When drilling Algs, look at the cube at the same time instead of just having the muscle memory, that way you can be more confident in recognising where you are at in the alg if you mess up or slow down. It also helps to learn it faster

I'm in the exact same situation as you, this video ended up being particularly useful for intermediate/semi-advanced solvers at around 15-20s and probably even lower.
I realised I am regripping each pair, and that I could probably do my cross faster, I might still be doing double-recognition during F2L.
Averaging 16-17s I knew some stuff as well, like I know 2-sided PLL recognition for example, still very helpful.

My biggest beginner mistake was not seeing if there is some other way to solve second layer other than beginners method... because F2L was actually easier for me to adapt to, I was making too many mistakes on second layer, but with F2L, it took a bit of getting used to but so much more intuitive for the way I view the cube in my mind...

The biggest Problem that I have is the weird Type of Progress. Im currently averaging 17 Seconds. Recently I was at 18-19 secs, Then I learned full OLL and some advanced f2l algs and I got slower, Made Many mistakes and even after ~2000 solves I still don't have everything I learned in my ultraproductive 2 Weeks completely in My muscle memory, and I still Need to practice so much.
I Just don't have the Motivation to learn Something, If I know that IT will only pay Off after Weeks of practicing, and will actually slow me down before that.

After about 3 weeks I've evened out, I might even be getting faster. Just saying, it IS worth it. If you feel like giving up, just take a break, or take it slowly. But carry on! It's worth the pain.

I used to own a Rubik's cube years ago. It was a hand-me-down, used and falling apart. It never turned well, and would come apart if it was turned with *just* a bit too much force. A young me, prone to angry outbursts, got frustrated at my inability to solve it, not knowing that someone had reassembled it due to it's flimsy construction. It likely was unsolvable, but I didn't know that and the cube eventually got lost, unsolved and forgotten about.
A couple weeks ago you popped up in my recommendations, and I spent my entire work break watching you solve the 21x21 cube.
Yesterday I placed an order for a QiYi Valk 3 Elite and a YJ MGC 4x4. A younger me gave up on being able to do these things. You've inspired me to pick up and try again. Thank you.

    I have a important tip
When ur starting out try ur best to be color neutral bcoz once u get used to white or yellow corss u won't be able to be color neutral unless months and months of practice

I agree about learning CN at first but the good thing is is that it's not TOO hard to learn. I was white cross only in December but on New Year's Eve started practicing yellow cross and mastered that in about a week. Then a few weeks later started learning green cross and only doing that for a few days. Then learned blue cross soon after. Did the same with orange and then red. Then started doing them all and was totally color neutral after. One of the best things I've learned, I get a good cross most solves now

I loved your video on trying to reduce a 4x4 into a 2x2 to solve it.... Could you do one where you reduce a 3x3 into a 1x1 and solve it?

Relearning finger tricks and F2L recognition, I'll do my best boss. I'll come back and update my progress, it's gonna be brain hurty, but thankyou for sharing, the idea is so simple yet so hard.
