i keep seeing the word pigeon and hope they mean quail. i understand diff. tastes and all that there's livestock people view as pets in the west, where people in asia after 5000 years of learning to eat what you got before someone else does. we're soft in the west and north america chiefly in my view. but eating mr.ed(a horse) is what the french are about, fogs and other god awful stuff where i eat little nemo (fish), ms. piggy(pig of course) and think it's normal. i just hope they didn't scoop it from the sidewalk.
There are many different kinds of pigeons. In Europe, they are considered game birds, much like wild turkey in the US. The ones used in French cooking, for instance, are domestic, farm-raised pigeons. A young pigeon is called a squab.

saw a youtube video where 2 asian men were just feeding the birds. must of been 100 plus of them then suddenly comes net up scooping them and they were gone like that.@@athenastewart9167
