it should be noted that at 2:00 to get the exact scramble, hold it with green facing you and white facing up. I believe that is the WCA competition scramble standard.

Tingman, I like your example of a cube with photos of different family members on each face. Assuming each of these images is distinctive, I'm curious to know how difficult it is to solve this "jigsaw cube" compared to a normal coloured cube.

9:24 Many of these are probably from the very first competitions which Erno Rubik hosted in the birthplace so there wasn't any other country to set a world record in.

The rubik's cube was called magic cube in the old days but actually, in Portugal it's still called magic cube in portuguese.
