Great roundup. The Twiist and Niia seem pretty interesting to me. My current questions are these: 1) Why can't CGMs and infusion/pods simply be pressed on? Why do they need the applicators? Is it because of the plastic canulas? 2) Is it possible that pumps might move to something besides U100 insulin? Something more concentrated?
Always a great vid. Thanks for this update. I'm a 65 yr old Type 1 for 62 years - Medtronic 780g pump user with the CGM. Looking forward to a "better" CGM as I have had multiple issues with their CGM. Medtronics customer service has been fantastic for my needs. The whole pump & CGM experience took some time for me to jump on board . It has improved my A1C . The burst of new inventions will still be baby steps for me but always excited for any improvements on size, duration, COST & comfort. 🤔
The "big blue brick" pump was the first pump I ever wore. the advances today is amazing. we use to have to use a screw driver to adjust our single basal rate when we wanted it changed, it delivered basal insulin once per hour, and you had to hold the bolus button down till you got the bolus you wanted, and you had to plug it in every night into the wall as you slept with it to recharge the battery
Thanks for your channel. It’s great to see what’s coming up. I know I’m probably banging my head against a wall with this but… when you talk to the manufacturers of CGMs, I implore you to make sure they know that we know how much they are scamming us by requiring full sensor body (with all the electronics) replacement every time and not just a replacement of the active component. The price should be one tenth what it is at the moment for most of the replacements.
@ the only part that only lasts 14 (for libre) days is the small part that has rheumatoid arthritis cannula and enzymes. The rest should last months, or longer if they were to make them rechargeable.
As someone who is not diabetic but who watches your channel regardless I am also watching out for the next best thing in Diabetes technology. I look at it as a preemptive/proactive approach so that if the inevitable does happen the stress would be about the fact of dealing with it but not about wondering what to do. I have my eye on the Tandem’s Sigi pump
I hope all this will help bring down the prices of necessary medical stuff for people with diabetes and make it more widely available, because cgm and pump are still expensive if not available in some countries specially in south-east asia.
If they make the ring cheaper to buy, I wouldn’t mind paying for the subscription but one or the other has to be cheaper. You buy a ring but can’t own it makes it less desirable..
I rejected all swift sugar and cut all carbs food almost totaly. Now I do not use insulin and don't eat any tablets now. My blood sugar is in normal now.
Thank you so much for doing all these videos. I am not a diabetic yet but will be soon. I am absolutely terrified and it all looks so confusing. Watching videos helps a bit.

check out more on the Niia - its designed to be pressed on, no applicator. Same with the Luna overnight pump - I recently had them on my podcast.

$400 price tag is too much upfront for the aura ring
Nice, thank you for this roundup!
Glad you like it!

Wowwwww I’d love to hear more, maybe have you on the show to talk about it. Can you reach out to me via email at DiabetechJustin at gmail dot com!?

I want to hear more about Sigi myself!
Great and thanks. Nice to live today and not 30 years sgo
I plan to test out using the Dexcom Stelo in the new year
Please let us know more about Niia😊
I would love to see more about the twiist pump.
Where is the eversense interview link?
I’d like to see more info on Eversense 365. I would like to have Eversense paired with a pump.
I can make an explainer video!
Awesome
What’s that clock thing in the background that shows what looks like your glucose levels?
Sugar pixel! Link in bio :)
@diabe_tech thank you!

I hope so too!
When’s Omnipod 6 coming out
The nia looks interesting also.
For me, the breaking news was that you are back on DYI loop. I would be interested in knowing has changed/improved since you last used it.
check out my blog post on DIY Loop vs Omnipod 5 (3 months after using it) - on my blog diabetech.beehiiv.com !!
eversense 365 👍🏽💪🏽
I’m not spending $400 on a mood ring. Most watches already do everything that it does, and a good amount of them are cheaper.
😂😂
I am very interested in this twiist pump and the future upgrated devices of this company
Do you know when it will be released in Germany/ Europe?

More info about Twiist . . . When??
The only thing I wish Omni pod would do, is make there device more affordable !
I feel ya!
Eversense🎉
Medtronic CGM are Brutally Painful to insert and cumbersome also
I rejected all swift sugar and cut all carbs food almost totaly. Now I do not use insulin and don't eat any tablets now. My blood sugar is in normal now.
lucky you type-2 diabetic
@Universe_Stormer
I eat some cookies or else just before I go to walk hour or two.

glad they are helpful for you!
At least mention NNC2215. I know its not technology, but it is just so so big you know
Will be talking about research advancements in a separate video :)
Of course the companies that benefit and get money from CGM companies are going to say that everyone should wear CGMs. Look how much money they make v
Why not report on things like this? What could be more "techy" - ua-cam.com/video/lVTS_J7Xmxs/v-deo.htmlsi=i4BbpsZXmxCrTXuI
thanks for sharing this! Got a "breakthroughs" episode coming!
Super interesting video! I wonder when they are starting the clinical trials.
