Thanks that was a great run through I will now unbox.
It’s ‘mega bits’ not bytes. Bytes are more usually used for hard drives etc. Internet and wifi speeds are quoted in bits.
I think you have it wrong on both counts. He is in the West Country and therefore it’s mega bites…..have you seen the size of the pasties in that part of the world. Yes, I will see myself out.
@ westcountrytech super video and has helped me make my mind up on getting star link , however can you tell me where I can get the wall mounting bracket you used? The galvanised one
Thank you.
It’s an aerial type bracket. You can get it from any CCTV, aerial supplier. We call it Masting brackets.
West. Howdy?~ what a interesting sharing- 🤘
Thanks for the support!
So how much does the equipment cost plus how much per year or per month does it cost for the ISP and is it unlimited downloads
Hi. Currently in the uk it is £75 a month and £460 for hardware, not including the adaptors, which are around £40 each. Yes, unlimited downloads.
This does not include installation.
Great video , Would you recommend starlink for folks that dont have alot of options
100%. As a company we don’t get any trade pricing or commission from Starlink, so we are not incentivised to sell it, thus you know we would only support it if it is reliable.
It is very reliable, simple tech that gives very good speeds.
@@westcountrytech1779 thanks for reply
the end of the wire on dish`s side is removable
what is the mount you used? and where to buy it
Hi, if you are talking about the pole adaptor, the customer buys that direct from the Starlink store. If you are talking about the wall mount and pole, you can get those from any tv and aerial store.
The background music is very distracting (and pointless). and difficult to concentrate on. Otherwise great vid.
Rotiock
No need for the mood musak. I'm not shopping and have no wish for my brain to turn to mush.
Otherwise it's a useful video. Thank you!
May I ask, do you always have the consumer buy their own equipment? I'm a comms guy (miles from you, no competition) but fancy offering this as another bow in my quiver. Do you charge the consumer for the install or paid commission from SL?
You can’t get any commission and you can’t buy at trade. The dish is registered to the customer so the customer has to order them selves. We charge to install it only.
