I love the Xbox One as well. This console got me back into gaming. I used an external SSD for games on it for much fatter loading times. It was a good combo
It definitely helps with some games like Halo Infinite, which uses a lot of texture streaming, and the apps are a little snappier, but still doesn't help with any kind of framerate advantage. If your HDD has died (like mine did earlier this year with my Xbox One and Xbox One S) replacing them with a SSD is a no-brainer.
In which case the SSD helps with the frame rate, as this is processed by the Xbox One's CPU/APU. Not to mention that this depends on the developer. But in terms of loading, it definitely improves.
This Xbox One was so reliable and it always ran silent! My Series X stopped being silent when dust built up in it. After dust was removed it was silent again. So cool that you put a SSD in it as i feel Xbox One should of had it from the start.
@@brandonlee7382 The HDDs in the last generation of consoles really held the back in my opinion. I understand HDDs in 2013 since SSDs were not cheap like they are now, but come on, PS4 pro and One X still had HDDs...... horrible imo
I love this console as well! Still very solid! I have two of them, one matte and glossy. My matte one has disk issues. Need to get that fixed asap. I also have a Xbox One X, which has hdd issues, would be fantastic to upgrade to an ssd! Eventually I'll upgrade to SSDs on my Playstation 4 as well.
i just purchased an xbox one x, my xbox one s i loved dearly broke when i dropped it on accident moving stuff around, im loving my new xbox and its still getting all the support from devs, theres a select few that wont support anymore but its no big deal, ive been playing gtaiv with 60fps
I have a series X, One X & 3080/5800x3d/32gb3600mhz PC. I only have the consoles for my kid and occasional gaming on the couch. Before the Series X I replaced the HDD in the one X to a Patriot P210 SSD and it made a heck of a difference with loadings times & responsiveness. I used the One X since 2019 and have used it with an SSD for nearly 2 years. Only got the series X a few weeks ago and honestly there's not much difference unless playing a series optimised game with heavy graphics. The One X does amazing. I dont think the average gamer would notice a big difference, visually on 1 X optimised titles its hard to see any difference, it is smoother but graphically looks near identical. Going from any Xbox with HDD to series S or X then ofcourse you will see a greater difference. Amazing consoles none the less, not sure why they get so much hate!

I think my Xbox HDD isn't performing like it used to, because sometimes watchdogs 1 i recently played was freezing for like 2 to 5secs in-game, and Forza horizon 5 takes almost 5mins to load and the menus freeze when switch them fast. But it's not just the HDD, the whole console has become a bottleneck, I usually don't care about the low fps but in some fast games it can make you screw up. I'll just get a series s and retire my Xbox one and maybe use it rarely for discs.
I have a Series X with a external HDD and a lot of the time, my xbox one with a SSD load my game faster than the xbox series X when the game is on the external Hard drive
What’s crazy is how heavily Microsoft leaned into the Xbox One’s ability to be used as an HDMI passthrough for Cable TV boxes. Now Cable Providers just have apps similar to streaming services Lol. Also, if anyone is still paying for Cable TV these days what are you doing? Microsoft might’ve won this generation of the console wars if they omitted that part from manufacturing as well as software development. Don’t even get me started on the initial outrage over the console having to always be connected to the internet… But look at us now! That became the reality.
I don't think it's worth putting an SSD on a base Xbox One at least, not to the OG, that 1TB Samsung SSD is pretty nice for a SATA SSD and the OG Xbox One won't take full advantage of it specially cus it uses SATA II interface and it also quite underpowered, an Xbox One X takes better advantage with SATA III compatibility and it's way more powerful too.
its the perfect console when u want to play old legacy games on a really tight budged. U can buy it used for 30 bucks sometimes. Or 50 with a couple games and additonal stuff like multiple controllers. i play games like Halo, COD MW2 and COD Black Ops1 on my old xbox one and its totally fine. And i watch my blue-rays and DVDs on it. Its a good allrounder for literally no money. Im soon cleaning it, adding an SSD drive and doing a fan upgrade and maybe swap to water cooling to make it completely silent. and maybe soon an overclocking guide gets dropped which further helps performance. the OG xbox and the xbox one S already is able to be overclocked. So the OG one maybe soon too if someone figures it out.
@@Satori-Automotive That sounds pretty cool. The Xbox One is good to have as a budget console for 8th gen games and plays some of the older games too especially for the cost of 30. But Xbox One X's and Series S's can also be found for cheap. And the Xbox One at this point is pretty much an outdated console. Despite it looking like a VCR with a Power Brick. I don't think it has aged as well as the Xbox 360 and the OG Xbox. Hopefully the modding community can do something with it. Overclocking it with some emulators.

Yeah I used to use an external SSD which was great. Internal made the OS feel much responsive though.

awesome vid dude, yea i also really like the design of the OG XBONE . looks beefy and robust
The VCR model Xbox One great memories.
Just picked one up for 45 bucks working 1tb it runs great I play siege a lot and it still looks good
whats crazy is these systems are still supported with a lot of upcoming titles, cod still gets updates on it, this generation still going strong
Love how you have a hidden series x that you’re playing on
I installed a 2TB SSD on my Xbox one last year and it's the night and the day with this upgrade. I save about 30% sometime 50% of loading time
the best xbox design imo

I’ve had a xbone since 2014 Xmas since I was in kindergarten now I’m going into 10th grade with a series X
The xbox one x with sata 3 is the better way to go for this as you would benefit fully from the ssd to almost feel exactly like a series s even.
