With the testing I did, I've found it works best when crushed up after it dries and mixed with stick mix. Let me know how it works for you and if you have any better ideas for it Brett.

I think this may be very similar to the Nash fizzing stick mix, I put a tea spoon in my PVA bag rugs and it works a treat. You are definitely gonna see more fish on the bank with your creation for sure

Might be a silly question... but is it 100% safe for the carp to eat this? Will the reaction that is producing all the co2 bubbles still be happening in the carps guts?

Solid question. The actual citric acid and baking soda dissolve quite rapidly, the reaction just pushes the flavour of your bait up into the water column quickly. I'd recommend only using a bit in each PVA Stick or Bag with the majority of the bait being crumbed boilies, stick mix, liquids or pellets. If one was to make a huge ball of just the fizz mix itself, it may last a few minutes, if a fish were to suck up some of the powder I bet it would dissolve before it was swallowed.

I suppose or I've heard of folks using alka seltzer and specific fizzing fishing baits but this way is a bit easier on the pocket book.
