I know it looks bad but isn't a hyperextension a minor issue not requiring medical attention? I had a hyperextension in high school, (or at least that is what the gym teacher said it was) it hurt for a couple of weeks but seemed fine after that.
Honestly what I've learned from sports, as well as working out, learning how to fail properly is just as important as learning proper form. If you're about to faint or feel like you're about to, don't try to walk it off just drop down and roll back or to your side. It terrifies me every time I see some people try and walk off and just flop.

The tall six pack guy was the one punching harder than all the other guys there and that girl took so many like a champ. I think she had the most balls there to be honest. Mad props
It's why I mostly just stick to cables and machines and some dumbbells for arms. But I can understand if someone does it because they want to compete in some weight lifting sport or just love those lifts. But if building muscle and staying fit is your only goal then doing these risky lifts makes little sense.

I may give it another chance since I can't do back squats anymore due to arm mobility and possible lower back issue. No idea what RDL is
