how about when you're pushing out your last rep in bench press (the one that brings the gains) and some dude runs up and rips it out of your hands because he figured you were struggling and needed help as it was going up slow so was too heavy for you.
With fails videos going around is 3 things I noticed 1) far more ego lifters compared to when I trained in the 90's 2) no one knows how to do squats properly anymore 3) no one knows how to spot someone on squats
Shouldn't have to spot someone on squats. There is racks and safety bars for a reason, set it up properly then if you can't get it up just set it down on the safety bars and be perfectly fine, no squat fatalities if you are not stupid and squat outside the rack.
bless you for not censoring this, i thought ive seen compilations of gym fails... this flawlessly takes the cake. how the fuck do you dislocate your knee raising dumbells while laying down? I laughed so goddamn hard.
Videos like this are why I will forever preach low weight, high reps. The great George's St. Pierre once said "it's not about how much weight you can lift, but rather how many reps you can manage" stay safe out there yall
Watching this with my back jerked on the deadlift yesterday the first time in fifteen years of training. The first time I loaded too heavy weight after a break and did the movement with wrong technic))
Does that first guy learn anything about spotting from Justyn Vicky's squat tragedy?? I cringed myself to the max watching that, thinking the same thing would happen to that poor woman.
He had the barbell position down his back. His hands were also too close to his body requiring his wrists to be so far extended. Because of where the barbell is it applied too much force down the forearm. I would've guessed it would've snapped his wrist but it looks like he has wrist straps on.
My pet hate is people not putting plates back, dropping weights, screaming like a tennis player between reps and not cleaning sweat off implement’s . If people stayed clear of the above gyms would be safer and healthier for all.
The guy trying to "help" that squatter in the first clip is an absolute fool. You can kill someone by "helping" them up from a failing squat. The squatter was also at fault. No safeties for one on a heavy attempt, horrendous form for the other. The bar was literally moving forward. With proper form they could've bailed easily by dropping the bar behind. Edit: took a closer look and he copped a feel not just from the back, but also from the front. From the back might be excusable in the heat of the moment, but the front after she was already on the ground? Kinda messed up. That guy's savior complex made things way worse than they needed to be, and on top of that? Ugh. And this is coming from a guy.
Most of these are from squats or overhead press. Not going to do them anymore. Bench, deadlift and machines for me. PS: And if something looks dangerous, don't DO IT!
Still have never understood squating out side of a cage. I have had to sit 375 pounds down before and 225 pounds as well when reading what my body was telling me. I always to to set my safety suports 3 to 5 inches below bottom depth so all I need to do is bottom out and re rack
Well, if some of this stuff happens, it’s most likely because of cheap equipment. Benches breaking shouldn’t happen, pushing a rack over shouldn’t happen, bars bending so much shouldn’t happen.
The knee dislocation is why you keep your ASS on the bench. It's okay to have an arch in your back, but it should be done by holding your shoulders back and tightening your glutes.
Oh man the guy who dropped the weight on his neck/head 😮. More CrossFit gyms need to teach people how to drop the weight properly.. and stop people ego lifting

New fears unlocked, dislocating knee bench pressing?? and breaking your arm squatting??

why? I just wanted to help you do a drop set!!
Sure
That same weight would be their headstone.

What if you some lubricant and after you’re knocked out and wake up you have cream in your mouth and bum?
did not expect to see someone breaking his tibia and another breaking his arm in half. i feel sick. this video was brutal to watch but a good reminder
Some of those fails were deadly. I hope that they are able to heal.
How to convince yourself to never step inside a gym in 9 minutes and 45 seconds 😂

you should not spot squats. unless you have at least 3 people. A single person does nothing, use safety arms.

Great. Would be nice if you could pause the clips sometimes to hear you opinion. Cheers
They've got to teach how to fail properly, how to dump the weight or set it on the safety arms. That should be lesson 1

how did the big guy broke his forearm in half?!? or did his elbow got dislocated?
He didn't realize the bar sits on your shoulders, not your hands.

@@Vexxy197 That's for sure. A breaking bench would be my biggest fear in a home gym. Even if I cannot bench much weight.

He tore his acl BTW, not a knee dislocation, that's why it was braced because of a previous acl tear, he re-ruptured it.
@@Hugh__Jass okay...but keeping his ass planted on the bench would've taken the load off the knee, and he wouldn't have blown it out again.
