3. Double sided adhesive tape

Thank you! I've taken the back off before to hook the speaker back up when it became disconnected on my brother and then he ended up breaking it. We just got a screen replacement and were giving it away as a gift, since we ended up upgrading his. Figured it would be easy but when i opened up again tonight i thought for sure i was going to have to remove all the screws and components. Glad i checked out this before doing anything

The home button fell off. This was not in the video!!! I put the home button back. I was so nervous I was going to break it. I did it and it works!! So thank you!!!

Thanks bro people be charging too much money for the repair. I just changed the screen on a Nintendo 2DS XL and my son's tablet's broke so I'm pretty sure I could change the glass on that I really appreciate it thank you

On another note, thank you for uploading your video. One must be very careful while taking these things apart and putting them back together. Next time, I am going to add a tempered glass screen protector to the new glass touch screen before installing it. This way, I can press down on the corners with slow even pressure and not crack what I just bought.

Ok . Here is a Like and subscription! I have got a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 SM-T595. I want to replace only the glass. Is it the same way as in this video? Or do i have to replace the whole LCD display?

Some of you might not believe this is true but it definitely is in tried this before watching the video and you can also do it another way and its easier
Some suggestions. Cover the front edge with packing tape to prevent the glass particles from going all over. For the black edged units, like mine, I cut a square piece of paper or light cardboard and cover the LCD area. Then I put it in the sun. The edge gets hot but it doesn’t bake the innards. Then I take a large break off razor knife that has the edge dulled to separate the glass. The glass comes off fairly easily and you can better Control the depth of the blade. The question is: what is the black goo that you use to reattach the glass to the digitizer?
How do you tell if it's hot enough?
Hesperus Vorpex I just did mine up here in San Francisco for two hours. Full sun, perpendicular to rays, and not real cold. Obviously a hotter sun will make this process much quicker. If your blade goes through the screen adhesive easily then it is enough. You can always put it out there longer to get it softer. Experimentation is OK-just don’t bake the LED screen. Use the protective cover For that section of the device.

Shouldn't the battery be removed before heating?
Nope. Otherwise any iPhone repair wouldn't be possible as you can't remove the battery without removing the screen first.

No. Just pay $22 for a two stage heat gun available at most hardware stores.
So I guess skip the part where we unhook the battery 🤷🏻♀️

You should only heat up the sides of the touchscreen cuz if you heat it coompletly you will probably end up with display damage

Now here comes the only negative criticism......You cannot apply slow even pressure to seal the backing of this product WITHOUT cracking the glass touch screen you just replaced. I now have to order another one to replace the one I just installed and cracked. Yes, I used a slow steady downward force on top of a terry cloth towel.

That’s not part of the screen that’s just a film that peels off when you want to use the tablet.

🔵 Well,...yuh really messed up just after 4:38 when yuh could have manipulated the tape from the bottom of the glass and kept it in one-piece! (So to speak),.... instead, yuh jus' RIPPED-it-off!!.........An made quite a bit of unnecessary trouble fer yourself as well didn't yuh?..... what was that all ABOUT anyway?.....
....Jus' wonder'n, cuz I've got an LG G Pad X 8.0 that got water under the glass and I've got to clean in between there, so I need to keep the glass (and tape) intact.
