    Thank you Aimee for the video! I tried this twice, first time too flat and second time too much air, but they still taste great even if they don’t look perfect! Recognizing the perfect batter texture is really an art, thank you for providing all the tips! Hoping third time will give me the right results. I added pandan extract to the shell to give more flavor, and added a lime curd filling to make this less sweet.

    And will that effect the texture on the macarons or taste without nuts

    I’ve never made macaroons before and can’t wait to try this. Would you mind sharing some other flavor combinations with the filling Ingredient ratios? Your recipes are the best and so detailed and much appreciated!

      You’re welcome. It’s not too hard to make just requires a little more detail. Is there a particular flavor your are interested in? You can message me 😉

      Aimee's Cooking This is so awesome! I’d love a basic vanilla filling or a green tea matcha. Something that does not require too many ingredients and easy to make? I understand that the macaron is one flavor (and it’s gel coloring) and the flavors come from filling? TIA!

    Hi aimee! Thank you for this video! Have you use a kitchen aid mixer to make the macarons? Does it give the same results? Mine’s was hallow. Thanks.

      Yes, it’s fine. Just have to know when to stop whipping.

    I tried making macaron but it didn't turn out with feet. Taste was good but couldn't get it to look like "macarons".

      Give it a another try. As long as you whip a thick meringue and let the shells dry. There will be feet 😉

    Your macarons look so professional, Aimee! You should totally open a bakery because I hear macarons are finicky and the fact you've mastered them means you are all that and a bag of chips. LOL! If I remember correctly, the sign of a great macaron is the feet and it looks like you got that right. Volume is still low for me, BTW.

      I have a vanilla buttercream recipe - 250 mg butter, 125 mg powdered sugar

      Aimee's Cooking. Thank you, so I just mix those two ingredients, together with that all??

    • @AimeesCooking
      @AimeesCooking  4 роки тому

      Whip the butter until light and fluffy. Then add the sugar. Continue to whip it till all the sugars dissolved and it doesn’t feel and taste grainy. Then add a little bit of vanilla. Now one final whip until everything is mixed and done. 😉

    Thanks Aimee for your detailed video. I must have watched it more than 10 times, Unfortunately mine came out cracked a little bit and have no feet. May be I didnt beat the egg white long enough. Appreciate your expertise advise ! I will certainly try again. It’s very challenging and fun!

      How was the consistency of the batter? Sounds like maybe it needed to be a little drier before baking.

    Hi Aimee. I want to know how sweet is this? I have never made this before.

    • @AimeesCooking
      @AimeesCooking  4 роки тому

      This recipe is not too sweet. If you have tried my sweets recipes before you will know I tend to make them less sweet. You can also add a filling that’s less sweet to balance it out. The strawberry jam I used has some sourness to it so it works perfect together.

    Hi Aimee. I used gel color but the color look faded most of the time. I tried 295 for 15 minutes. I tried to lower the temperature or the baking time, the color came out nicer but they come out a bit under baked (sticking base even thought let cool). Could never achieve the vibrant color that you have with your Macarons.

    • @AimeesCooking
      @AimeesCooking  4 роки тому

      You have to double or even triple the amount of food gel. The color of the batter will look like a lot but no worries, some will fade when baked. So again, you need to add a lot more.

      Thank you. I tried your recipes last night. Just a few came out with shells got collapsed. But most came out beautiful with high feet, my daughter love them very much. Thank you for the detailed instruction. 👍

    • @AimeesCooking

      Taller feet tends to be hollow, but if you like, you can adjust the temp up some 🙂
