    angelo, love your vids as a new graduate trying to build this path. This vid pertains to the theme of stoicism and anti fragility; being comfortable with uncomfortable. Thanks for the content, keep them coming!

    Excellent video Angelo, I agree with your points that modelling, white boarding, and facilitating are truly THE skills to have as a BA. It's all about effective communication. The sketching/visuals in this video are engaging and fun, what software do you use for this? Glad that I found your channel today!

      This was done on an iPad with a Bamboo Stylus using the Bamboo Notebook App (with the native Ipad screen recording capabilities).

      @@AngeloTheBA thanks for this video. came across your channel today and have started watching your video. I've got a mini iPad 2 but unsure if it's compatible with a stylus. What model of iPad did you use here?

      Yemmy Topey I’m using the 9.7 inch 2018 model. Not the pro, but it’s the first non-pro that’s also Apple Pencil compatible.

    I had an interview that asked about modeling from 3 different panelists, and i hav only ever done process modeling. All the others i only learned in babok and passed through in my IT deg so i never used others in a work environment.... these ppl looked at me like garbage for only referring to one type but i didnt want to lie and then i can't ups n jus do another with out researching or taking a long time.... im sure i failed that interview but im giving my self time to build my skills and confidence to start looking again basic questions stomp me in interviews so i definitely need to believe in the value i can add

      The best way to be confident about doing something is to practice doing it. Just model things to understand the value those models make. It can be silly things like how you decide what to wear or what to eat or it could be relative to systems you interact with like payment apps or doctor visits. You will be able to articulate yourself much more clearly when you have that deeper level of understanding.

    Hey I’m a 16 yr old student and I’m really trying to be a successful business man but idk where to start I was hoping if could tell me where I should start? For example should I go to university or should find a business related job right away

    • @AngeloTheBA
      @AngeloTheBA  4 роки тому +2

      A successful businessman is extremely vague. You can be successful by starting your own company, as a stock trader, as a real estate investor, or working for a business in a bunch of different roles. You don't have to go to university to start your own company, but you probably will for many of the jobs within a company. In any case, the more educated you are the better decisions you will be able to make whether that's through a university or your own research and reading. I would recommend staying in school because you'd have the opportunity to learn a little more about the world before picking a path.

    I stopped watching about 2 minutes in. I just wanted you to know why. None of the information up to that point was specifically related to being a BA. I felt no more informed on being a business analyst than I did two minutes before. I will check out a couple more videos but most people wouldn't. Might want to revise that strategy for future videos. Thanks!

      Thanks for your feedback and sorry the video didn't meet your expectations. I do mention at around 00:10 that the first skills are general skills to be a great anything (especially a business analyst). Also, here's what you missed though. At 02:15ish I talk specifically about dealing with difficult stakeholders, which is critical to success as a business analyst. At 05:10ish I reiterate that the first mention skills would be valuable to anybody in any job, and then go into the skills that are quite specific to business analysis.
