Hi Angelo, great videos! You have so easily mentioned the details around a BA professional. Thank you so much for it. I have worked for 8 years experience in IT in roles like various dept - Testing, Release management. and then took a break . I want to start afresh with BA role so I need your advice and guidance in this.
Your content is really useful and intellectual. I'm note taker BA(since last 2 year, now heading towards Technical BA) and wanted to jump (step by step) to become professor level BA. It's clear now, we need to understand client expectation based on that offer solutions.. Well, I need to practice tools. Can you please recommend me your video. Last question: Does IIBA certification course really help to groom our skills or self learning
My advice would be to get certified. Certification forces you to know everything that a BA should be capable of doing, so you can then focus further training on strengthing those points. My video around certification ua-cam.com/video/L8iFAwvdSwk/v-deo.html
Hi Angelo, Thanks for this video. I have a degree in mech engineering with an MBA in international business but zero IT background. What do I need to understand before going for a Business Analysis training. Also, will I be able to get along with a Business Analytics training owing to my zero IT knowledge. I have the basic knowledge of statistics.
Business analyst training won't be super technical. Honestly it's the training that will give you what you need to understand. It should be similar to my content, just organized as a cohesive course.
Hey Angelo, I have been a chartered Accountant for a number of years but want to venture into Financial Systems BA type role. What level of IT knowledge do I need? Also, BA technical tools do I need I.e Jira Agile or Visio for example? The goal is be able to work across BA cycle and support systems implementation within Finance.. help....
The key to business analysis isn't technical skills, it's communication and critical thinking. Start with these videos, then let me know if you have additional questions. Hi Angelo ,I have an undergraduate degree in bachelor of technology from tier 2 institute of India.I just want to study business analysis but confused as most of the companies now need business analytics people. Will studying business analysis and becoming a BA limit my career as current trend is in analytics, big data and all..
You should study want you want. A "trend" doesn't mean all other professions are getting canceled. I would aim for an area you can be passionate about, because you'll be better at it if you are passionate.
Business Analysis (analysis of business functions and process to solve problems) or Business Analytics (study of business data to find trends and help inform decisions)?

Do I need educational background in I.T. to get into the BA field? I'm a business admin graduate
Not necessarily. I work with many non-IT backround BAs
