Thanks for attending these conferences and providing reporting from a patient perspective! Fascinating that someone has figured out how to produce a small form factor CGM with a re-chargeable transmitter.

I have type 1.5D and have been on a CBD for 2 years. It has helped me make better food choices, make changes in insulin type and amount, and to get better medicine to help get my highs and lows under control. Last 120 day time in range has been 80%!

As a Deaf person with Type 1 Diabetes, I’m interested in learning more about the accessibility features of diabetes insulin pumps, particularly in comparison to the flashing alerts offered by Decom.

I have an entire episode about accessibility as it pertains to people who have low vision or are blind. I love the idea of an episode for those who are deaf or heart of hearing. I have spoken about a cool product called sugar pixel on my channel, which you could consider For nighttime. It comes with a vibrating alert puck. The link to sugar pixel is in all of my video descriptions!

Thanks for your motivation to learn and share. I have used many different pumps since 1984. I am T1D now just 6 months shy of sixty years. I would be happy to share my experience but I don’t have any social media accounts nor really care for any. I have a hard enough time trying to keep my busy schedule with appointments and volunteer work I do. I really enjoy your channel and enthusiasm! Keep up the great work you are doing!

Thank you for reporting on the type 2 diabetes content too! There's a lot of us out there, but most of the news on the internet that talks about diabetes is either for/about type 1, or if it's type 2 related it's not developments, it's "how pervasive it is", or "people need to eat less sugar/carbs/whatnot" - not very positive messages! The stigma is really annoying and it's so easy to get caught up in.
I'm a huge fan of CGMs for us type 2s - it really helped me adjust my diet and exercise right after diagnosis, and I'm not decreasing my metformin and using my CGM to monitor my TIR to ensure that I'm still compliant while reducing my side effects - something that would be harder to measure in the short term w/o a CGM monitoring my numbers! I'm also hoping with easier access to CGMs that more prediabetics use them to avoid getting full T2D - some of them can avoid it, and others can at least put it off.

Great updates! Excited for that reusable transmitter CGM. While I love the form factor of the G7, I do miss the reusability of the G6. Anything to reduce waste!

Great Video. Really internested in the dual hormone pump because a lot of people are worried about Euglycemic diabetic ketoacidosis when the current generation of HCL suspend insulin due to low blood sugar so having the glucagon may solve that issue. Dedoc is great I got to go to The Diabetes UK Professional Conference this year through Dedoc and it's so good. Great paying it forward on this video. 🙂

Thank you for sharing the CGM study results, now maybe docs will recommend them more. I was surprised to see so many sick T2s in the hospital who didn't have CGMs and relied on finger sticks only.

    Thanks - interesting info:
I think the algo you discuss at 10:50 is not that obvious: it depends on the injection site and especially movement and also temperature (e.g. a hot bath). Massaging the injection site will diffuse insulin faster through the body.

Thanks for sharing the CGM for T2s study results! Not only should newly diagnosed T2s get prescribed CGMs, I believe they should be used for many who are called pre-diabetic. I am convinced that if I had the feedback I get now from my CGM back then, I might have avoided becoming diabetic.

I’m not too into the hormonal pumps but the all in one pump & cgm is cool!

I'm using diabeloop dblg1, it's better than medtronic but I still think it can be improved a lot, especially with respect to user interactions (I work in IT/software development myself). For instance: if you wish to change your basal profile, you first have to switch the pump off, and then you have to delete all entries after the time period you wish to change. It is not possible to edit a single value without deleting everything else that follows.
The time axis of the graphs shows are simply wrong when scrolling. Activity feature will nag you constantly if you're below about 6 with slight downward trend. The only way to get rid of it to tell you took 1g of carbs. The stupid thing is that if you declare a 10 g snack later on, it will inject insulin. As it it has 2 brains that don't know what each of them wants.
If the pump had open sourced API's, I would run it on my iphone and use the activity monitor to integrate in an algorithm, and I would definitely declare anything above 8 mmol/dl as too high. Sadly dblg1 takes his time to lower glucose level from above 10 to under 6.

Excited about the CGM that is reusable. I dislike having to throw away the whole dexcom each time, seems like a waste, though because of the use i can see why recycling is not an option.
It's too bad that the company has the Blackrock ESG cancer.
