validated thoroughly rebuilt engine. This company is a Used Car overpriced broken cars. While at the mechanic he just stated that another customer came in the day I stopped by that just got a car from Carvana and the ball joint was so bad they really shouldn't have let the guy leave but the guy needed the car. Now they are saying that they cannot get us a car from a rental company. I have told both Carvana and Silver Rock to give me another car or our money back!
Great informative video.
I had a 2015 Chevy Colorado from Carvana for the 5-day trial. There seemingly wasn’t an issue with the truck, however, the stories of the missing titles was just breaking, and the used market was way out of whack. They wanted $31K for it, with 55K miles on it (and I’m pretty sure MSRP for a non-souped up WT model was just within a few thousand dollars).
That’s when I started researching their process, and realized they scoop up cars, fully telling everyone that they are in fact, not “car people” , just that they’re people who hate the dealership experience.
While they came up with a more novel idea of “setting your terms” (you don’t-they’ve set the terms, you basically just sliding adjusters into what you’re willing to pay), they’re clearly just a scammy as the worst dealer you’d know.
Its very close my 2022 colorado wt new was 30,050
If you finance though carvana. You dont own the fucking car. Therefore you dont get the fucking title. You don't need a title to register a vehicle. You own the vehicle and get the title after you pay it off.
Looking forward to seeing Carvana go under. That "business" stank of techbro grift from the very beginning.
We got a vehicle from carvana. Worst experience we ever had. They lied over and over. Had us come down to pick the car up 3 times. Said it was in Arizona but found out it was in Illinois. Took to long for registration and plates. Lied about everything since day 1.
At this point if be afraid to sell to any of them. Probably the check you get will bounce.
DONT EVER EVER EVER buy a car from Carvana After 4 reschedules I had enough of there BS and I Canceled the car and it took me days to get that car ready for purchase and it was immediately removed from my account in seconds!! the biggest slap on the face you'd ever receive trying to buy a car like you'd receive better customer service at a Dealer! so SAD
Yea. They cannot title. Change ownership for S&it. Simple job. The only job after selling the car that important. They cannot get that right
I live in Illinois. Bought an i3 from Carvana. Smooth transaction!
Orlando I am so glad that you didn't have any issues, unfortunately many of your fellow Illinois citizens cannot make the same claim. All the best, Ray
I bought a Genesis from Carvana last year. We finally got the Title and license plate right at the 90 day deadline. Otherwise, it was a flawless process. We love the car and the shop from home ability.
Does this title thing affect new cars or only used cars?
The car mom is awesome you guys should have her on the channel!
So I recently moved to Florida for a new job and wanted to purchase a vehicle with better gas mileage due to the fact that my commute increased. I shopped around at local dealers here and quickly found out that since their fees aren’t regulated some of them were charging upwards of $6000 over their listing price on a used car which is absolutely egregious. I swore I would never go with Carvana but found a better deal with them and easily financed through my bank. I was super knit picky when the car was delivered and made a couple cosmic claims on the vehicle within the first 7 days of ownership. Without any pushback they agreed to payout almost $6000 to repaint the entire vehicle along with having a few things replaced on it. You can hustle Carvana on the post sale side of things just make sure you take care of any cosmetic concerns within the first 7 days. After that you have 90 days to rectify any mechanical concerns.
How did you manage the painting? What did you tell them. What was the problem. I bought a car from them and it’s being delivered in 18 hours and want to get my moneys worth out of the extra warranty I bought.
Must have made 5 transactions with Carvana in Los Angeles since they've been around and never had a single issue. I'm pleasantly surprised lol
Any issues with Driveway? A similar business model.
The only problem that I see is getting the title on a car Carvana has purchased. The seller has to take the proceeds from the sale, pay the car off, and is at the mercy of the lien holder to send the title. Then the seller has to send the title to Carvana. I’m not taking up for them, but some of it seems out of their control. I can see a huge paperwork cluster f.
Carvana offered me 19k for a truck they had listed on their own website with LESS options for 38k. I won't even bother with them anymore
Carvana was no fun when it came to paperwork when I bought my Volt in 2021, but it sure beat the nightmare I am still involved in with an AutoNation dealer in Orlando who misrepresented the vehicle in numerous ways and took the car back. However, the loan and down payments are still not completely cancelled/refunded and they took the car back on July 28. It's August 20. Corporate took 3 calls and 3 weeks for a call back (Aug 16). Brittany at corporate promised to get back to me within 48 hours, haven't heard word one since.
Of course, most everything in FL is underhanded.
WOW !! That sucks .
Carvana and AutoNation are the same company.
@@d.p.9567 WOW! I had no idea.
@@indycharlie yes, because I found another vehicle but my funds are all tied up and my credit score temporarily tanked! Maybe it's a wrench the Universe tossed in because prices may come down, but unlikely much for what I'm looking for.
@@d.p.9567 I couldn't find verification of that.
When I buy vehicles from the auction i only buy with the title attached light on meaning at the end of that day I get the title from that auction then I immediately put the title in my company name so when I sell said vehicle either wholesale or retail the title is ready to be transferred instead of having to wait on my check if I resell it at another auction.
That's NOT what they wrote. They wrote that the required paperwork is antiquated. They are correct. Here in VA you can sell a car and the title will be transferred electronically and held at the DMV. Once your lien is satisfied, your finance co sends notice to the DMV and they issue you a paper title. Requiring that Carvana has a in-person representative to walk into the DMV to file paperwork is ridicilous!
It took 9 months to get my title from carvana. Worst customer service ever. They should be shut down. I'm in Michigan.
This happens because company’s sell cars before having the title in hand because there is a hole in the market for cars like that
This is the first video of yours I've watched and I like the content.
I just wanna say, your dad could be a voice actor.
Buying a car from from carvana is like going through the drive through and getting a burger and when you get home and take it out of the bag you realize its been stomped flat, But you eat it anyway.
Our shop works on Carvana vehicles that are covered under their warranty. 99% of them are junk cars. I don’t see how they legally sell cars that don’t look like they even went through a inspection process. Ive seen mostly wrecked, flooded, and mechanical nightmares from Carvana. I would never get a car from them or any company like them. Also their warranty they sell sucks. They hardly pay modern diagnostic and repair shop rates. And authorization for repairs are a nightmare ! I wish we wouldn’t work on them. I see why we are one of the only shops that take in Carvana junk.
Would never by them , the interest rates are crazy .
