@@youngcalimigga I didn’t have anything else to compare it to at the time. I went a t sat on another after having my GSXR 1000 and it did feel a little on the small side.
It's an Entry Level Sportsbike :) R3 --> R6 -->R1-->R1m :D
Beginners Need to/Have to/Should2/Mandatory2 Stick to 2nd hand dirtbikes/dual-sport bikes. Eg.
Yamaha TW200
Honda XR190
Kawasaki KLX150
Suzuki DR200
Once you've learned how to ride one of those then I would say look to get either a bigger dualsport(WR250R/CRF250L etc)
or look at a Duke 390 - R3 - Ninja400 - CBR500R

I actually came across this revieew a couple of months ago when I was shopping for my first bike and it just cemented how much I wanted an R3. Just one problem: I'm 6'5"! I went to 3 different dealers and sat on 4 different R3's and one MT03, and there was no way around it - it was just far too small for me. It actually felt more cramped than the Grom they had at my training course weirdly.
I tried a Ninja 250, 300, 400, and they fit a bit better, but the insurance was just a pill I couldn't swallow on those - aparently around me nobody has ever bought a ninja and not wrecked it lol. The RC390 was out just because... well I didn't like how it looked and I was scared of gremlins.
Whilst sitting on a CBR300R, I decided to sit on a CBR500R they also had at the dealer on a whim and it was the best fit of any learner bike by far. Waited 3 weeks for Honda to have a "come and try" day (only way a newb was getting a ride-before-you-buy here) and loved it. Best part: My super clean 8000KM CBR500R was slightly cheaper than any 16000KM R3 I saw and the insurance was less too!
Wish the R3 was a possibility but I guess I'll just have to wait until I can try an R6 in a couple of years lol

Dissagree - from my point of view the best begginer bike (new one) is Kawa x 300 - more comfortable ridding, better traveling with luggage and passenger. Better position of body for begginers and for everyday and long rides ! :) You can also go to some small offroad! ;)

Updated bran new R3 looks so much better than the last iteration.
If you don't mind spending 5K USD then yes it does look more modern.
@@TURBOTWINKIE I'm about 200 pound or more with gear on. 300cc just doesn't do it for me. I've tasted the addictive properties of big torque and power and it's hard to go back to less than 75 hp.

R3 is slow when compared to its brother R1 which is obvious given the fact that the latter packs a much larger engine, but it is not slow

the engine is small which is good because it prevents u from killing yourself🤣🤣🤣this is the exact reason i bought my R3 and i love it to the fullest

I’m 16 and looking for a good beginner bike and I’m stuck between the r3 and the ninja 300. Any advice or different options would be greatly appreciate !
best advice: test ride both, then choose which you like most.
They are both great bikes. Ninja 300 has a little faster top speed and better fuel range. R3 is lighter, changes direction a little better, and has a much wider powerband than the Ninja which doesn't really wake up until it's near the redline. I've owned my R3 for 3 years but I'd recommend either of them as a first bike. If you are over 6'2 or 220lbs I'd recommend a cbr500 or a 650 class bike. The R3 and Ninja 300 will do highway work but their sweet spot is around 70 mph - after that their overtaking power declines noticeably - especially so if you are above 4th gear.

Well 50hp to 150hp is a big jump idk what you meant by that lol 600s are 50lbs heavier which you will feel if you get into a sticky situation

@@Braselton21 I agree. I own both at the moment. However they are both beginners friendly(ish) motorcycles. Naked vs fairings. 300s vs 650s. Yamaha vs yamaha. Sports vs standard. Yet somewhat close on the price.
How much is that Tail light? My Yamaha Sniper 150 has the same taillight but the center has light.
If i say truly then I WILL SAY R15 IS MORE ATTRACTIVE LOOKING THAN R3

lol. I got a CBR500R so am very biased, but yeah, I tried so hard to fit on an R3 but I was just too cramped. The ninja fit okay and felt far more sporty than the CBR (to sit on lol), but it has, without question the worst insurance rating of any leaner bike where I live. whichever gen I put into insurance quote sites, they freaked out ( a ninja 300 came in just shy of twice a cbr300r on one website). the CBR might be more of a sports tourer than a sports bike, but I have no regrets... other than not fitting on an R3 lol

It is cheaper to upgrade the n400 suspension vs trying to squeeze more power out of the r3
