- Gu Shengnan, after suffering the double blow of broken love and unemployment, she waits for the prince riding a white horse to rescue her. Watching him lose his mind with jealousy and following her around with the assistant is the funniest, most satisfying thing to watch

It takes a strongwilled woman who is not infatuated to the stage of losing control over their brain to open his eyes.
It is sweet, in an incredibly sad way. She has got him tied up in knots.

Gu does an excellent job playing hard to get. Lu is the only one who doesn't recognise he is in love with her. Everyone else including Gu, sees it. lol.
Fussy Lu and Secretary were absolutely hilarious this episode. Secretary definitely needs a raise. I freaking lost it when he picked up the cotton candy off the floor and mentioned the 3 second rule. 🤣🤣🤣

The level of struggle he has with admitting his feelings would be impressive if it weren't so awkward and painful to watch. When she walked away after calling Ziqian "Brother", his expression reminded me of those anime moments when the character is just standing there and their soul comedically leaves their body.
I was not sure what I was expecting when starting this series but damn this is hilarious! 😂 Usually the ML is not this funny, always severe but I love how the writer and the actor made this character come to life.
This episode is priceless and hilarious! I really loved the entire drama.

When he said the following words “don’t be hostile” to a young woman who’s a chef in her own way, that’s like waving a red flag in front of a raging bull. Never say those words if you can’t defend her against those who criticize the food just because it wasn’t by the book.

He got it with Gu Shengnan from her cooking, he understands the messages in the food. He doesn't get it from human interaction, and Li Man should have known that. Especially after having known him for 10 years.

Ich könnte mir denken, das er auch deshalb so lange zögert sich seine Gefühle einzugestehen. Aber gegen seine Gefühle kommt er nicht an😅 sieht man ja daran, wie eifersüchtig er wird 😆

i absolutely do not regret starting this series. both of the actors' (lusi and lin yushen) acting are amazing and top tier. the comedy and the angst are just right. i love they were casted in this together. this is surely an underrated gem.
The “look” that Lu Jin gave to his assistant was golden. That look means laugh again and see if you still have a job after this.

All comments aside, I think the production chose the best actor for this role as Lu Jin and paired with the young, lovely and innocent but very funny ML and you have the perfect recipe for this cdrama. He is both serious and hilarious and clueless and merciless, all into one person. GOOD JOB, TENCENT.

Zhao Lusi is the only cdrama actress that can anything and still look super cute. I’m so glad she didn’t act desperate, but made Lu Jin think or be decisive. I’m glad her friend like her, too. Why didn’t he stay in touch with her over the years.

This series is wonderful. Just my personal take: although the first part of this episode was kind of hard to watch, the small segment that starts at 8:27 makes it worth it. Lu Jin is finally confronting his feelings; he thinks back to all the times he has hurt Shengnan, and you can see the torment and indecision on his face. And THEN - major pivotal moment - he decides to go all in for her. The shot of him gently placing the spoon back in the box and giving it a caress is almost like a declaration of his intent to protect and treasure her from now on,. And while it was frustrating waiting for him to get off dead center and admit that he wants her, and how badly he's screwed up, it was worth it. He's a total badass in the boardroom and at a complete loss when it comes to love, but the writers did a great job setting up his background so you understand why. They are so perfectly matched that I completely forgot about the age difference around the third episode (actually, it was the moment when she threw the peppers in the skillet and said, "Challenge ME?" LOL). And the ridiculous outfit Li Man wore to try and attract him... and then she might as well have been wearing a trash bag for all the notice he took. 😂😂 This drama is unfolding in a whole series of small moments that are fun to go back and watch again. Top notch acting from the two leads!
She makes him childish, you can actually project their relationship if they were together in real life. So cute 🥰🥰

I vibe with ziqian. He treats her well, isn't controlling, is closer in age, and makes her happy. Preparing myself for some extreme second lead syndrome in the later episodes.

They have romanticized it but its just so bizarre, his annoying brother made more sense as a suitor and if he wasn’t so basic, they would have been a far more appropriate match, plus they actually had better chemistry, it was far more natural.
The best part is "no need, I'm home" l can't stop laughing at the way he opened the door ...😂😂 never expected this much laughter. Fussy Lu's expressions are out of this world 😂😂😂

The age doesn't matter when story and the characters are fun and easy going bcuz in some stories the characters are annoying even though the age gap is not big and in some dramas age gap is big and the characters are annoying as well but this drama is just different 🙂

I love it when Shengnan throws temper tantrums. She is hilarious and lovable at the same time. You can not help but to be drawn to her. Li Man should not wear those short skirts or shorts. It makes her look desperate, maybe that is what they were going for because she is in love with Lu Jin. Lu has not acknowledge her feelings. I am watching 9 and 10 for the second time and it is even better. I am so excited that I also get to watch 11 and 12 maybe I will save them for Saturday if I can resist. Helps to keep my mind off of this global pandemic for a minute😞
Plus, unlike Shengnan, Li Man kisses up to Lu’s mother. Shengnan is her own person and she doesn’t take any shot from nobody.
