I dislike sidecar holsters and always carry my spare mag in my pocket with a neomag or reload wrap. Or use the reload wrap iwb or a soft foam iwb mag carrier. I edc the M&P 2.0 4.6 10mm with a light and a mailbox optic so it’s a behemoth. I do use a foam wedge but my holster is from a local guy who makes custom holsters.
Nice, yeah I carried my 3.8 10mm with a sidecar Crossbreed and it was too much. I'd carry the spare mag with a 10mm somewhere else as well. Shout out your local holster maker if you don't mind, I'm always interested in good personal recommendations.
@@LWRoad Centermass concealment. He has great customer service and will make any modifications he’s able to if you ask. Best pricing around by far and often runs discounts.
When I train AIWB, I keep my thumb hovering towards the backplate (floating upwards) to get a positive master grip and then wrap it around when the gun is completely out and going towards the target. A really Gun gun belt helps greatly as well. Thanks for sharing.
Tier 1 is the gold standard of concealed carry holsters. I have 1 axis slim and 4 axis elites and I’ll never stray to another holster manufacturer again. I wasted lots of money before I found out about Tier 1. I’m convinced that people that say they got one and hated it never messed around with the adjustments to fit it to their body.
Thanks for the video. Question; I carried a pistol on my backpack in a kydex holster and had the retention adjusted nicely. Got hit with a lot of snow and cold weather. I could not pull the pistol out of the holster. I'm assuming it is because the cold weather made the kydex contract or shrink. What do you think. Later i got the gun out of the holster.
I’ve not experienced cold affecting the form of the holster enough to contract it. Kydex from 25 or 30 below and lower will become brittle enough that they’re not as impact resistant anymore. But they don’t contract to affect retention one way or the other as far as I know. Strange that yours did. I wonder if you could try to replicate it during the next cold snap PS. Unless some water got in and formed ice?

Agreed, I echo all of your sentiments expressed here.

@@LWRoad yes i was in a lot of snow and it probably froze around the gun in some way. Thanks for your thoughts.

Does this holdster work for the Springfield XDM-Elite 10mm? with a light?
Excellent looking piece of kit especially with the AK weather. 🎩♠️🎯🎱🏁🇺🇲🇮🇱🇺🇦🔱🌻🏵️💮🌸🌼🌺🏴☠️🏹
Thanks @ratagris21, I’m working together with @reconnoiterer to get a full kit together. Work in progress. Hope you had a good weekend
How does aiwb work for us guys that have "muffins" that expanded to full blown cakes (like me)???
I think that’s where those larger wedges come into play, although I’m sure they have a limit
I love your content but today I'm traumatized by all the terrible white stuff on the ground 😳
Right?!!! And 2-4 more inches overnight ugh
